    Confused.

    Does it matter which one I see as in therapy wise? A therapist or psychologist? A big difference????, just seems like labels.

    You didn't mention psychiatrist but they can prescribe meds and therapists can't. Other than that I don't think the labels matter.

    There are different kinds of psychologists, but for the most part they are the same. The only difference seems to be in the qualifications they get after they do their Bachelors (i.e. what Masters degree they choose to go for), but yeah don't get too hung up on labels. What's important is finding someone you can trust and open up to.

    By all means check out your therapist and their qualifications before arranging to see them. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor capable of prescribing medication. Then you have your psychologists and psychotherapists. It can be a bit of a complicated landscape full of labels but the important thing is the rapport and connection you develop with your therapist.
