Sigrid's album Sucker Punch is amazing. I didn't really like her new one, though.

@Doseone I haven't bought any of her albums so I've just listened to stuff off YouTube and I think it's mostly from that album. I remember listening to a newer track and didn't get into it, there's another I listened to yesterday that's newer and it's OK but it's not... Interesting? I like her singles that she posted from Sucker Punch. I think she has a really unique/great voice but then the music isn't always up to the same level and is a bit boring but as a singer she's very talented.
I like this track too which is apparently from her EP Raw:

That's this concert only I was alive but I was 5:worldsinmyeyes-deactivated20220
when ur fave band does the tour of ur fave album when u weren't even alive?..rude as hell tbh :/
I love their psychedelic era a lot. This isn't just one album though they're playing from (but well obviously.) I don't have a favourite Porcupine Tree album either. Signify is a great album though. Some of my favourite Porcupine Tree Tracks are from that album:
Edit (at this point this is actually the last time I've edited this post): somehow in spite of what I just said I have never actually paid attention to the lyrics to Waiting (Phase One) before.
Waiting, to be born again
Wanting, the saddest kind of pain
Waiting for the day when I will crawl away
Nothing is what I feel
Waiting, for the drugs to make it real
Waiting, for the day when I will crawl away
Waiting, to be disciplined
Aching, for your nails across my skin
Waiting, for the day when I will crawl
Waiting, for the day when I will crawl away
Or maybe I half-listened before but now I'm interpreting it in a different way. Haha I'm 90% sure this is intended to be metaphorical and negative but the bolded part 😳
H̶e̶ ̶h̶a̶d̶ ̶s̶u̶c̶h̶ ̶g̶r̶e̶a̶t̶ ̶h̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶
I don't know if it would be worse to have gone to a concert you'll never remember or to have never gone at all. Thinking about this in regards to Nirvana not that my parents would have taken me but my dad was into Nirvana when I was a kid. Not sure if he was into them before Kurt Cobain committed suicide though. Or enough to go to concerts. He went to concerts when he was younger but never during my lifetime. There was a lot of stuff he did when he was young and then just stopped when he had kids. He did listen to music lots though at home.Or you know, you were 3 years old. And your parents took you to the ice capades instead. dammit. They would have preferred the Led Zeppelin show, I would of preferred the Led Zeppelin show. This could have worked out.

#led zeppelin#seriously the times my parents tried to be normal just made things worse
edit: They didn't come to the UK in 1994 though that was their last tour. So I think their last gig here might have been Reading festival 1992? I had a fictional character who was from Ireland that I imagined being 16 and running off to live with their cousin one summer who was a university student and going to that festival + concert lol.
So I could have theoretically gone to that concert but I would have been about 1 1/2 years old.
Oh my God I love how there's a documentary just about this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_N...ame_to_Britain
When Nirvana Came to Britain is a 2021 documentary about American rock band Nirvana's time in the United Kingdom from their first tour there in 1989 up to their headline performance at the Reading Festival in 1992 and their cancelled UK tour of 1994. It was produced by Wise Owl Films and first aired on BBC Two on 18 September 2021. It was produced to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's Nevermind album, which was released in September 1991.[1]Oh BBC Two? This is such an egotistical British thing to do hahaha. I cannot see any other country doing this.Accounts of the band's time in the UK are given by the British Radio DJ's Jo Whiley and Steve Lamacq,[6] and the Biffy Clyro singer Simon Neil.[5] The documentary also showcases the band's performances on the UK TV shows Top of the Pops and The Word.[3] The documentary explores how Nirvana band leader Kurt Cobain's main musical influences were the English bands Led Zeppelin and the Beatles, but also the lesser known Scottish indie-rock band the Vaselines whose songs Nirvana covered,[7] and the British band the Raincoats.[6]
But yeah I forgot about Biffy Clyro. Their puzzle album was good. That was back when I actually bought CD's lol. It's heavy though it's mostly about the death of Simon Neil's mum.
Think this is probably my favourite track from that album:
literally every rush tour
#how do i survive with no more rush tours??I'm trying not to think about that lol. I only just got into them. They obviously would have been a great band to see live. It's not even just that I won't get to see Rush live though that's the really sad part. I'm actually more sad that I'll never get to see Porcupine Tree again. There just aren't really any new great rock bands that I would be excited about seeing live and a lack of bands in that genre in general. and I like that genre a lot - especially live.#GOD how do i survive knowing i will never go to a rush concert?????#I LOVE YOU RUSH
I removed my post before but.. It's really disturbing to go onto pretty much any video about anti LGBT backlash including from Eastern Europe and other areas of the world. Even content uploaded by left wing news sources and see 99% of the comments be people saying 'we want Western Europe/The US to be this intolerant' etc. Stuff like this:
We need this to happen in the U.S. it's gotten so out of hand hereI wish it would happen everywhere all around the world, nonstop, until "they" finally got the point and quit their disgusting bs.I can't find the comment now but yesterday I saw one which was like 'I thought this was Georgia US at first but then realised people here would never be this strong' (paraphrasing but that's more or less the gist.) Unfortunately there's still violence etc at protests in the US too. But you don't have the same numbers on your side. From Spain I salute you! Georgians
Not the comment I remember but others:
Respect to Georgia from Georgia, USA.I always say this but you don't have to make masculinity less attractive. My sexuality is already literally the line between gynephilia and androphilia lol.I am from Atlanta Georgia myself and I completely agree with you and the real men in this comment section. 💪🏾
Edit: Also thinking about it if he's using a black emoji because he's black he should probably know that 23% of black women are identifying as bisexual now. A significant racial disparity:
https://theconversation.com/23-of-yo...isexual-116116
Add race to the figures and you'll see that young black women, in particular, account for a disproportionate share of this shift.
A few years ago, we wrote about how approximately 18% of young black women identified as lesbian or bisexual in the 2016 General Social Survey sample. That rate was more than two times higher than for white women or other racial groups - and almost four times higher than for men of any racial group.
By 2018, more than 25% of young black women identified as lesbian or bisexual. And the majority of that change can be accounted for by bisexual-identifying black women. No one can know for sure why that's happening at an increased rate but it's probably a social thing and it's obviously not just that a lot of black men are in prison/absent in general. If a lot of women feel like this:We're less convinced by the shortage of men argument because it ignores the fact that incarceration rates of black men haven't increased over the past decade. Yet over this period of time, the percentages of young black women identifying as bisexual have grown substantially.
Then that might explain that somewhat. As women have become more socially liberal over time (there's an increasing gender gap politically in some Western countries,) they're not going to want to date guys like that.As a black transgender woman I personally do have a lot of hesitation with following a lot of black centred social media pages. Because I do find myself running into stuff like this quite frequently. I'm not gonna say that black people are more transphobic than white people but what I will say is that as a black transgender woman the opinions and feelings of black people do actually cut a little deeper than the opinions and feelings of white people.
A lot of black people are very socially conservative so it's very common for very afrocentric pages to sort of veer off into transphobia pretty quickly.
It's to the point where it's become a really easy way to get attention on social media actually just being a straight cisgender guy and talking about how supportive you are of LGBT+ people (bonus points if you're reasonably-very masculine.) it's... Quite sad lol. That it works because most people see the opposite. It's like a reversal of conservatives who are obsessed with self flagellating black and LGBT+ people.
On top of that dating sites have become more popular. On dating sites black women prefer black men to men of other races in terms of the messages they respond to, and most men message black women the least (regardless of race.) [BEEP] women have similar racial preferences as straight men on these sites so Asian women get messaged more, but it's not as bad as it is with straight men:
https://gwern.net/doc/psychology/okc...eplyrates.html
The summary of this is not written in you could say the most professional manner lol:
Black gay men get over 20% fewer responses than non-blacks, which is about how straight black men fared. Black women, on the other hand, do relatively much better with gays than straights. While they're still the least replied-to group, the discrepancy is much smaller in the lesbian community.Asian lesbians are in demand, and they're picky about other races. Gay Asian females are replied to the most, and, among the well-represented groups, they have the most defined racial preferences: they respond very well to other Asians, Whites, Native Americans, and Middle Easterners, but very poorly to the other groups. Latin women also express a clear preference, for Whites and Asians.^ Interesting because most dating site statistics don't include that group.Men prefer Middle Easterners. Gay men and straight men both respond best to Middle Easterners, and the preference is quite dramatic. I'd be interested to hear any theories why this is so.
Not really they're both white and like men. I feel like cis gay guys are into more masculine guys than cis women are but that's prob just being in certain bubbles. As we did last week, we can see that all groups think, theoretically, that interracial relationships are acceptable, yet again whites are the least willing to have such a relationship themselves. This time it's the men, not the women, who prefer most to keep to their own: it's interesting that both in reply patterns and in their answers to these two match questions, the behavior of white straight women and white gay men are so closely parallel.
