So I got in trouble on Yahoo Answers again

One of the answers I gave to a question on Yahoo Answers got like 5 thumbs up, but got reported and they deducted 10 ponits from my account lol. I've gotten in trouble so many times on that website.

The answer on Yahoo Answers was reported and deleted by one or more trusted members of the Answers community:

    Thanks,

Do you think it's worth trying to appeal? lol

I dunno what criteria they use to consider people to be trusted members of their community.

The guy asking the question was clearly a troll and I called him out on it, but I guess that was mean.

So when they say they're going to deduct more points, I feel like they're making it clear that they are a-holes about how they don't really care.

You were not in the wrong here.
Personally, I hate Yahoo Answers. I don't think a lot of the information on the site is trustworthy to begin with, and unfortunately, you're right- a lot of people just go on the site to BE trolls and to piss each other off. It's sad. I've seen some very rude posts on there.
You had every right to call the person out. I don't know what they posted and what you said in return, but if they weren't using the site correctly then it was probably necessary for someone to set them straight.
No clue whatsoever what they consider a "trusted" member of the community... If it was up to me, I'd make sure they only trusted doctors or nurses and people with a PHD in something... The information people can post on that website makes me sick. It's often misinformed and especially when it's medical advice it can be really scary because of that.
If I tried to appeal to them, I'd inform admin politely that the user you commented to was being a jerk and using their website inappropriately.
Try not to worry about it too much, though. The world and especially the Internet is full of a**holes sometimes.

The only thing I remember is that I replied with "Nice troll question" which didn't get any thumbs down the last time I checked.

I think the question might have gotten deleted. It never says if the troll deleted his own "thread" or if Yahoo got rid of it.
