Hey there,

I've been on 50 mg of Zoloft for about a year, for my hypochondria.

Recently, I began to realize that mentally I was feeling extremely flat. I felt lethargic, indifferent, and just generally unmotivated. The Zoloft certainly helped my ever-present hypochondria, but I believe at a certain point it actually started to work against me. It calmed me down, but it calmed me down too much.

So I decided to start cutting back to 25 mg and see how I do from there. I've been tapering for a few days now (with the direction of my doctor) and already I feel more energized and motivated to do things.

Just was curious if anybody else had this experience. I think my plan is that I will stay on 25 mg for the foreseeable future, and then maybe one day I'll get to a point where I want to get off the medication entirely, (I'll cross that bridge when I get there!)