On the one hand it's like lol well I'm not gay (dunno how they're using the term if for homosexual or not I assume not,) but I am [BEEP] and notoriously picky but also that's what I meant about how it's written 'they just dis everyone' hahaha. Doja Cat is attractive but she's too crazy. Just yelling at people on social media etc. I mean I agree with her about the insane parasocial thing and stans are also absolutely insane but still. So harsh. Social Media again you see what I mean. Both white lesbians and white gay men write the fewest replies. In fact, across the two charts, whites respond about 15% less often than non-whites, and white gay men show a marked preference for other whites. On the other hand, gay white women don't have the segregationist tendencies of their straight counterparts; they just dis everyone. Whereas last week we saw that straight white women strongly preferred other whites to the exclusion of other groups, lesbian whites respond to all 9 racial groups roughly evenly, and, in general, the lesbian community seems relatively colorblind. Only Indian lesbians receive a response rate far off the average, and as I said above, the sample size there is limited and the results might be skewed by chance.
Honestly even a bit with short hair. And I think I've made my weird long hair preference (especially for guys,) quite clear at this point.
Doja you're one of the few people who can have short hair and still look kinda attractive to me. I think she should chill. And leave twitter (yeah hypocritical but at the same time I'm not really using twitter now.)Lookin' good, but now my bald head match my-
Lookin' good, but now they all sayin' that I'm ugly
Boo-hoo, my nigga, I ain't sad you won't [BEEP] me
I'm sad that you really thought your [BEEP] was above me
Talk your [BEEP] about me, I can easily disprove it, it's stupid
You follow me, but you don't really care about the music
This was good and I prefer it to the studio recording and I want to say she should make a rock album but not sure she actually has vocals suited for it. Some pop and R&B singers do like Fergie she's very suited to rock and metal (I always thought that,) but never did any except that one track with Slash:
Also this remix which technically doesn't count because someone else on YouTube made it without her involvement:
That being said as someone who also doesn't have an ideal 'rock music voice' I think everyone should make rock and metal music anyway because rock and metal music is great.
Also if Halsey can sort of do it I believe in you boo.
See this is to get people to attend live events. Clever:
(It doesn't look she's playing the guitar. She can play guitar though. She might be playing during the beginning and then it's a wireless guitar but then other musicians who are also on stage mostly drown out whatever she's doing. Either way I still prefer this version though.)
This post has gone to a weird place. This wasn't the point. (Well music and gender/sexuality [BEEP] is always the point obviously but the other stuff.)
But yeah I just find the topic of sexuality fascinating in general.
Anyway lol.......... Back to the homophobic people commenting on videos:
This is cute because one thing that bothers a lot of these guys is the various -phobia labels because they'd hate anyone to think they're scared of anything but they are scared of one thing in particular and more on that in a minute. (It starts in early childhood.)That doesn't look like fear to me. If it weren't for the cops they'd be calling hundreds of coroner gut-wagons. Some cultures have memories that go many many many generations. The Georgians have a saying: "A bad tree must be burned to the roots". Maybe you should consider being a decent member of society rather than the problem? Patience eventually wears out and what then?
Oh we have a saying too.
I mean personally I prefer "force feminise unintelligent aggressive homophobic men because it's their greatest fear."
But that's more of 'my own personal thing.'
Oh you don't fear death? Good. (That's Nurgle's domain and that [BEEP] stole Isha from me. Yeah I'm just role playing as Slaanesh now lmfao. That's a thing I do now I guess.) This is going to be a lot more fun. After all:
Slaanesh takes delight in suffering and pain,Khorne's foremost rival is Slaanesh, the two gods' powers coming from two diametrically opposed concepts. Khorne demands self-sacrifice and bloodshed for its own sake, whereas Slaanesh embodies self-indulgence, and bloodshed is merely one of a multitude of ways of exploring new experiences. Slaanesh seeks to draw followers in, ingratiating them slowly as their taste for pleasure or pain becomes harder and harder to satiate, requiring more and more in order to feel anything at all. The Blood God has no time for pleasure or eroticism; for him all feelings are wasted except rage, hate and vengeance. [4a]
However, it must be noted that Khorne's followers do not act in order to cause pain because pain, as a counterpart of pleasure, is the domain of Slaanesh. [4a] Instead, while the followers of Khorne may express Khorne's rage, they wish only to kill so that the blood and skulls of their victims strengthen Khorne. The fact that the suffering and excess of this conflict also strengthens Slaanesh has been reported as further reason for conflict between Khorne and Slaanesh.I'm really sad Contrapoints and The Golden One deleted their videos responding to each other where he calls her a demoness of Slaanesh or something? Can't remember something like that. Afaik they both deleted all their videos. I know Contrapoints deleted her old videos because it was before she came out, but he did as well I think. That was such a hilarious era of YouTube tbh.Tzeentch plays tricks upon Khorne for his own amusement, which the Blood God responds to in the only way he knows how: violence. The Changer of Ways is also the greatest source of magic amongst the powers of Chaos and Khorne does not look kindly upon this truth. [4a]
And since everyone is playing that game (with a few tweaks here and there,) it's better when people are self aware. It's something like openness + queerness + novelty seeking (which is also part of openness,) + aesthetic sensitivity (also part of openness,) creativity + sadism VS order + low openness + intolerance + conscientiousness + tradition + fear + death of enemies. You could also map it onto something like Sheogorath and Jyggalag. This is probably better because both archetypes belong to the same daedric prince and most people aren't extreme. You see both sadism and desire for conversion of others on both sides because those features aren't as polarised as say contentiousness vs aesthetic sensitivity.
At least I don't think most of them are ever having fun... But I suppose they are kind of losing over here.
Lol exactly.Bro is trying to explain why being homophobic is okay because of a saying.....
"Well I'm against it but they decide by letting themselves"
That's pretty funny. Sadly things don't work like that most of the time.
"What's the difference between pedophiles and homosexuals?"
Well one group doesn't want to [BEEP] kids. So you could start there.
Many of these people are answering in English (not native language,) and so their answers occasionally don't make sense. They should have just spoken in Georgian and then had it translated. Like he asks them what they'd think about their kids being LGBT and one person's answer was:
'I wouldn't like it because I'm a very romantic person.'
What does that mean?
Then there's the guy who's like 'there's a difference between gay and LGBT. I know gays who are ashamed of it and they see it as a problem and are trying to fight it such people are acceptable but LGBT are saying it's normal.'
Actually I don't think it's normal. I think it's OK to not be normal.
Lol that one guy who's like 'let them have an island for themselves' based actually. There was one but not for trans or bisexual people really and I don't think anyone actually moved there:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_an...al_Sea_Islands
:')Other than the protester inhabitants, the islands of the Coral Sea Islands Territory were uninhabited and the kingdom's independence was not recognised by Australia or any world government. The Coral Sea Islands continued to be recognised as an external overseas Territory of Australia by the United Nations.[7][8][9] On 13 September 2004, the Gay Kingdom declared war on Australia.[10]
In May 2010, Dale Anderson was invited to (but did not attend) a conference in Sydney for the leaders of all the micronations in the world, in order to determine ways to obtain recognition as sovereign countries. The Gay Government announced that the Emperor would not be attending the conference on the grounds that the Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands being a former overseas external Territory of Australia was not a micronation.[1]
On 28 February 2017, Liberal Senator Eric Abetz objected to the rainbow flag being displayed in the Department of Finance[11][12] on the grounds that government departments should take a neutral stand on political debates. He concluded his comments with an incidental observation by identifying:
"...[T]his particular flag is the flag of the Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands, which has declared war on Australia. Senator Cormann, you would understand they did the same as Prince Leonard of the Principality of Hutt River and this is now their official flag. It is the flag of a hostile nation, if we are to believe them, having declared war on Australia..."[13]
Cormann agreed, affirming that "We will make sure that there are no flags of hostile nations anywhere in any government building".
That's why these respectability politic lesbian and gay people amuse me. Say what you want about trans and non-binary people but we haven't declared war on Australia yet.
Yet. I'm declaring war on Sky News Australia.
Also that Putin comment at the end of the video lol (asking if they'd press a red button to get rid of LGBT people and he says he'd press one to get rid of Putin,) all the Russians on YouTube have been moving to Georgia now to get out of Russia because there aren't many places they can move to easily.
^ this video is actually 8 years old but gets lots of new comments too.
Especially when they're from my country I'm like [BEEP] off to Turkey then you prick. As a British, huge respect for Turkish police. We need them in all Western countries to stop the nonsense that is going on here
Not really honestly. If you [BEEP] with me I'll [BEEP] with you but I don't care about kids being straight etc you're the ones that seem obsessed with repressing kids sexuality etc. That's why I'm weirded out by the trend of video content people are uploading (after stumbling on one video like this I was suggested a bunch) of dads being overprotective of their daughters. Like they say they have a imaginary boyfriend or something and their dad is like 'does he want to die?' 'You can't have a boyfriend' etc I can't imagine that leads to healthy development. Then you wonder why so many people don't want to have sex or have kids.We know too well what these people are about, their tactics, their thoughts, they've become crying tyrants that will get you the moment you feel sorry for them. Throw them in jail and hide the key.
