What are things that can make you feel socially anxious?

A lot of things make me socially anxious Even if I'm looked at the wrong way Like, loud stores, the clerks, paying for food, making phone calls to diners, phone calls in general. Having to speak in front of a group of people. Disagreeing with someone in authority. A doctor being late when I'm in the office waiting in silence. If someone is taken back by what I said even in a good way I feel they are judging me after that and makes me nervous. If I'm complemented it gives me anxiety sometimes too.

All of the above, but additionally -

    * Being around people I don't know and trust in general
    * Interacting with people on the internet
    * Having to go out when not feeling that I look good or when I'm just not feeling good in general.
    * Talking to people I don't know. Especially if I feel the need to disagree with them.
    * Trying to explain something to someone I don't know well.
    * Public transport - The whole experience.
    * Asking for anything at all from someone I don't know well.

There's so many others, but those are the first few that come to mind.

It wildly varies. On some days pretty much nothing can make me feel socially anxious, on others I need very little to do so. So on bad days simply being visible does the trick. Waiting in line in the super market used to be one of those torturous things because there's no escape. What's probably the hardest for me is when something related to sexuality comes up or could come up in a conversation on a bad day. I think I've forgotten a lot of what triggers SA though, since it's been nowhere near what it used to be for a while.

There are a lot of little things, but some of the major ones are: driving someplace new, contacting someone in authority, car maintenance, doctors' visits, and any kind of paperwork.

Phone calls to people I don't know to deal with something important, leaving a voicemail (pretty much never do that).

If people rush me. Hate that. So I tend never to hurry no matter what others are trying to make do. They can all wait. For no matter how long.

Speaking in groups of people where there is no clear turn-taking in conversation. I hate it that it's necessary to raise my voice or interrupt in order to participate, and on a bad day can't do it at all. Speaking on the phone to people I don't know well, although the intimacy of it appeals to me. Workplace interactions. I no longer work that way, but being in the office and struggling between the need to maintain a fake workplace persona and a desire to connect to people in an authentic way.
