I had to run out to Tesco late last night when I realized that 1) it was Mothers day today and 2) I hadn't actually got her anything.

It was unsurpsingly busy. Apparently I wasn't the only one who'd forgotten.

Ami the only person who thinks birthdays are no big deal?
I'd love to never celebrate a birthday ever again, but it's a tradition in my family >.<. I think it's something that should be just for kids.

People love to [BEEP] about american tourists, but ever since I've started working in the tourism industry (airport and hotel reception), I can honestly say that in general they're one of the most friendly nationalities, along with the brits, canadians and australians. I'm going to refrain from naming the worst/rudest guests/passengers

Haha not at all, Lasair the irish are usually super friendly. Let's just say that the french people stereotype is spot-on (the most unfriendly/rude/never happy about anything, are the ones in the age range of ~ 25 to 45.. Old french people are usualy alright) and other south europeans in general follow this trend as well.. And then there are our friends from the north, norwegians and danes... Polite but cold and super impatient.. If they have to wait 2 minutes for something it's the end of the world for them :b
My wife, who's been working at Geneva airport for years notices the exact same things.. She's french and she also thinks that french people are the rudest, along with russians and israeli.. Lol ok I named names.. I hope i didnt offend anyone :b
