Started this today. It's a little amusing that a book I read when I was eight years old is so hard to understand in a different language.
It is the light she longs to find,
When she delights in learning more.
Her world is learning; it defines
    The destiny she?s reaching for

Who's In Charge?: Free Will and the Science of the Brain by Michael S. Gazzaniga.

I remember watching his Gifford lectures years ago and finding his work interesting. Now that the topic of determinism is in my head, it's the perfect time to read it.

    Bad Blood by John Carreyrou

It's about the Theranos scandal... I've been on a binge lately, I listened to the 10+ hour podcast, watched several takes on YouTube, and plan to watch the TV adaptation after I'm done the book.

Insane story. Real life is stranger than fiction.

The Bhagavad Gita for like the sixth time. Also, I Am That by Nisargadatta Maharaj and The Ramayana (which is taking me forever).

The World as Will and Representation by Schopenhauer

I've read that he was inspired by the Upanishads, so I'm going to check him out.

Honestly, right now- very indulgent fanfiction.

I downloaded King Leopold's Ghost a few weeks ago but it's really boring so far, just going into the slog of the Congo's history.
