    He's not the first funny person in entertainment to have dealt with depression and such in the past either. Someone else opened up about a year ago or so (totally forgot who, arghhh). Whenever celebrities open up about the struggles they've endured, it kind of... comforts me. Lets me know that we're not alone and that you truly truly trulyyyy never know what someone is really going through on the inside, even if they seem and look so perfect to you

    A lot of comedians are self loathing and depressed. I have heard this about Letterman before--that he would go into tirades after taping shows thinking the show was horrible and such.

    I've noticed this too. The sarcasm and what not, sometimes rings the vibe of real bitterness, although people find it funny.
