"A still more glorious dawn awaits
Not a sunrise, but a galaxy rise
A morning filled with 400 billion suns
The rising of the milky way"
"The sky calls to us
If we do not destroy ourselves
We will one day venture to the stars" -Carl Sagan
That is SCARY! The part where the astronaut is just floating away from the Shuttle. I am like "panic attack! What happens if he is not able to come back to the Shuttle?!"![]()
I think I saw this segment when it first aired on tv.When did it first air? Mariah Carey looked very young. I wasn't too much into watching Cosmos when I was younger but my brother and also my Aunt used to watch it. I watched this earlier today and it kind of stuck with me. It makes you think. Thanks for posting.
It makes me feel empowered every time I watch it. there are other versions with other music ect. But the meaning remains the same. So humbling, makes my brain just go WOW what is really going on here?

Well, I know that I saw this once before, probably on some news program like 60 minutes or something.
