    Medication for Generalized Anxiety Disorder?

I have GED. The main problems I have with that is contant diarrhea in stressful situations - which seems to be constantly - and insomnia, as well as bouts of difficulty breathing.

I'm on Citalopram (Celexa) which hasn't been working fo me because the side affects are the same as what I'm trying to fix, which in turn doesn't help my anxiety. I also can't stand the jaw clenching anymore.

Does anyone have the same/similar problems and know of a medication that works for them for me to ask my doctor about?

    Thanks.

At best you simply tell your doctor why the medication is not working for you. What exactly you are going through. Medication is trial and error. What works good for one may not work as good for another. You doctor would more than likely try you on something else. See how that goes. Until he finds the right form of medication for you.
