How do I journal for relief?

Is there a proper way psychologists or psychiatrists suggest journaling for anxiety and depression relief? I?m dealing with allot of feelings of anxiety, anger, sadness and guilt and was hoping to find a way to write through the feelings in a productive way that will benefit me and neutralize some of the feelings. Hoping someone can give me advice!
    Thank you

I’m not an expert, but journaling is, for me, a very effective way for me to release my thoughts, come back to them, see where I might be wrong, or what I need to work on, etc.
There is no right or wrong way to journal. Just start writing in a safe place.
