My birthday is coming up on November 28. I will officially be older than dirt (57). Dinosaurs are younger than me.

Last year, I was supposed to have a surprise birthday party, but then I left my job, my house got sold and well, it didn't happen. I just told my kids I was too depressed to celebrate. That was going to be the very first birthday party I've ever had. Yep..............never had one.

I don't put my birthday on my profile because if people saw how old I was, they would run screaming. I mean I'm really OooooooollllllllllllllDDDDDDDD!!! Again........ 57.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell ya'll I was going to have a birthday in a week or so (day after Thanksgiving).............ADHD moment. I was born on Thanksgiving. I was a Turkey baby.

Anyway, again................I've spent many a birthday with my own kids forgetting to tell me Happy Birthday.................and well, I'm going down a pathetic road here.............

So hint, hint..............my birthday is coming up.

And I'm so old, do you even know the odds of me surviving one more week???!! I mean. I could just die right in my tracks in the next day or two.

I'm gonna be VERY busy next week, as I'll be on a flight home to Albertie and then regaining some semblance of what was my life n' stuff, so in case I'm not around (prolly won't be for a couple weeks) I'll wish ya a Happy Birthday now in advance.
I personally hate em, cuz to me they just that one more nail driven into yer coffin sorta deal.
But then, age is a number....it's how we age that matters I guess, and best living your life just as if yer always 30 years old.

Like Skippy I'll be busy that day, I'm having my college graduation. Wishing you an early happy birthday. Anyway misses your age does not define you.

Sometimes I feel really old. I'm only 48. You are an inspiration to me so just keep living and trying to do what you want.
Our society in general fears aging so much. I know that I look young for my age, occasionally I get shocked when I see someone, say a classmate who has not aged as well. I think Wow what happened to them? Occasionally, something has happened, such as they have cancer or some other disease. I was looking at one of those celebrities who have not aged well and there was a photo of Jasmine Guy, she used to play Whitley on "A Different World." She does look older than she should, but...she has been battling lupus like forever and she is lucky to be alive. It changed my outlook and I try very hard to not judge people on their appearance.

I read an article recently which said if you would be willing to do something if you were 5 to seven years either older or younger than you are right now may as well just go for it, which is why I've decided to finish out getting a degree in education. I'm sure I'm going to worry about being so old...but hey my Aunt Stella lived to 102 years old.

Yay!! Happy graduation! You're finally doing it. My youngest son graduates in December from college too. Thank you for the birthday wishes.

And yeah, I know age doesn't define me. People are usually shocked when they find out my age. They say, "You don't look it, and you certainly don't act it." But I have to admit that after jumping around with kids all day in storytimes, I'm starting to get those "old people" aches and pains. I guess that's what Aleve is for, huh? To keep us old fogeys going.

Yeah, I've never let age stop me. I do have to admit that I'm shocked that I lived this long.............I'm very accident prone and pretty stupid on safety decisions. I agree that you're never too old for anything though. I got my first Masters at age 33 and my second Masters at age 50 (long story how I was promoted to a Children's Librarian position before I actually got the degree). In a few years, I'm going to start my PhD (again). I want to do research and then teach in a college after I retire from my present job. I'll be one of those people who die in their tracks doing something fun.

My grandmother walked 3 miles to a Mardi Gras parade and 3 miles back. Then she just dropped dead. That's the way I want to go. I tell my co-workers that if I happen to drop dead while doing storytime, just shove me under a desk and keep going.

You will be my mother's age, and I've never really considered her to be "old". Probably did when I was a kid, but not so much now xD.
