Does anyone use a PO Box?

I'm thinking about it, but the option I need is $140 for one year. Is it worth it?

I HAVE to use one and I hate it. Live in a small town so no mail delivery. It's a pain when you are ordering with certain sites. It has caused me a lot of problems and I would love to just have normal mail like everyone else. I would advise you NOT to get one.

The post office in America has a section like so - http://macsystems.com/Dec11-2009.jpg Those boxes are assigned to people who pay for them. (located at a post office). They hold letters and you pick them up/ use a key (instead of it going to your house). They have slips they put in your mail box if the package is to big and you go to the service center right their and pick it up.

tbh, I love PO boxes, lot safer then the mailing address I have were EVERYTHING gets lost.
Oh okay - that seems like so much hassle lol

I have lived places where it has been the only option. I have home delivery now and sometimes think I should have a PO Box when I don't receive things that the post office insisted was delivered and I am just SOL. But the closest is 5 miles away and I'm just too lazy to do that very often, I like the convenience.

I have one. I hate going to the post office and picking up packages, because I hate standing in line due to SA and I hate talking to the postmaster, but I like getting packages.
    I don't get a signature.

I use one out here cuz it's a small town, and mail doesn't get delivered to houses here; everyone goes to their post office box for their mail.
That's gonna change for me tho cuz I'm going back to city life.

Same here. Back in the city now and loving it.

That said, as an 18-year-old I paid $120 a year for a P.O. box just because my parents went through my mail otherwise. I'd come home to, "You're 10 days late on your car payment!?" or something equally trivial.

This reminds me of children's television. When you used to have to send a stamped addressed envelope to PO Box whatever. Not that I ever did. I suppose they just use email now. Do people even put "answers on a postcard" anymore.
