Do studios only make movies 3D to get that extra coin? Or does it actually make movies better?

I do not like 3D movies. I like the idea of 3D movies but I wear glasses and I've never owned contacts. So when I go to 3D movies I have to put the 3D glasses over my regular glasses and I have to continuously push the 3D glasses up on my face so they will stay on and its annoying and takes away the fun of the movie.
Beating anxiety this year
I'm sure people like them or else they wouldn't be made.
It adds something to the theatre experience that you can't normally get from home.
(Assuming you aren't using a 3D TV)
