    Empathy Score?

I want to see if SAers lack empathy or something (due to being socially deficient).

Don't be embarrassed. I've read criticism that this test collapsed emotional empathy into cognitive empathy. Ideally, they should be differentiated otherwise people who have low cognitive empathy but high emotional empathy might still get a low overall score.

This is a break down of emotional and cognitive empathy:

Just squeaked by with a 64. But I'm a counselor besides a librarian, so I think I was trained in empathy more than that it comes naturally.

    41. I must admit I have a hard time feeling anything genuine for people who aren't directly connected to me. Also, I tend to feel more empathy for animals than humans >.>

I scored 53. Just 'above average' . I cry watching movies or too sad or emotional news stories.

The first time I did the test, years ago, I scored above average. But that was when I thought I could read people very well. I've changed my mind now, and think I don't read people well at all (I changed my mind after I did this body language reading test and I scored low). So when it comes to questions like ''I can tell if someone is masking their true emotion" ... well I used to think yes, that this sort of stuff is obvious. But honestly you don't know because it's subjective. So this time I answered much more conservatively and I scored in the average range, about 35.