I bet a lot of women who are very defensive of 'weak' and/or feminine men had some kind of early childhood experience where their dad was overprotective or something and/or threatened guys like that. They might not even remember if they were really young. This is a hypothesis I came up with a few days ago when watching this video but I honestly wouldn't be surprised lol:
If he's imaginary or young he can't realistically fight back. That's distressing.
He's basically making himself into a threat. Lol look at how she points at him like >:[ I mean it's 'funny' at the time 'look at the cute toddler doing a thing' but then it can have long term effects. Like when I was reading about Mari Mori one of the early yaoi writers:
https://www.academia.edu/3673534/A_J..._Queer_Progeny
Oh well it's not my fight you're only fucking up your own heterosexual kids. As reddit would say 'are the straights OK?'Mori Mari wrote that she always felt that her father was too good for this earth. There was something in his goodness that made him vulnerable, and she felt it her duty to protect him. In 1960 she wrote, "Once a nightmare disturbed me and woke me in a cold sweat; it was about some men approaching my father working at his desk and attacking him from behind."⁴⁴ Any reader of Mori Ogai (including most likely Mari herself) would be reminded by her dream of a passage in his 1909 novel Vita Sexualis. The protagonist of this ironically autobiographical novel (a text that is so sex-phobic that one of my students once called it Vita Asexualis) is terrified of homosexuals and takes a dagger with him to bed in his boarding school to defend himself against the older students who he believes are out to rape him.⁴⁵ In Mori Mari's stories and the yaoi works they spawned, homosexuality may not be out and proud, but it is not nearly as scary and violent as it was in her father's novel. Mari will take the place of that dagger to defend her father against attacks from the rear, but she will do so by making him queer. In the context of modern Japanese literature, where Ogai is a towering masculine presence, this is no mean feat.
I noticed yesterday (the comment trend on homophobic videos,) because I was looking for a bunch after someone left a really ignorant comment about that trans guy who was killed in Germany while defending a couple of women from homophobic harassment at a pride event. They said:
As though the guy who killed him even asked/cared that he was trans? It really shows a complete detachment from what happens in some places at these events and in general. Assuming he was on hrt and the women weren't he was physically stronger than the women being harassed by the homophobe and trans guys have won fights against cis men before. Also this lol:Friendly reminder that the denial of strength differences between men and women who claim to be "men" leads to women who say they're "transmen" being harmed and even killed like it happened in Germany with Malte
terfs are literally so fucking funny to me, like how do you say you're a feminist and say biological females are hardwired to be permanent damsels and victims in the same breath
From the video: "It's weird that they're prioritising the comfort of the parents rather than the safety of the students."
The comments on that video have been turned off and you can imagine why.

I don't understand how computers or video games work (especially online multiplayer). It reminds me of a quote from Arthur C. Clarke: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
"When I know that I am nothing, that is wisdom. When I know that I am everything, that is love. Between the two my life moves." - Nisargadatta Maharaj
I just found this comment on another video and it kind of fits with this post in general:
Oh well I guess you'll have to eventually conclude that since most left wing people are women and feminine (he even brings this up in the video.) Then women and feminine people are all narcissistic and evil. At which point you'll realise you've just come full circle again with Christian lore. Even calling them a serpent. *yawn*This is an era of characteristically abuse of power, which is why it has a deranging effect. We are constantly defending against attacks by women, when we want to love, provide for and protect them.
God he's doing it again.
"The troll demons are machine-Human hybrids because when you're online you're a machine-Human hybrid. Troll demons are not Human you don't put them in with the Humans you put them in anonymous troll demon hell and if you want to go there and visit and see what they're up to no problem."
It's like Nyx Land who wrote the manifesto I brought up again yesterday. Except Jordan Peterson isn't a force feminised avatar of Nick Land and so isn't as fuckable.
Why are you taking a trans woman's crazy power fantasy text from 2018 that turned your own fears against you deadly seriously? Why are you 5 years behind again?
JP's version doesn't even have lesbian sex I consider it a massive downgrade for that reason alone. I mean there were the demon-women hybrid Only Fans/sexworkers in that other video of his I suppose but even then. This just falls into the problem of modern cinema 'Everyone Is Beautiful and No One Is Horny'
Oh yes the sex workers aren't really anonymous since it's necessary for them to post photos and videos of themselves (unless it's audioporn or they cover their face I suppose,) but he doesn't like any sexwork so they're machine-human hybrids again.
Meanwhile regardless of political beliefs I don't think there are any anonymous accounts with quite the reach/fame he has. They'd be doxxed before getting to that point I think.
Jordan Peterson after listening to one Grimes' track (which is ironic because he has a huge [BEEP] for her ex)
I like making friends with demons You need special eyes to see 'em Have you got your Shinigami eyes on?
Rent-free in your head
Missing from your bed
I know your secrets, everything, oh
Jordan Peterson: "Oh my God the witches [see: neurodivergent/queer women] are going to kill us!"Here we meet "NO ONE" a powerful A.I. super intelligence who had decided to invade pop culture with an AI girl group who can bend the very fabric of space and time. Like Ryuk (a shinigami from Death Note,) the A.I NO ONE enters the human world to have fun and detabilize things. [...] Here we see Cupid played by Ryan01. One of the main plot points in the music video is that Cupid tries to shoot the girls with his arrow of love, but because they are not human and don't experience traditional love, his attempts fail and in the end they kill him
'You bloody postmodern neo-marxist postboxes'
is one of the funniest lines written in the 2010s.
We never should have let the boomers come online. Exceptions apply but they've not adapted well. The internet was always anonymous and it didn't become a problem until:
1. social media took off
2. people born before 1970ish started using it more and more.
No I'm not seriously suggesting we actually ban people born before 1970 from the internet lol. How will I watch Steven Wilson videos now and then and eventually when I cba get around to it listen to this podcast:
https://www.youtube.com/@thealbumyears8574
Though it looks like it hasn't been updated in 3 years RIP. Was probably mostly a 'something to do during pandemic' thing. Also he was born in 1967:
The year of "Sgt. Pepper"
And "Are You Experienced"
and he's very gen x so that barely counts.
Also this guy who I think was born before then (even if he does think that gen z don't care about music because of video games haha):
and some other people.
Shirley Curry etc.
Just please try not to be so insane in this particular way.
Also gen X and millennials are crazy and make up the bulk of conspiracy theorists but it's more this kind of 'We must restructure the very fabric and indeed purpose of the internet to turn the internet into reality' that just shows that he didn't get online until like 2012 and has never used it for anything but political discourse since then.
Strong 'boomer dad who joined Facebook when all the millennials were leaving because they didn't want to accept their parents friend requests and then he fell down a black hole' energy.
I can't help but feel that one day he'll stumble on a vaporwave video from the early-mid 2010s and his brain will explode.
I guess I just-
I guess I just-
I guess I just wasn't made for these times
I guess I just wasn't made for these times
'Why doesn't that image have eyes.'
'What is this?' He'll stumble to the ground like drunk Leslie from Parks and Rec when she finds that doll:
Actually do you know what I think it is? Gen X invented post-irony.
David Foster Wallace was born in 1962
popularised it then. Man why is Peterson so old that he makes people born in the same year as him seem like they're a peer of Kurt Cobain. He was born in 1962 but he's at least 20 years older than George Carlin.
"David Foster Wallace killed himself so his creations/philosophy etc were probably bad"
My brother made this point once about Mark Fisher. (btw I haven't read any of David Foster Wallace's work because I'm a millennial. Maybe when someone re-writes them as AM/Ted erotic fanfiction.)
Yeah but I didn't kill myself so until I kill myself all my ideas are clearly fine. (that's sarcasm/a joke lest Jordan Peterson somehow stumble on this post one day but I should be safe as this isn't twitter.) True I don't have xy chromosomes (well we can assume I'm not familiar with every potential intersex condition I might not know I have, but xx seems like a safe bet) but 1/1 discord users believe in my ability to commit suicide (when ranking who was most likely to kill themselves first in the server):
That was sweet of him but jokes on him though because I can't commit to anything. Oh yeah he was sure I was schizoid and the other person was diagnosed BPD so that's why he brought those up.Important note re. [someone's username]: suicidal women don't kill themselves
(I guess this also applies to [my username], but 1. I don't scan [my username] nearly as strongly as a girl and 2. schizoid =/= borderline)
I'm not a morally great person but I don't think I'm worse than Andrew Tate honestly. Who is not anonymous at all. (I don't think it's a coincidence that we're from the same hometown I think when you grow up in places like this you don't come out of it great one way or the other. It's like Gotham.)
