    New.

    I have severe anxiety and I've been having anxiety attacks for months. I can't take prescription pills because I'm an air traffic controller and I've been trying herbs (valerian, ignatia, passion flower) but nothing seems to work. And I ALWAYS have anxiety attacks when I have to speak to a group and next week and have to give a short presentation to everyone in my work and I'm petrified of having an anxiety attack. Please help me.

    This is one of those cases where the fear creates what yer afraid of. The way I see it, yer there to give your presentation, and the people are there to listen, so
    what's to worry bout? If you keep your thoughts to what you're doin' instead of a rather pointless and anxiety causing notion that all the people will judge you, It might
    feel a little better, cuz in the end they ARE there to see it, rather than waste their time thinking silly things like that, and if they did? well....somethin's kinda funny with 'em that's for sure.

    Sorry if I'm not too much help atm; extreeeeemely tired to the point I'm not sure I'm makin' any sense. @_x

    Hi there!

    Have you tried therapy, specifically CBT? It took me a while to find the right therapist, but I'm so glad I kept looking because I found a great one recently. And, he has helped me tremendously with changing my thought patterns, which seem to be a huge cause of anxiety.

    You're not alone, Flea. I do recommend seeing a doctor and a therapist, they can give you some non-meds options.
