is it wrong to pretend to be managing issues that you don't have?

for example to talk about your car issues when you don't even own a car or drive? i know this scenario is a little implausible since how could you pretend to manage an issue you know nothing about but assume you're doing a good job faking it. is this okay?

I don't understand why someone would do that? That's a total waste of time and energy not just for oneself but for others as well. I never understood why people would bother to make up problems and act like they are so freakin depressed when there's really none of that going on in their life... and that all they want is attention. I guess this is what it's about.

^Simply because it now seems "cool" to be playing the victim. I blame Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Weheartit, etc etc etc...which seems to glorify and romanticize being a victim at sometimes and having "issues" to deal with. Some of it is really quite sickening, and it just undermines the issues that people actually suffer from them have to deal with.

Yeah.. I hate that. I actually have issues and I can't really go to most people about them without being told to just deal with it, being told it's not all that bad... that I'm overreacting... etc. And of course, in some cases, people just do not believe me *shrug*

People these days... ruins it for everyone else.

Half the problem is that people pretending to deal with this issues seem to have a handle of things. Therefore, people who actually deal with them are expected to be able to "cope" as well as people who aren't. And of course, since the person doesn't actually deal with them...there's not really much to cope with. They're simply undermining another persons problem.

Seems a bit odd and disrespectful to pretend to have chronic issues, and yeah, it dilutes the meaning of the problems and makes people feel like it's less of an issue for a people who really have those problems and that they're just weak for not being able to deal with them. :/

This is so, so wrong. I haven't come across anyone who's pretending to have sad or depression (well, at least that I'm aware of). I know that on another site (that won't be named here) there were some people who had absolutely no reason to be there. They were there to flirt, or troll or flame people. Maybe some of them pretended to have sad.

Your girlfriend's silence might be her loudest scream.

If you still have more dreams than regrets, congratulations. You haven't gotten old yet.

Spend every moment like it's your last. Hug her, kiss her, hold her, like it's the last time that you ever will. Because it might be.

    Sounds like SAS. Just sayin'

Came across numerous people like that on that forum in the past... and I believe other members noticed it as well.

They did. And the majority of the trolls came from puahate.com . There's multiple threads on there about trolling SAS.