At least I've never said Jordan Peterson isn't Human lol.
edit:
I want to know more about his parents. Especially his mum. I can't recall him ever speaking about them in anything I've listened to/watched. Only this dream about his grandma:
He doesn't know how to communicate with aggressive/dominant people without the use of violence though. He's made that clear in the past. He was mostly talking about women because he argued you can't fight women physically because of the gender rules, but of course you also can't fight men if they're online, so the same point stands."I dreamed I saw my maternal grandmother sitting by the bank of a swimming pool, that was also a river. In real life, she had been a victim of Alzheimer’s disease, and had regressed, before her death, to a semi-conscious state. In the dream, as well, she had lost her capacity for self-control. Her genital region was exposed, dimly; it had the appearance of a thick mat of hair. She was stroking herself, absent-mindedly. She walked over to me, with a handful of pubic hair, compacted into something resembling a large artist’s paint-brush. She pushed this at my face. I raised my arm, several times, to deflect her hand; finally, unwilling to hurt her, or interfere with her any farther, I let her have her way. She stroked my face with the brush, gently, and said, like a child, "isn’t it soft?" I looked at her ruined face and said, "yes, Grandma, it’s soft."
I wonder about his parents and their relationship because I have the sense that he feels constantly overwhelmed/overpowered by some kind of feminine force. Though it would make sense I guess if he spends considerable time scrolling through feminist or progressive spaces online.
At one point he said:
"There's nothing more dangerous than a weak man."
I don't view him as strong though. So is he also talking about himself? Because I doubt it.
The people commenting on some of these videos will say things like this (not linking the video these comments are from because I didn't like the editing/framing. It was just designed basically to whine about Meghan Markle lol using clips of Camille Paglia and Jordan Peterson talking. And I don't pay attention Meghan Markle because I go out of my way to avoid discussion about the British royal family so I can't weigh in too much but I get the feeling that at least some of the animosity towards her is because she's seen as more dominant than her husband):
Look just say you don't like women at that point. It's not possible for every woman to have a personality disorder that defeats the purpose. If every woman has a 'personality disorder' than it's a sex difference you dislike, not a disorder.Lets be honest. There is a massive personality disorder y almost every woman in 2022
^ there's always this weird conspiracy thing with high status people being trans...She was placed in the royal family for a reason maybe soon we will find or transgender who knows.
If we could punch women things would change. In todays society we indeed cant, and that is also why its a modern problem so to say for in times past they got burned drowned or otherwise put down for their crazy call it witch wurning or whatever but there are ways you can deal with it.
I am not saying it is the best way nor my preffered way of dealing with such creatures but I am convinced that if it is not stopped and keeps going the way it is nowadays, the world is in for a recconing of never seen before madness.
I mean we are already fueling narcisim with all the genders and special people we are catering to, wich starts at entitlement and ends up with nobody able to speak for fear of the thought police or whatever legislation put into play by control freaks! So another issue that's common these days is he doesn't tend to make it obvious who/what he's fighting against. He's fairly vague. People will use his clips in edited videos so I guess I am going to link this one so you can see the point (because this is one of the more brazen examples):Enter the Muslim. Problem solved.
Literally just clickbait lol. I do think he has an obvious issue with trans people though.Interesting, but what did this have to do with the "rise of masculine women"?
Someone commenting on another of his videos said something like 'women and men need each other because men tell women to think more rationally and women tell men to think more emotionally.'
And I just thought I'm a non-binary person telling Jordan Peterson to chill.
He's a trainwreck I can't look away from lol honestly. Honestly I don't know if this clip below is fake because we're reaching the simultaneous point where it's like 'is this AI? Because what is happening? And also AI has reached a point where it could be.' And if it's not it's like. Oh no he actually is more mentally unwell than me now so I guess I should ignore him now because it's punching down. Although he does have way more of a platform than me and people take him far more seriously.
Either way wtf is happening?
No idea who he's speaking to (again.) But no I'm good. The UK is bad enough lol.As someone who’s never been to Albania, this convinced me.
* sobbing * I’m sorry Dr. Peterson, I promise I’m not a communist, PLEASE DON’T MAKE ME GO TO ALBANIA!!I see a lot of people bringing up his drug issues but honestly it doesn't have to be drug related social media does the same thing to people. I also see a lot of people claim his daughter is somehow controlling him/making him crazy but I don't know enough about his daughter to say anything about that.I'm not a fan of Jordan Peterson tbh but it’s worrying seeing his deterioration. Definitely not the same man he once was
Also specifically because he was on benzos and everyone continuously brings them up I just remember this discord conversation in 2018 with someone who was like DO NOT DO BENZOS. Over and over.
me
Then someone else asked what SA meant and the person I was talking to told them it was social anxiety lol. I kind of forgot at that time not everyone may know what that means due to posting a lot on social anxiety forums. This discord server was full of people with mental health issues but not that specifically. But that person knew though.2nd person

I can tell that Albania clip is from a while ago though because of the suit but it's new to me. Someone said he was a bit less 'that' in recent videos but I don't know how recent some of the videos I've seen have been. I don't think the lobster suit video is that old. There was something else I saw recently but I can't remember the video title now where he was talking about how irl if he disconnects from social media things don't 'seem that bad' irl etc. Oh right yeah The Telegraph interview but he still seemed a bit I dunno how to put it in that video too. Well he always seems upset and a bit angry (though it took me a long time to pick up on anger.) This was his take on him and that was years ago:
A lot of people seem to have found his stuff motivating so I won't say he isn't or wasn't, but I don't personally find him encouraging I find him quite cynical and depressing and negative. I find Alan Moore more inspiring. But in saying that some of his ways of thinking are interesting because they're quite symbolic and you know this again (the Jordan Peterson section of the video):He's much better at encouraging than scolding

What aspect of the human is God supposed to love if he loves everyone? If everyone is a sinner, does he love that sinful aspect of a person's personality? Loving a person = loving their personality. If all have fallen short and are guilty of all sin ("For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point, he is guilty of breaking all of it." -James 2:10) how can God love them? It doesn't make sense. It seems like a fake love.
edit: What I mean is that there seems to be an inconsistency.

So I started watching a review of the Barbie film by Shoeonhead but stopped watching it just in case I decide to actually watch it eventually because spoilers but before I did at one point she brought up a Barbie called Midge that was a pregnant Barbie and was apparently discontinued and want to ignore her and pretend she never existed (apparently she was brought up in the film.) So shoe is like 'don't look at her look at all the girl bosses.' I googled and found some things:
In 2013, Mattel decided to revamp Midge's history, reintroducing her as a best friend of Barbie's, but unmarried, without children and no connection to Alan.I have no idea who Alan is - either he didn't exist in the version I had or I straight up erased him from memory lmfao and that is likely - but I actually did have this doll as a child lol. She was still around then. Mostly I remember liking her hair. Which was red of course. Her baby didn't really interest me as much though and I think I removed her pregnant belly most of the time too. I preferred the little kid Barbies to that baby because they looked cuter and I had this Asian one (I think she was Asian anyway,) that came with a little raincoat and tiny plastic duck and I liked the little duck lol. I find ducks kind of funny. Yeah this one:In the 1960s, Barbie's sidekick, Midge, was released. Up until 2002, Midge was the wholesome best friend to Barbie, but something changed. Mattel introduced Pregnant Midge, who had a detachable baby bump that contained a baby inside. Many parents raised concerns over their young children playing with the pregnant Barbie, who was included in the "Happy Family" set along with Midge's husband Allan (yes, the Allan!) and their 3-year old son. Walmart ended up pulling the doll off the shelves after so many complaints from parents came in about whether the doll was appropriate. Many felt it was promoting teenage pregnancy, so Midge was no longer one of Barbie's sidekicks.
Also worth noting shoeonhead is a very feminine cis woman who talks about how she'd like to live as a tradwife in videos etc but in this video she mentions that as a kid she never really played with Barbies and played with hot wheels, dinosaurs and also had an affinity for lamps.
Well I did play with Barbies a lot as a kid, though I also liked video games and computers and climbing trees when I was a bit older (for some reason people list this as a 'tomboy thing') but in a lot of ways I was very feminine like I wanted to be a mermaid as a young kid at one point, read a book about mermaids and other feminine books, and also dressed up as Cinderella though I don't remember that being my idea tbh but I didn't seem to mind. My favourite colour was pink until I was about 7 as well. But I never really liked the idea of being pregnant or giving birth and I am non-binary. Most of the people I've admired/wanted to be like from early puberty onwards are guys.
