We have new starters. Been sat on a Teams call with them. Dont really have a formal dress code at work. They are all in suits and ties. I kind of feel a bit underdressed really, I'm just sat there in a t-shirt.

Debating quitting my useless job. Three day weekend and don't want to go back.
Yup, work work work covers it. But at least I'm going in for part of the day. I hate being at home the whole time.

I'm listening to some tranquil piano music and remembering the way I felt when I was walking alone through the streets of Bogota in the rain. I'd been traveling alone in Colombia for three and a half weeks, journeying to all these sweltering beaches and jungles. Now I was in a big city where it's usually cloudy and chilly, and it was pouring rain, and I carried an umbrella. Water was pouring off the edges and forming deep puddles on the streets.
The cold rain, combined with the skyscrapers, made me feel like I was back home again in Seattle. But there were also taxis everywhere, signs in Spanish, and landmarks I'd never seen before. I had a feeling that was familiar and strange, all at once.
