Same ^ I've developed terminal insomnia at 4.30 am most nights this week. Feeling extremely trashed right now.
Argh! I've also suffered from insomnia for a large portion of my life.
One thing that has helped me is turning 'night mode' on my devices after a certain time of day. It dims the blue light spectrum and gives the screen a more warm glow which is supposed to prevent wakefulness as a result of looking at screens.
Have you ever tried taking a bath and meditating right before bed?
I can't take a bath but I always shower before bed. I do sometimes meditate but sometimes that backfires and I end up ruminating instead.
Yeah I put blue filter apps on my devices and I have no trouble falling asleep but I seem to be waking up like clockwork at 4.30 ish am, and can't fall asleep again for well over an hour. Going to probably try sleep restriction therapy, which I've done before (for sleep onset insomnia) and it's pretty effective but requires will power.