Also as a kid I found Ken really boring as I've said before. I was kind of obsessed with Qui Gon Jinn and Beetlejuice from the Beetlejuice cartoon so weird taste in male characters.. I never emulated them though I just thought they were cool I guess. At one point I tried to turn one of my dolls into Beetlejuice. But as an adult I actually thought Ken seemed like the more interesting character in promotional material I saw for the Barbie film lol.
I think the influence stuff like that has is just kind of arbitrary depending on the individual.
I don't think I've ever been catcalled or at least I don't remember being catcalled it actually rarely happens here from what I've heard. If it was by guys I wouldn't call the police but I also wouldn't feel flattered and it has nothing to do with thinking I'm attractive either because I don't lol. In my experience especially where I grew up I wasn't seen as very attractive to most guys so if someone wanted to do something like that it would probably be to [BEEP] with me or try to intimidate me. So I think that's how I'd take it. Like ingenuine and especially if it was teenagers in a group which it probably would be I can't imagine some adult guy doing it here that would probably be their motivation like they're fucking around or something. It was very weird being at uni later and suddenly having to manage being seen as an option to lots of guys who were sometimes mentally unstable, due to a lack of women around though even then my androgyny or anxiety + social awkwardness bothered certain guys. She's so right. Ages ago in Chichester England a bunch of young women in a limousine shouted out "your fit!" And other random acts of well... In my opinion, kindness to me. They tried to get me to go with them but I couldn't because I had to go to work.
But yeah I never forgot that as it rarely happened that way yet I'm sure if I was a woman today I'd consider that sexual harassment and have called the police. Very strange that someone could be so used to assuming they're attractive they can lash out over it.
One of my most uncomfortable moments with a stranger was that woman I spoke about before on a train:
I was also once approached by a drunk guy during the day and that was uncomfortable. I was just trying to walk past him to get to uni and he was annoyed that I wasn't paying attention to him. So yeah drunk people basically (when it comes to strangers alcohol was involved, not with people I've known personally.)On the train today I ended up sitting next to this woman who had been drinking a bit, but not too drunk. It was 12:30-1:00pm. She spoke a few times, talking about stuff like animals she wanted to see outside the window. It was obvious she took that journey quite often. I think she was having a bad day. Then a bit later ended up spilling her drink on herself. She also started touching my arm at one point not long after that while talking to me and was like 'sorry I keep touching you is this alright?' (no... Not exactly, but I guess I'll just ignore that to avoid awkwardness since I'm leaving the train soon) then started complaining about how people are 'so weird about that these days.' 'Technology has made everyone unable to connect.'
Then she started talking about how the name of the place we were getting off at used to be called something else and then started off on a rant about how men there killed women (I have no idea what historically specifically she was referring to as it seemed to be a specific thing,) and finished with 'men are *******s.'
Pretty sure she assumed I was a teenager and pointed out that I was small at one point. It was probably for the best that she thought that because she clearly thought my very noticeable anxiety was less weird as a result. Initially I was surprised enough I guess that I started breathing weirdly and then started panicking about my breathing so that took about ten minutes to get under control. As we were getting off at the stop she turned to someone behind her and joked that I chucked a drink at her which she also said before is what she'd tell her (25 year old) daughter who she was meeting. And who was apparently big and could beat me up. She was joking though.
Anyway that was the most awkward thing I've experienced on public transport here.
There was also an incident I witnessed happening to someone else on a train that was awkward:
Hmm.So I was on the train, and it was really packed right so I was sat on the floor because I couldn't be bothered with standing up the whole way back. Behind me there were two people but I didn't get a look at them because I was facing the other way.
There was this guy and a woman(?) and they were having a pretty loud conversation. She was from Poland and talking about a bunch of stuff like how she'd moved and how she had depression. She got a call from a female friend at this point briefly. Then after he invited her to get a drink when they reached the stop (they were getting off at the same place.) She turned him down saying she had to meet her friend. At this point you'd think he'd maybe ask for her number, and let it go but lol oh no.
He continued to nag them about getting a drink saying things like 'you're hard work' and **** like that. And they were like 'I'm pretty antisocial' and 'you don't know me I'm OK today because I've taken my medication' literally talking about mental illness but the guy persisted. At one point he called them a lady and they were like 'I'm not a lady where I come from ladies have money' then a bit more talking and then 'I'm not really a woman, I have bigger balls than most guys'
Humans are weird. And I have a very difficult time knowing how I come across to people irl due to the weird and diverse range of comments I've gotten over the years when people say anything at all. Mostly form people I've known a while complete strangers rarely comment.
One time I was wearing a tanktop and a cap and I got approached twice on the same night - once in my town and once in London by people asking for cigarettes. It was the only time in my life I'd been asked that. I guess that outfit/time just gave people 'smokes cigarette vibes' usually people think I'm underaged so it was just a weird moment in general. Maybe I was less anxious though. I had left a concert recently. Also some guy complimented my hat lol. That was nice I guess because he obviously meant it. That was near the concert venue so he probably noticed it had the band name on too.
edit:
"So the things I do for my audience. My producers dragged me to see 'barbie'"
They appear to be on the right track.i'm so happy he's spent this much time thinking about barbie 🥰
'My producers are less political than me'
Oh?
And he's so grumpy.
Can't watch this though because I'm half committed to vaguely avoiding spoilers.
Well it's often somewhat subjective and personally I've often identified with various villains. The movie is bad for every one of the same reasons all movies where those who are right are depicted as jerks are bad. The villain is the hero and the hero is the villain, and the movie's deliberate refusal to recognize that makes it one of the worst movies ever and its enablers bigots.
Oh sure he could do something better but I think he should spend more time getting 'dragged to films by his producers.' Unfortunately after googling I can't find anything as perfect as the new Barbie film though. So this will have to do for now.Ben, you've attracted a lot of jovial criticism for your low-by-blow review. I hope you realize how this does you much credit. These folks are intelligent fans who want more from you because they think you can do better, as I once did.
You weren't the one this video was created for.Big supporter of you but I just brought my kids (they really wanted to see it) and they loved it. It's not that bad!!
Oh I really don't care about his view on the movie one way or the other. I'm only here because he was forced to watch the Barbie film and spent 43 minutes reviewing it. But, I don't think this is going to work unfortunately. For all the people wanting to troll and sass Ben for attacking this awful lot of propaganda disguised as a movie: you do understand that mocking someone for telling the truth doesn't make what said person says be any less true, right?
Did he not get to that? Maybe you guys were the one this video was for after all.I honestly was just curious to see a couple minutes of this, I had NO intention of watching all 43 minutes, and then when he said he'd be reviewing Oppenheimer I was curious and literally kept watching the whole thing in order to hear his review of Oppenheimer.
Imagine my disappointment.
Thank you.No I have to go against you on this one Ben. Im a big fan of you and full red piller Andrew tate fan and I had an amazing time watching the movie.
It was a great movie that is well made, the comedy and plot are well written and entertaining. I loved the whole thing of ken bringing back the patriarchy Barbie land and I loved the hilarious fight scene between the Kens.
This movie feels like it was made for andrew tate fans as much as it was for hyper feminist moms
Also, this might have been unintentional but I saw at least 4 andrew tate references in the movie

I got x-rays on my back today. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in 2018. I'm curious to see if it's progressed since then (it feels like it).

I know... Again. (I don't know if there's a limit at this point. Hopefully a year from now I'll have moved on again. From Jordan Peterson I mean not this topic in general that seems unlikely at this point.) But it's just so annoying to me and that nobody is challenging his opinions. It feels like having 0 voice. It's so annoying when nobody is saying the things you want to say and your viewpoints are unrepresented in the mainstream. Though I recognise it would probably be pointless. I mean it's not like if he was informed about various things he'd change his mind because he's a Christian who believes in the Christian idea that the body shouldn't be altered because it's holy or some shit. Even so.
I have a sneaking suspicion by the way that the genetic configuration that leads to male homosexuality is integrally tied up with creativity itself and that's why it sustains itself in the gene pool.Well it seems Jordan Peterson has discovered the "female gaze" perhaps he could talk to Andrew Tate about that. Unfortunately he's still no more informed on trans people or trans kids and neither is the guy he's talking to.Another possibility too is that if you happen to get the balance between masculine and feminine qualities exactly right as a man you are hyper attractive to women
1. homosexual kids are not trans kids and nobody is being forced into medically transitioning. Therapy is involved and in most places genital surgery isn't possible till 18 even top surgery is rarely before 18 maybe 16 in rare cases. Especially in the UK it's really hard to get access to treatment. (Any treatment for various things honestly but for this specifically as well.)
2. trans kids have been transitioning for decades
3. trans kids who come out in childhood are the group who are almost always samesex attracted but the number of trans kids who have been transitioning has not significantly increased as you well know.
4. The group that has increased is adolescent 'late onset' genetic female trans people who are rarely exclusively samesex attracted and are usually bisexual.
