    The Road Not Taken

    Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
    And sorry I could not travel both
    And be one traveler, long I stood
    And looked down one as far as I could
    To where it bent in the undergrowth;

    Then took the other, as just as fair,
    And having perhaps the better claim,
    Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
    Though as for that the passing there
    Had worn them really about the same,

    And both that morning equally lay
    In leaves no step had trodden black.
    Oh, I kept the first for another day!
    Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
    I doubted if I should ever come back.

    I shall be telling this with a sigh
    Somewhere ages and ages hence:
    Two roads diverged in a wood, and I?
    I took the one less traveled by,
    And that has made all the difference.
    -Robert Frost-

    Do you think this poem is about taking risks? Choosing the path that is unknown by others?

    I think it?s about never being happy with the choice we made. Sigh.
    Or
    It is about the fact that sometimes, if given a choice, our journey leads us to the same destination, the same place, no matter which path we choose.
    Fate.

    This reminds me of the movie "Sliding Doors".

    I don't know Jamie. *sigh*

    I don't know. This reminds me of when I met my ex-gf.

    I approached her. I remember the moment and I'm sure she does too. Would everything, would lives have been changed if I never approached her, and she not............I don't know man, I don't know.
    You're going to lose people in your life, and realize that no matter how much time you spent with them or how often you told them you loved them, it will never seem like it was enough.

    Hug the ones you love.

    One of the things I really struggle with is "survivors guilt". I cannot get over this. I'm crying while I'm writing this. I cannot get over this.

    Choices in life. We take one road. We don't bother with the other road. But we will always wonder ' what if we had of taken the other road? '. Would it have brought us to better things? Though the road we took was good. We don't regret taken that road. It has shown us wonderful things. Things that made us happy. But ' what if ', still plays on our minds. Poet speaks about going back and taken the other path another day. Sees it as an option. But then thinks that will never be done. As if he doesn't want to really know what lays at the end of the other path. Like he wants a bit of mystery in his life. To not know is to create. Use your mind to what you think may have been down that other path. Like an open mystery. You made your choice and you stuck by it on day 1.
