Anybody else taking this? Especially curious if I can find anybody else who's taking it as a sleep aid only as I am.

Previously I'd have rated use of an antipsychotic for a sleep aid as crazy, but I've found this one actually works for a good sleep without a hangover effect.

I've not taken it but I must admit I'm curious about it now since I'm someone whose long suffered from insomnia, but has found most sleep aids to be either ineffective or hangover/major side effect inducing so I find your experience intriguing.

It's definitely worth a try. Never thought I'd ever say that about any AP. I had a great sleep last night again. You don't even realize just how important & restful good sleep is until you finally get some, something I hadn't had since, well, I don't f'ing remember as it's been so damn long.

I've tried so many things that do zip: Ambien, Lunesta, Rozerem, amitriptyline, doxepine, antihistamines, Remeron, melatonin. Then there's Seroquel that works but makes me sleep the whole damn day, which isn't an improvement. Merely changes the problem.

Still I feel weird about taking an AP for sleep only. It seems quite extreme. I mean it seems like it should be used for things that truly demand an AP, like bipolar & schizophrenia. I've yet to find anybody who's using it for sleep only. Not like Seroquel where you'll find tons of people (my brother being one) who takes it for sleep only. Seems a rarity to find an actual psychotic person on Seroquel.

Trazodone will make me sleep as well, though my former pdoc scared me away from that with mention of the risk of priapism. I tried that back in 2001, though I don't recall if it had a hangover effect -- quite possibly it did.