5. Most genetic females are bisexual to some degree. Depending on study and what's being measured it could be anywhere from 70% to essentially everyone who isn't exclusively gynephilic. Which probably explains the apparent widespread interest in androgynous (he hates that word it seems lol he avoided using it in another interview so I will,) guys also androgynous women and - also makes your entire argument of 'it's erasing homosexuality' quite a bit more complicated in the female case given most transitioners are bisexual and the lines between different forms of female bisexuality can be created but it's a lot less defined. Kinsey 1-2 bisexual women have a higher rate of dark tetrad traits which is a topic he seems to be super into right now so I'm sure he'd love that. Then he can conclude kinsey 1-2 bisexual women are Satan or some shit. It's higher than the female average but not higher than the male average and they also have a less restricted sociosexual orientation though this doesn't apply to kinsey 3 bisexual women afaik or 4-5. (Or well various subgroups differ from various subgroups.) So that's awkward for you and your perfect neat binary categories.
6. All these gay friends Peterson mentions having are cis gay men and I'd bet masculine gay men too. Not surprising.
7. He says about homosexuality "It has to be associated with something stellar otherwise it would disappear" Well no, homosexuality isn't very genetic (it's a bit genetic but as Scott Alexander amusingly pointed out not as genetic as opinions about homosexuality,) and a lot of research suggests hormonal variation in the womb contributes to homosexuality. [BEEP] people are less focussed on reproduction generally speaking, and have a lot of personal [BEEP] to work through which leads to introspection and isolation which can push people to be more creative to cope with that and try and find solutions. A lot of [BEEP] creative people end up exploring sexuality and gender themes in their work at some point too like Virginia Woolf, Rachilde, Patrick Wolf (also inspired by Virginia Woolf lol,) Radclyffe Hall, Oscar Wilde, Shakespeare, Sappho. (I mean it makes more sense with poets and lyricists though obviously.) Also a lot of gay, bisexual etc philosophers. But then Dali's sexuality was best described as complicated and mostly paraphilic and his sexuality was also a big part of his work. Probably just any atypical trait can end up being something someone fixates on then ends up creating work about it if they're generally creative. Also straight people seem to explore related themes now and again.
I married the first girl who wasn't a man
And smiled as the spiders ran all over my hands
And he basically never touches on this topic at all. Even general sex/romance songs are uncommon for him. I still found a way to insert a Porcupine Tree song =D I also really like the juxtaposition of those lines with the creepy horror surreal vibe and smiling at the spiders. Prog explores these themes the least though lyrically I think in particular the lack of romance lyrics (ironic since I like prog rock haha and the lyrical themes can also be really cool.)
Also lol:
This was one of the songs that first hooked me about a decade ago.8. He also suggests that male homosexuality is associated with creativity due to the overrepresentation. Maybe - in a lot of cultures third + fourth etc gender people are associated with creativity and spirituality note that's not homosexuality because homosexuality is a Western construct designed to lump a bunch of different sexual phenomenon together. Also seems like a lot of creative people are bisexual and/or slightly more sexually fluid though. I'm pointing this out since he definitely wants to create a weird binary and ignore also the importance of neurological/psychological gender.Same, one of the first songs I heard. I remember listening to it when really high, and it gave me the most horrifying hallucinations. I still get triggered by it occasionally.
10. It's a bit ridiculous to suggest that no activist or 'woke' person is good at art there are definitely people with opinions he'd describe as woke who create amazing paintings etc lol. Especially as you consider all trans people to be woke and part of 'gender ideology'
Ethel Cain is just drowning you out lol.
If anything people are painting impressive things all the time now (this is especially true with digital art and painting which is why I bring that up,) but it just kind of gets lost online in the sea of more art work than has ever been created at any point in Human history. It's not so impressive if tons of people are doing similar things either even if it's like highly skilled. But maybe then you can argue it ceases to be art because it's not creating something novel. But then if I mod a video game to do something nobody has done before (and I did lol a few times,) that's still not art so that definition doesn't really work. Also most artists throughout history weren't famous while they were alive and their work was ignored because it wasn't relevant during their lifetime.
Another thing is even if social justice is popular in say Hollywood Hollywood is so old now that interesting art was unlikely to come from it at this point. A lot of interesting art doesn't exactly come from mainstream sources and things like cathedrals (which people like Jordan Peterson like to bring up,) require the work of tons of people working over very long periods of time. So that kind of thing can't exactly pop up over night and isn't the focus today. Everything is constantly changing so people focus on the present over the future. Hell they can't even envision the future right now hence hauntology and capitalist realism (although the nostalgia thing is also obviously because of increasing loneliness and atomisation.) People are constantly stuck in one apocalypse or another. And not just 'woke people (tm)' traditionalists and right wingers are obsessed with the idea of fertility collapse, gender ideology destroying Western civilisation, AI etc.
If there's one thing he's right about in this general topic area it's that nihilism (which is the status quo,) has creative limits and can get old.
11. Lol Jordan Peterson's argument for everything is 'they're creative' male homosexuality? Creative. Genderfluid? Creative. Dissociative identity disorder? Creative. Well either that or you're an evil narcissist Human-machine hybrid demon troll or something. It's funny that he views Elliot Page as an evil narcissist but people who are Elliot Page or like me but teenagers they're innocent victims. It's very what shaun was saying in his video about Posie Parker where it's like zombie/vampire rules where you become infected and then past a point you're evil and trying to infect others.
He'll never talk to a [BEEP] female person who is well into adulthood who doesn't confirm his beliefs about trans people.
Try reading Leslie Feinberg sometime oh yes she was a working class communist so that won't really suit Andrew Doyle's purposes when he argues that activists are somehow all upper middle class and anti-socialism lol. Such a typical British transphobic mode of argument. In the US which is more capitalistic you can't get away from arguments that 'they're all Marxists'
The kids who are claiming to be animals who you hope are a parody/taking the piss out of trans people mostly aren't. A minority might be but most of them actually support trans people and hang out on tumblr etc.
Andrew Doyle's claim to fame btw is being a parody of a social justice activist on twitter so:
Ultimately the important thing is that homosexuality isn't one thing - especially in genetic females so this idea that being trans somehow wipes that out is very stupid, and ascribing a weird amount of moral weight onto a very new category in Human culture that again combines several different groups in the first place.
Masculine homosexuality is not the same thing as feminine male homosexuality and that's just one example. Female sexuality is even more complicated and all of this is still being researched. Autistic people also have different brain phenotypes and are more likely to be homosexual, bisexual and asexual.
https://www.researchgate.net/publica...le_bisexuality
A distinct feature of female sexuality is women?s widespread capacity for sexual fluidity (Luoto et al., 2019a). Recent research has emphasized, however, that sexual fluidity may not be expressed or active in heterosexual women; instead, it appears that bisexual women have the highest sexual fluidity, followed by homosexual women (Apostolou, 2018a). Whereas bisexuality refers to sexual attraction occurring regardless of sex-specific body type (male/female), sexual fluidity refers to situation-dependent flexibility in sexual responsiveness to different sex-specific body types (male/female/non-binary), and can encompass one or more of the following dimensions of sexual orientation:
(1) Self-identified labels ('homosexual', 'bisexual', 'heterosexual')
(2) Actual sexual behavior (with whom individuals have sex)
(3) Self-reported sexual feelings (attractions, preferences, fantasies, and desires)
(4) Genital, visual, or brain responses (physiologically measured arousal to male or female images) (Kanazawa, 2017).
