Probably crows because they're so intelligent.
http://www.welcomewildlife.com/?fold...birds/smartestBirds are among the smartest animals in the world. The smartest of the smart are in the Corvidae family -- crows, ravens, jackdaws, jays, nutcrackers, magpies, choughs, treepies and others. Controlled lab studies and thousands of observations in the wild show how remarkably advanced these birds are in their problem-solving skills.
Toucans because they're so durn cute.
Keep it cool. Cool people never show emotion. Keep it cool.
I happen to love cassowaries and lyre birds. Cassowaries are basically prettier emus that can disembowel you and the lyre bird can not only mimic just about any noise, it also passes them on - so lyre birds still sing the songs of bird species long since extinct. If I've caused anyone panic, I'm sorry and also cassowaries are very shy and wont attack unless provoked. They are also endangered and live only in the rainforests of far north Qld, as far as I know, so you are very unlikely to just run into one - and if you do, they are highly likely to run away before you even know they were there.

Speaking of forgetting birds, I forgot ostriches. I change my answer to ostriches. Ostriches are my favorite birds. You can put little machine guns on their sides and ride them to mow down your enemies.

I like finches like goldfinches or bull finches I love the colour on them, most birds of prey, penguins are very cool for their adaptations.
I'll make you jealous and say my best memory of birds has to be seeing two wild bald eagles on this old dead twisted tree at the road side, barely a glimpse but enough to make me happy for a lifetime
