    Trumpcamps

Everyone knows our current president has a compulsion to name things after himself, from hotels to casinos to food and golf courses. Luckily the majority of his business endeavors have failed.

One word that might stick around for a long time would be "trumpcamp." As in "The mother and father followed the legal process to seek asylum or refuge in the United States, but were separated by a border agent when they approached him, and their children were sent to live in cages and sleep under foil blankets on the floor of a former Wal-Mart, in a trumpcamp."

We still have "hoovervilles" from the tent cities erected by homeless WWI veterans in DC who were protesting not receiving the promised pay and other benefits like medical care from their military service. We still have "teddy bears" because Teddy Roosevelt, a rabid big game trophy hunter, refused to shoot and kill a bear cub chained to a tree. Who knows, maybe a hundred years from now the phrase "trumpcamp" will still be around. I hope the trumpcamps all fail as soon as possible, like most Trump casinos started with his daddy's money.

Seems he has now changed his mind on what he is doing. He will let the kids stay with their parents. How nice of him.

I won’t give an opinion on this for the sake of remaining neutral on a political issue, however I do feel it worth clarifying that the recent changes in separations seem to have been a result of a ‘no-tolerance’ policy instituted by Attorney General Jeff Sessions rather than Trump himself.

"Sessions camps" doesn't quite have the same ring to it. And Sessions would just be another politician if Trump hadn't appointed him US attorney general. I think he was even deemed too racist or homophobic to be approved to a federal judge position he was nominated for. Also, I have what is called an "Obama phone," even though Reagan initially proposed the idea of providing cheap and free telephones and telephone service to those who really needed it, so "Reagan phone" or maybe "Ronnie phone" would be more appropriate? People initially called the ACA the Obamacare Act, in an attempt to denigrate it, but it is pretty well known that Mitt Romney first initiated a very similar idea at a more local level, but "Mittcare" sounds like some product you'd see on an infomercial, "Romneycare" doesn't sound very appealing either, at least to me.

I try to avoid politics when appropriate. It is becoming harder and harder every day for me to do that with a clear conscience, with our current US and global political climate. Switzerland was technically neutral during WWII, but Swiss banks are documented to have financed the construction of Auschwitz and other concentration camps. While I am sure that Swiss banks financed the Allied war effort just as much as Nazi Germany's, I believe that if you don't pick a side and try to remain neutral somehow, you eventually end up aiding the side you disagree with in your silence. Just an opinion. Also I specifically posted this in the philosophy and debate section so that those who wish to avoid politics could do so.

It’s generally our policy as administrators to remain neutral regarding political topics as what we say can be misinterpreted as the official stance of Anxiety Space.

That being said, you have a right to your opinion but I find it hardly fair to imply that not taking a stance on an online forum regarding today’s political climate is in any way comparable to Swiss banks financing genocidal concentration camps during the Holocaust.

I didn't mean that remaining neutral as an administrator on a website forum is equivalent to funding concentration camps. I was speaking to my personal experience of trying to remain a neutral party in conflicts not working out in the end. I could have done that without drawing parallels to concentration camps. I apologize.

No worries. Likewise sorry for misinterpreting it then.

Leave the kids at home whilst you try and get into another country? That would be smart.

CloudMaker makes a lot of sense. Leave your loved ones behind when "ILEGALLY" seek refuge in another country. Why subject them to such a horrible experience when they can be subjected to worse things in the country they were born in, since they obviously won't be affected to the same issues their

If you can't say what you feel, but Trump can, you could pull another trick out of his bag and say something like you never actually said this or it wasn't really what you said. Works for him, I guess.

When things pop on my Facebook and I go read the comments by people I do not know there are so many that say he is nothing but a Liar and can not be trusted and he does not do what people think he has done for our country but then you have the ones who think he walks on water and has done sooooooooooo much and yell Fake News ,sorry but all news is not fake .

I still do not get why people do not remember how he did Obama the entire time he was in Office he did nothing but stir [BEEP] up and now people say We need to stand by our President even if we don't like him but where were they when Obama was in Office and when his wife was being attacked it is just unbelievable to me that republicans deny Obama was hounded . I am not saying Obama did great but none of the Presidents have don't everything they should have. I have never seen so much Drama since Trump got voted in it is a 3 ring circus here in the USA we are now the laughing stalks of the World!! Thanks to Him .
