    Why can't I have the life I want, only an approximation of it?

    Do I really have any choice in what to make of my life?

    If I do have a choice, what else is there besides settling down, home, family, kids, work, etc.? What do people do when they're not on that track in life? (this one is less a debate in my head and more just a sincere question)

    1. Whether or not people can ever really change/does therapy work.......if not, I'll stop trying so hard.

    2. Whether to take up drinking to have a good time, feel happy, loosen up (like I did in my early 20s)....Just can't drive then....

    At work we are having a new years party for the residents and their families

    I can
    1. Just go in as normal and just get on with things
    2. I can put a bit more effort in and try be really social
