You're invited to the New Year's Eve Bash!!

This world will begin a new year, so let's celebrate!!

When you are getting close to your midnight, let us know and whoever is here (I'll be here too) can countdown and party with you.

Sing! Dance! Write stupid stuff! Give drunk news! Post funny (not hurtful) memes! The stupider, the better!

Lasair had a good idea on how to do this. She said just pop in on your New Year's Eve and whoever's here can join in the festivities. I tried to work it out with a timeline but that was too complicated. I'm hoping there's enough people online so nobody, no matter what time zone you're in has to countdown alone. I will be at work when our Australia friends start the party so all you Aussies show us Americans what a party looks like!

Yay! We're trying to figure out a way to have a lot of people here during everybody's midnight in the feedback section so nobody will be alone on their countdown. I think it will be fun. I have to work till 6pm New Year's Eve, but I'll be here after that. (Sh! I might sneak in here occassionally from work) I hope people here celebrate all that day with others. I think our Australia friends start the party and Europe chimes in before the U.S. so hopefully by the time we get here there will be people with their underwear on their heads, dead fireworks everywhere, gifs, memes, dozens of totally incoherent posts and at least most of the forum's countdowns.

Frogs know how to drink so yeah definitely! I had a bullfrog in my backyard in New Orleans that drank the beer I put out for snails. When we were moving, we couldn't get him to leave. I think he needed rehab.

How dare they make you work on New Year's Day! Yeah, stay up with us. Sleeping is overrated.

Alright! Ohio is on the clock! I should be good and plastered by that time. I think you're either an hour or two hours behind me.

I just did some reading and figured out the order of celebration. Apparently the uninhabited Caroline Island (Kiribati) is the first place to celebrate and the first inhabited location is Hakepa Hill on New Zealand's Pitt Island followed by...
    Auckland, New Zealand
    Fiji
    Australia
    Papa New Guinea
    Japan
.. basically the known world map from right to left.. finishing with the Hawaiian islands which are situated on the same longitude, 1,500 km (930 mi) north of Caroline island but because the international date line bends back and forth around Continents and islands it's essentially a full day behind.

    phew... ok carry on...

I'll probably be last, living on the furthest part of the west half of the U.S. lol sounds like a nice idea though ^^

Wait. That's right. The east coast is after me and Ohio is before me. See why my timeline didn't work?

So I'll be plastered but I should be there if you come! Ohio, I should still be coherent.

Thanks for looking all that up. Well, if we get a countdown on the first hour, then somebody from Caroline Island is here.

    What?

I know it's uninhabited, but it could happen.
