I was curious about this as they had been married for a long time. Apparently this woman has pursued multiple members of the band over the years:

Jim left Sonic Youth and moved in Japan.

She had first been with O'Rouke and through him got into SYs orbit. He left 2005ish iirc and the relationship began in 2010ish so she didn't immediately jump from him to Thurston, but after he left her and went to Japan she sorta still hung around on the periphery.

Gross. Is she going to start an affair with Kim now? I've seen someone online claim to have done that with a married couple before.


I mean this is old news. Yes he cheated on Kim but he is happier with Eva so let people live their lives. I think it’s so obnoxious that even to this day people post on thurston’s instagram about him making a change 14 years ago and all this vitriol from Kim g stans. I feel like enough time has passed does it really matter what a rock star does with their personal life? Thurston is an amazing musician. The book I really want to read about is the one from Malcolm MacLaren’s partner who cheated with Richard hell. Richard hell is apparently really good in the sack. I kind of want to find out for real from the rumors.
How the hell do you know he’s happier with Eva? It still matters, because everyone thought they were this fantastically cool couple, and then it turns out he’s a cliche who cheats on his wife with a younger woman because of a midlife crisis. People looked up to him, but that changed when they found out.

Also, he destroyed many people’s favorite band, and then acted like he didn’t.

I'm not a fan of this band really as I say I've heard one song (I doubt he's amazing.) I just really hate cheaters and people like this. Which is a lot of people, as a lot of people suck.

Jezebel is gender fascism. By not having any real critical facility to understand, in their case, men in relationship to women (presumably them) they opt to promote hate by imperialist blather. By couching it in feminism is a distinct lack of class, but i'm sure they're having a bit of online fun and when they grow up maybe they'll glean the complexities of real life and love.

Hawking doesn't call Moore a dick, but the content of his post is much more damning: Moore isn't just some run-of-the-mill asshole, he seemed to set an example "that you didn't have to be a heartbreakin', groupie-shaggin' alpha male to be cool," but then proved to be not so different from one of the guys from Motley Crue.

Oh well there are other guys who are better examples of that potentially. But of course no one really knows what's going on in their lives either.
