Called by Test and Trace. Have apparently been in contact with someone covid positive. Wouldn't say who and where mind. Was told to get a PCR test. Do not have to isolate apparently because I am 2x jabbed, but figure I should anyway until that test comes back. Was hoping to visit family this weekend. But a few are high risk. Ah well.

I always have a difficult time being productive on Sundays (even enjoying recreational activities) due to constantly thinking about what I need to get done for the following work week.

Yeah. Weekends never feel long enough for me. Or productive enough.

Still, short week this one. Working letting us have Friday off for Christmas Eve.

I get an optional half-day off on Christmas Eve, which I will be taking. I'm not as productive on Friday afternoons anyway, why bother being there. I also get the Monday after off so I'm relieved to get an extra day of rest.

I learned that a bunch of NHL games are postponed and hockey players may not be participating in the Olympics in February... so that actually ruined my mood today more than the upcoming work week.

Just when there was something to look forward to and be excited for in life again... it is snatched away. It's like nature and the world is doing its best to encourage humans into depression and suicide. I don't blame it at all. It just sucks right now, and it always has... but there used to be small reprieves and mercies to get us through.

I get Monday and Tuesday, they're public holidays as Christmad and Boxing Day are on a weekend. Then half day 31st,public holiday 3rd as New years is a weekend as well.

You stay at work till your usual time. We don't get paid for the hours we leave early, so some people may opt to stay for the money... however I'm at the point where I would pay them just for some extra rest.
