Florida woman named ‘Crystal Metheney’ arrested for firing ‘missile’ at car

    From RawStory

"A Florida woman with the name “Crystal Metheney” was recently arrested after police accused her of firing a so-called “missile” at a car.

An arrest report flagged by the Guyism blog on Tuesday, said that 37-year-old Crystal Metheney was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in May on weapons charges of shooting a “missile” into “an occupied vehicle.”

The report did not say if Metheney had fired a bottle rocket firework or some type of larger, more dangerous “missile.”

Metheney was released after posting $5,000 bail. She also has a previous arrest for marijuana possession, but no charges related to crystal meth. "

Polk County, FL police are master exaggerators, I've experienced them before. Don't ever try to drive through that horrible area, that's all I'll say.

It's just a name, why would it be a problem?

I understand what the name means, but it's a personal choice. That person obviously wants attention, so people can choose to give it or not.

Most people don't pick out their own name. However, did this name contribute to her delinquency or not? It is just a name but I still think it's pretty bad. The worst I've ever hear is Meconium. This is the term that refers to the first poop that looks like black tar which comes out of most babies. Sometimes people do not realize something. I had a friend who wanted to given her son a unique name. She chose Marshall Wyatt.....everyone would finish if off for her by saying Earp. She got mad why is everyone saying Earp? Is this the new thing to say?

Another friend was like oh come on! Marshall Wyatt Earp, the infamous gun fight at the OK corral. She had no idea. She thought it sounded good together.
There are names I never thought as bad until kids point out the obvious such as You're A Man long pause Duh!

This is also a good point. I went to high school with some kids with really horrid names... Jack Daniels, Tom Morrow, and Michael "Mike" Hunt (sound it out).
I am not even kidding. I swear to God.
Sometimes people really aren't thinking when they name their children.

I was assuming that she changed her name to Crystal Metheney, if it was her parents then yeah, that's horrible.

x2. Aren't names fun? Recently at a bar, when a woman I didn't want to talk to introduced herself, I said Hi, I'm Hermes, as in "herpes." Quickest end to a convo ever.

    OT, yes. Fire ye missles!
