How is your mid week going?
Late afternoon here. The mother is home from hospital. Had to shop this morning. Post office to pay bills and the likes. Bloody rain was pelting down all morning.

Quite a chaotic day, but satisfied. I'm about 90% done packing the bike that I'm taking to Portugal. It's an old one with some DIY tweaks, so I had to take a couple of hurdles the first time ever packing a bike for a flight. I don't see this becoming my hobby any time soon, but I'm pleased how it turned out this far.
Ryanair changed the time for the return flight for the second time, this time one extra hour earlier. Caused a lot of stress because the schedule was already tight and I can't be flexible because I have to rely on public transportation, starting in the middle of nowhere. Nowadays I'm very happy this only causes high stress for a day or so, while this sort of thing used to pull the rug from under me for weeks in a row. I've shifted a good portion of my focus from what happens, to my response to what happens. Helps a lot to calm down.
How are you doing? Better nights?
The best book I read about trauma since '97 is Pete Walker's Complex PTSD: From Surviving To Thriving
Saw my GI the other day and he sat down with me to explain to me my symptoms. He basically said none of my symptoms show particular concern and all point to psyhcological issues because of how erratic they are. He'll let me take a test but he says he's fairly sure he'll find nothing.
Of course, guess what, when I was driving to the GI my arms and legs started getting fatigued (you know how they get tired if you overuse them? Same thing). Of course, my brain went the wrong way with that, even though I know I was having a small anxiety flare right before the GI. Woke up, symptoms remain.
HA is such a cruel beast.
I always feel like I lack perspective when complaining about my life when you're going through so much more difficulty! There's no comparison.
And yet, the week has been terrible, but every week feels like the week from hell.
Okay but long. I got to work at 7 a.m. and didn't leave until 5.