Among these four different dimensions of sexual orientation, sexual fluidity has three
different facets: non exclusivity; change; and variance (Kanazawa, 2017).Sex researchers do not yet know why women?s sexual desire is more fluid (less category-specific) than men's. Another mystery in sex research is why men with higher sex drive have more sex only with men or only with women, while women with higher sex drive have sex with both men and women (Kanazawa, 2017).The model also provides an explanation for how maternal stress increases bisexual and homosexual behavior in female offspring (Bailey, Willerman, & Parks, 1991). Maternal stress leads to increased estrogen levels in fetal blood because its production occurs via adrenocorticotropin (ACTC) secretion by the fetal pituitary (reviewed in Wood, 2014). Accordingly, it is possible that increased estrogen masculinizes the INAH3 and leads to same-sex sexual preferences in women (Luoto et al., 2019a). This remains to be confirmed in empirical work: to our knowledge, there are no autopsy studies on nonheterosexual women, although other studies suggest that homosexual women?s brain morphology has at least partially shifted in the masculine direction (reviewed in Luoto et al., 2019a).In line with this neurodevelopmental model of the female sexual orientation spectrum (see Luoto et al., 2019a, 2019b for a detailed discussion), it is well known that butch lesbians behave in a gender-atypical way in childhood and adulthood while femmes behave in a gender-typical way in childhood (Hiestand & Levitt, 2005; Levitt, Gerrish, & Hiestand, 2003; Zheng, Wen, & Zheng, 2018 ). Likewise, because of higher in utero androgen exposure, butch lesbians have a more masculine body morphology than femmes (Singh, Vidaurri, Zambarano, & Dabbs, 1999), including more masculine digit ratios (Brown, Finn, Cooke, & Breedlove, 2002), which is a biomarker of prenatal androgen exposure (Luoto et al., 2019a). In addition to high prenatal testosterone exposure, another possible explanation for the butch lesbian phenotype is that they have more androgen receptors than femme lesbians or heterosexual women due to genetic differences, which would make them more sensitive to androgens. These gene variants (androgen receptor CAG repeat polymorphism) might be maintained in populations by sexually antagonistic pleiotropy, because the same genes would make the brothers of butch lesbians more masculine (Gettler et al., 2017; Luoto et al., 2019a). We give a broader discussion of this hypothesis in section 5. [/quote]It is important to note that all women and men are exposed to estrogen and testosterone during their development--only the doses differ. Thus, heterosexual women, bisexuals, femmes, butch lesbians, and F?M transsexuals do not form a single continuum; rather, neurodevelopmental mechanisms of sexual differentiation lead to a two-dimensional space (Luoto et al., 2019b) where prenatal testosterone and estrogen exposure vary (Fig. 1). The two-dimensionality of the neurodevelopmental pathways leading to variation in female sexual orientation and gender identity can partially account for the finding that not all bisexual women or lesbians identify themselves clearly as butch/femme, though many do (Luoto et al., 2019a)
XY complete androgen insensitivity syndrome seems similar to feminine female bisexuality:
Studies on genetic males (46, XY) with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS) have been used to argue that estrogens do not masculinize brains in humans (Motta-Mena & Puts, 2017). Although androgen receptors in XY CAIS individuals are non-functional, testosterone levels in XY CAIS individuals are normal, and testosterone is able to be aromatized into estrogen. It is important to note that individuals with the male XY genotype who are affected with CAIS are similar to unaffected (control) females in their body morphology (Hines, Ahmed, & Hughes, 2003).Although it is sometimes said that genetic XY males with CAIS have sexual interest towards males (e.g., Luoto et al., 2019a), this is not always the case (Hines et al., 2003). Brunner et al. (2016) found that the majority of eleven CAIS participants did not report an exclusively androphile (i.e., male-preferring) sexual orientation. This is a study on transsexual people trans men and women:One third of the CAIS participants had had sexual contact with a female partner, one third had had more male than female sex partners, and 45% (i.e. 4 out of 11) of XY CAIS individuals reported more fluid attraction or one more strongly oriented toward women than men (Brunner et al., 2016). However, CAIS individuals have reduced male-typical and increased female-typical play behavior (Hines et al., 2015). Thus, one could conclude that genetic (XY) males with CAIS seem to resemble femme bisexual women the most, supporting the hypothesis that aromatized estrogens masculinize the parts of the brain that are responsible for sexual orientation, seeing that XY CAIS individuals lack direct androgen action.

Both transgenderism and homosexuality are facets of human biology, believed to derive from different sexual differentiation of the brain. The two phenomena are, however, fundamentally unalike, despite an increased prevalence of homosexuality among transgender populations.Previously reported sex differences in FA were reproduced in cis-heterosexual groups, but were not found among the cis-homosexual groups. After controlling for sexual orientation, the transgender groups showed sex-typical FA-values. The only exception was the right inferior fronto-occipital tract, connecting parietal and frontal brain areas that mediate own body perception. Our findings suggest that the neuroanatomical signature of transgenderism is related to brain areas processing the perception of self and body ownership, whereas homosexuality seems to be associated with less cerebral sexual differentiation.TrW is trans women, and TrM trans men:In conclusion, the present findings support the idea of a distinction and partial overlap between the neurobiology underlying sexual orientation and transgenderism. Moreover, the observed right-hemisphere differences between the transgender groups and cisgender controls, also after taking into account sexual orientation, specifically in the IFOF further emphasize that the signature of GD is related to self-processing and the experience of body ownership.
Obviously afab people are more likely to come out as non-binary than amab part of this is social norms etc but the above finding is interesting and I've seen some other stuff in other research that suggests certain brain areas are in between in certain afab groups while being more female-typical in amab groups. With regard to GD the major observation was that the significant effect of Gender identity, after accounting for sexual orientation, was confined to the IFOF. Since there were no significant differences in FA between TrM and cisgender women, sex-atypical FA in the IFOF might be a more prominent feature in TrW. Interestingly, both TrW and TrM displayed FA values in the CST and SLF more in accordance with their sex assigned at birth, whereas in the IFOF the FA values were more in accordance with their gender identity (sex-atypical for TrW, sex-in between for TrM). The IFOF connects the occipital, parietal and medial prefrontal cortices44. The IFOF, in particular on the right side, may thus be involved in the perception of self (mediated by the mPFC50) and the perception of one?s own body (mediated by the right parietal lobe51,52). Consequently, aberrant FA in the IFOF of transgender individuals may be underlying to the unconformity between their perception of self and their body. Importantly, this finding of sex-atypical FA values in the IFOF did not change after accounting for the more heterogeneous sexual orientation among the transgender participants. Moreover, in our recent longitudinal study on testosterone treatment effects in a sub-sample of the TrM described here, we observed increases of FA selectively in the posterior part of the right IFOF, which may indicate treatment-related improvement of white matter integrity18.

This is because some subtypes of homosexuality are associated with psychological androgyny or atypicality. This isn't the same thing as being trans though. Our results suggest that some neuroanatomical, neurophysiological, and neurometabolic features in transgender individuals resemble those of their experienced gender despite the majority resembling those from their natal sex. In homosexual individuals the majority resemble those of their same-sex heterosexual population rather than their opposite-sex heterosexual population.
Personally I was quite feminine as a child as I said in another recent post but became less so with age. hough even as a young kid I was into some atypical stuff I guess but I'd say like 70/30 feminine. I'm non-binary and [BEEP] (hot homosexual.) The biggest thing really was overtime my 'role models' became increasingly male and my ideal body type became male. I had mild dysphoria associated with my female sex traits and also some issues with being short (but I don't really consider that gender dysphoria per se.) My identity just became more androgynous over time and people's perception of me was usually to view me as female but occasionally seeing me as androgynous or male-like. In spite of the fact that I always had long hair. This was secondary to me becoming more male identified over time. When I was very into being a super feminine child people obviously didn't see me as being androgynous and it was subconscious to start with. That being said I was harassed by one girl who kept implying I was a lesbian but even that didn't start until we were like 11. I have different feelings about relationships as well like whether I'd prefer to be female or male in that relationship that can vary depending on the person depending on my current mental state. I think it's seperate from body perception/ideal to some extent though like even if I had a male body I'd still consider myself partly female in terms of identity and vice versa.
My brother was mostly masculine but when we were young kids people mistook us for twin girls, and they kept thinking he was a girl until about puberty because he always had long hair because he hated getting it cut. He didn't particularly like long hair and didn't have it for it's own sake just hated getting it cut and change in general. We both have some autistic traits. He also spent some time looking after a baby doll he named after his middle name but was otherwise mostly gender typical I think in terms of interest etc. He also enjoys being a guy. Like some people are indifferent probably most people but he specifically said a few months ago actually that he enjoys being a guy and he's mostly straight. I think he has some attraction to femblook boys who basically identical to women and that's about it.
So behaviour, interest etc doesn't mean much. Oh and our mum was quite CREATIVE lol and left handed kind of that stereotype she's straight afaik. Both my parents seem fairly neurodivergent to me and neurotic but neither are diagnosed with anything. They have issues for sure lol. Especially my dad.
The thing where you're not just indifferent vs actually enjoying being a gender is perhaps interesting in itself since that also varies individually. I knew someone who I think was doing some hobbyist research on that topic along with others years ago. There was one guy on discord who specifically really enjoyed being both male and masculine and he was cisgender and bisexual. I think someone came up with the term 'cis by default' I guess it was them:
https://thingofthings.wordpress.com/...is-by-default/
Haha opps.[HISTORICAL NOTE: This is literally the only post anyone ever wanted to reference after my blog was deleted. Sadface.]
Comment on that blog post:But the thing is? I think that some people don't have that subjective internal sense of themselves as being a particular gender. There's no part of their brain that says "I?m a guy!", they just look around and people are calling them "he" and they go with the flow. They?re cis by default, not out of a match between their gender identity and their assigned gender.
I think you could probably tell them apart by asking them the old "what would you do if you suddenly woke up as a cis woman/cis man?" If they instantly understand why you?d need to transition in that circumstance, they?re regular old cis; if they are like "I'd probably be fine with it actually,? they might be cis by default. (Of course, the problem is that they might be a cis person with a gender identity who just can?t imagine what gender dysphoria would feel like. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to stick random cis men with estrogen and find out how many of them get dysphoric.)
