Think Govern is hard? Granddad was from Aberdeen area. Could not understand half of what he said. Very thick accent. Spoke doric. Would you funny if the doll was prattling away in Doric.

Bet you the doll has an Edinburgh accent. Quite soothing that one. Lifeboat service did a poll once here of "which accent is the most soothing to listen to when you call us?". Think Edinburgh topped the list.

Good video on Doric. Though the bloke presenting the video has the same accent as Jamsie from Rab C Nessbit. Few words here and there that are just local words. They would get you.



Second video is a bit amusing. You see the English words as he says them in Doric.
