    Weighted Blankets?

    Good evening folks,

I've been riding around the idea of getting ahold of a weighted blanjet. Wandering what are the opinions and general consensus on tgrm? Whenever I would get an x-ray and the nurse placed the lead blanket on; I thought it was quite nice. So just seeing what's out there

I've heard of these and I'm going to get me one lol.
You're going to lose people in your life, and realize that no matter how much time you spent with them or how often you told them you loved them, it will never seem like it was enough.

    Hug the ones you love.

I don't have one but I have heard of them.
I like pressure and find it very comforting.
I work with a few people that have them and I find it really helps in relaxation.

I use a heavy/thick duvet and it works quite well. Can't sleep without that. Tried thinner ones and blankets and they just don't work as well. I just find the pressure comforting.

But yes, a weighted blanket is expensive. I'm seeing three-figured prices when I looked. :/

My partner has a weighted blanket, and she loves it. Yes, they are a bit expensive (I paid around $330 for it), but it does seem to be worth it--for her at least. I don't like it at all, lol.

We bought ours from a local artisan who fortunately had a showroom where we could test out some samples. You should see if anyone in your area makes weighted blankets and test one out for yourself. That'll certainly relieve the anxiety of shelling out a few hundred for something you might not even like.

I have a weighted blanket and it changed my life. I can't sleep without it. My aunt got it for me for my birthday. It helps me feel more down to earth. I love it and feel very antsy and can't sleep without it. Mine was about 30 dollars and a knock off brand but is 15 pounds and works very well. Helps me feel down to earth when I get disassociation.

I use both a heated blanket and a weighted blanket. They work both so nicely together. My cats also love the blankets too

I have a question ... How do you know what weight to get because they do come in different sizes..
How does the blanket calm anxiety and panic ?

IDK how the weight matters or how it works. Have you ever had a dog or cat sit on you and the pressure of them sitting is comforting? Maybe it hits at certain pressure points?
