Any techniques you use to increase your confidence for social situations?
I know that just saying out loud to myself, "You're ok, you're ok," calms me down. I used to back out of things but there came a time when I was forced to get involved in the social activity so I just learned to calm myself down before and after it with that self talk.

If I don't know the person that well, I try and tell myself that the chances of ever seeing them again are minimal, and therefore, why should what I do have any effect?
