    Watership Down

    Hi,

I have an adult male friend who is thinking of buying this book, & asked me if I've read it. It looks like it's a children's book, but have heard it's really good regardless. Has anyone read this?

I've watched the movie version of another book this author has written, called "Plague Dogs". It's disgustingly sad and unrelentingly bleak. Even though it appears childish with cute doggies, I would not have a child watch it. In that same vein, I hear "Watership Down" is also pretty dark.

Haha, I read Watership Down in the early-mid 90s. I thought it was good.
