Child support claim rankles sperm donor to lesbian couple

KANSAS CITY, Kansas (Reuters) - A Kansas man who donated sperm to a lesbian couple so they could have a child said on Wednesday he is shocked the state is now trying to make him pay child support.

This sickens me....and to think I myself would do such a thing for people who couldn't have a child, and that I just about did once.
So lucky I didn't. I would'a been sooooo screwed. Doesn't matter where you are, fathers are treated like total and complete DOGSHIT by the child support system. I know of one case where the father paid 4800$/year PER CHILD...and it went all to the gov. Not to the mother, not to the children. Started when they were round 14, went on even to 25 years old. That's how they like to do it in Canada. Thankfully, this father I speak of is going to court over it. He got some of the 'overpayment' back already, now going for the rest. Good on him; The poor man suffered near broke all the time for over a decade they took soooo much from him. Fuckers.

I think Kansas is basing their claim on the fact that they didn't go through an approved sperm donor system, they found the father on Craig'sList. So when the couple split they went after the biological father for what the state had paid for health coverage. I think the whole thing is ludicrous and will hopefully be tossed out for the crap that it is. They will spend more in litigation fees than they will in recouping any money. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
