    A week of panic

For the past week, I have had sudden attacks of panic. I have no clue why. It can be at work, at home, attacks that wake me up from a sound sleep. I also feel fear. What runs through my head is "I'll mess up."

    Anybody else experiencing this?

I can relate to the one when your asleep but generally that's just after I've just panicked so I usually just blame it on that. Sounds really suckish though if it's been happening out of the blue for a week without any obvious triggers

I can relate to that, Chanty. I've felt really panicky for almost two weeks now and I have no real reasoning for it.
I hope you can feel better knowing that you're not alone in feeling this way.

It can happen during times of stress.
It would wake me up from sleeping. It was just recent, too.

Thanks guys for understanding. I talked with my therapist today and I'm just not really sure why I'm feeling like this. It's definitely something internally. But yeah, Chloe, it sucks.

And I'm sorry you guys go through that too. It would be so much easier to be able to pinpoint a one happening to cause it.

Lizard, what's weird? Did you mean to say "It" was a good portion of last week or were you asking if our interactions set me off. I know we talked a bit, but it definitely wasn't anything anyone here said or did.

It's still happening though. I had it again this afternoon. Just can't get my heart to stop racing and my mind to stop panicking.

Yep. I'm scared that I am wrong/bad/stupid/inept/all of the above.

    Sigh.

I use to have a really bad panic attack disorder (to the point where it almost landed me in a psych ward some years back) but thankfully they have seemed to subside for the most part....but every now and then they seem to rear their ugly head . The only thing that seems to help me is various breathing exercises/meditation/and knowing that in time they will pass and to just let them do their thing. Sorry you have to go through this ...if I could I would give that panic of yours such a boppa!!

I may not have much to offer but I do have some squishy koala hugs to give!

    Hi my koala buddy,

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. Yeah, it doesn't feel good for this to happen. Especially because then sleep deprivation sets in. I've been trying to do the breathing thing and I joined a gym so exercising like a lunatic before coming home from work helps.

Thanks for the hug. Your hugs are the best!
