I'm an Australian of Irish + Scottish descent (hence, the Celt part of my username), so yes, I grew up with the hatred of the crown surrounding me.

The whole Irish Celt thing never happened. No proof they ever settled here. Yes, we traded with them. No settlements ever found. The whole Celt thing is used to get tourists to Ireland. Us Irish prefer to use the term Gaels.
