Calgary's IT department is not going home tonight. Stuff is so bad here right now that there was an official "crisis" declaration by the head of IT, basically all of the city's intranet systems are non-functional.
Good thing I'm a low level plebe who has nothing to do with this crisis and gets to go home at a normal time.

For my random thought, have you ever met someone and had a suspicion that said person also suffers from anxiety of some sorts? I think one of the new girls here does, just because of the way she's acted around me. It just reminds me so much of...well..me! She doesn't really make eye contact, is really soft spoken, and got me to make some phone calls for one of her client's issues.

It bothers me that dandelions are considered weeds. To me, they bring back memories of hazy and worry-free childhood summers- green grass, "wishing flowers", and barbeques.
And come to think of it, I thought they were quite pretty. But I was taught to scorn them, that they were pests... now isn't that something to think about, when you consider things like how racism and homophobia manifest.