(I'm noticing some similarities, as I write this, to what I?ve read about what being agender feels like-- although of course agender people are not cis. If my agender readers could confirm or deny the similarity, that'd be helpful.)
There was a transphobe on another forum I was on who was like 'only trans people feel a sense of gender and nobody else has a gender identity' but obviously some cis people do it varies.I've pretty much always felt that way, but I think I fall more into the category of having a very weak sense of gender identity. I'm male, but it is very superficial. I?m totally content with being male, and yet if I woke up female one day, of course it would be an adjustment but I don?t think I would feel trans.
I was once at a large dinner party where I asked everyone to close their eyes and report whether they felt an internal sense of gender. Apart from one other person, everyone laughed and thought the question was insane ? of course they felt they were their gender. The other person said there was not really anything inside ? and that's how I feel about myself. I relate to the outside world as male, but deep inside there isn't really any gender.
https://thingofthings.wordpress.com/...dentification/
Lol right?[...]I also think that people?s ability to notice their gender identity is affected by what community they?re in. For instance, evangelical Christian books are full of passages like this:
And New-Agey books are full of passages like this:To answer these questions, we need to understand the nature of sexual passion and spiritual openness. Sexual attraction is based on sexual polarity, which is the force of passion that arcs between masculine and feminine poles. All natural forces flow between two poles. The North and South Poles of the Earth create a force of magnetism. The positive and negative poles of your electrical outlet or car battery create an electrical flow. In the same way, masculine and feminine poles between people create the flow of sexual feeling. This is sexual polarity.
This force of attraction, which flows between the two different poles of masculine and feminine, is the dynamism that often disappears in modern relationships. If you want real passion, you need a ravisher and a ravishee; otherwise, you just have two buddies who decide to rub genitals in bed.
Each of us, man or woman, possesses both inner masculine and inner feminine qualities. Men can wear earrings, tenderly hug each other, and dance ecstatically in the woods. Women can change the oil in the car, accumulate political and financial power, and box in the ring. Men can take care of their children. Women can fight for their country. We have proven these things. Just about anyone can animate either masculine or feminine energy in any particular moment. (Although they still might have a strong preference to do one or the other, which we will get to in a moment.)
The bottom line of today?s newly emerging 50/50, or ?second stage,? relationship is this: If men and women are clinging to a politically correct sameness even in moments of intimacy, then sexual attraction disappears. I don?t mean just the desire for intercourse, but the juice of the entire relationship begins to dry up. The love may still be strong, the friendship may still be strong, but the sexual polarity fades, unless in moments of intimacy one partner is willing to play the masculine pole and one partner is willing to play the feminine. You have to animate the masculine and feminine differences if you want to play in the field of sexual passion.(After having read The Way Of The Superior Man, I never want to hear complaints about trans people's autogenderphilia again. At least we don't claim that sexual attraction is literally impossible unless you're an autogenderphile.)
There's a 2014 survey here written by Scott Alexander but as that blog creator points out, the rationalist community is kind of weird genderwise. Also mostly male and they also have a higher rate of autism so results can't really be generalised:
https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/YAkp...survey-results
I wish scientists would do more research on certain related topics. It's mostly hobbyists online. 'When does someone become a scientist?' Though yeah I don't know.Gender Default
I only identify with my birth gender by default: 681, 45.3%
I strongly identify with my birth gender: 586, 39.0%
Anyway...
This is a topic I can tell he's barely read about and he has no personal experience with any of the associated groups as a heterosexual cisgender man yet he keeps talking about it.
My hope is he could one day talk to someone like Aella since he obviously has loose connections to the rationalist community (and similar overlapping groups, Aella isn't really a rationalist? I'm not keeping up with various subcultural labels either.) Via the overlap with the IDW community and Elon Musk is tangentially connected as well (and he seems to love him lol..,) and then hopefully become at least a little more open minded perhaps about binary trans people. That wouldn't help me lol since I'm non-binary and nobody's bothering to research us most of the time, but better than nothing.
As I say though I think his objections are predominantly moral objections based on certain ideals and he also seems to have a very low opinion of sex workers and she is also a sex workers or was (makes her a lot more interesting haha a sex worker who does sex research. I've stopped using twitter but I was following her a lot at one point. Though she doesn't really get non-binary people either sadly) - so yeah I doubt that would happen.
I think she has also had arguments with other people who he's probably spoken to? I think Meghan Murphy blocked her lol after a while. But actually Meghan Murphy and Jordan Peterson were just at the same event at Vancouver so probably didn't exactly talk then. She has talked to Louise Perry about the sexual revolution though and I haven't watched that dunno how it went. I'm really not into Louise Perry and that circle's ideological views lol and of course Jordan Peterson is more aligned with Louise Perry and spoke to her too, which as I say is another reason she probably couldn't really effect his viewpoint because he is in general a conservative.
Also though it would be hilarious to see him speak to Grimes about demonic AI.
In some surveys lesbians seem to be the group who most support trans people:
There are so many potential reasons why but I think possibly the way the terf movement is selling out lesbian mothers and other lesbian women who are effected by gender policing because they're often the women getting chucked out of and harassed in female toilets now - could be related. It's not just transsexuals who have opinions on the categorisations we use for sex and gender in society:New research by Just Like Us has found that lesbians are the most likely of the whole LGBTQ+ community to be supportive of trans people. Lesbians are the most likely to say they know a trans person (92% ), and also the most likely to say they are "supportive" or "very supportive" of trans people (96% ). That?s compared to 89% of LGBTQ+ people overall, and just 69% of non-LGBTQ+ people.
https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/21/e...0their%20child.I can't go to public restrooms because people are so mean. [...] I've had people physically put their hands on me, I've had people scream at me. I've had a lot of issues in public restrooms. Which I think is funny when people are so transphobic like basically trying to say afab people should go to the women's restrooms. And it's like 'I'm afab but you won't let me into the women's restroom.' There's a huge uproar.
The northern Italian city of Padua has started removing the names of non-biological gay mothers from their children?s birth certificates under new legislation passed by the "traditional family-first" government of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
These birth certificates belong to 33 children of Italian women who underwent artificial insemination abroad and then registered their children under the city?s center-left government, led by Sergio Giordani, in 2017.
The prosecutor's office in Padua confirmed to CNN that, as of Thursday, 27 mothers had been removed from 27 birth certificates. He might also consider doing research into the nisu subculture in China, and the general phenomenon on tumblr where a lot of people talk about guys they find attractive as though they are women. They don't seem to discriminate based on physical masculinity though my preferences being what they are I did happen to notice this a lot with certain androgynous looking guys I find attractive first. I also notice a lot of the people doing this are [BEEP] identified women, non-binary people and trans men and in China some people who are into the nisu subculture and quoted in that paper also express wanting a dick, wanting to be male during sex, and having that kind of sexuality. The measure means that only the biological parent of a child can be named on a birth certificate.
Surrogacy is illegal in Italy, and gay marriage has not been legalized. Because same-sex relationships aren't recognized in law, the non-biological parent has to make a special case for legally adopting their child.
He won't ever do this though because everything you don't like is a terrible social contagion and well we just have to control the genetic females until they start agreeing with what we want.
Well you can keep trying that but not many have any interest in playing along these days.
A lot of lesbian and bisexual people also identify as non-binary or genderfluid so. Like Ally actually in the video above the one with the blue hair.
Deal with it.

That's a weird thing to say/do. Also play there again I like the look of the venue a lot:Live, Anhedonia is a captivating, remarkable performer: during a show at the London club Omeara last year, you could hear a pin drop as she shepherded an audience of thrilled young fans through her largely hushed setlist. But at concerts, Anhedonia will sometimes be trying to perform her quietest, most intimate songs, only to have people yell jokes at her, breaking the spell. "I had a show recently where I was singing the really quiet intro to Sun Bleached Flies," she recalls. "I went to hold [a fan's] hand and they began sort of screaming, 'I didn?t even know who you were two weeks ago, I found you through a meme on TikTok.' It?s almost like heckling. I don't think any of them are mean spirited, but it's a little jarring.?
Oh no that's never going to happen again. Damn it. Someone interesting play there. Drab Majesty you only have 300ish followers on the subreddit created for you (this isn't a good way of guesstimating fanbase size lol.) Also Drab Majesty come to the UK again in general. Our 320 capacity
Apparently she's playing in London in late August but it's a big outdoor concert with 39k+ capacity that's sold out and I don't want to go to that kind of gig for her music.
So then, I guess I agree. And yet, the album struck a chord, winning Anhedonia a colossal, adoring fanbase, despite the relative density of the actual music. At the time of the album's release, Anhedonia told the New York Times that she was happy to "play Miss Alt-Pop Star and parade myself around" if it meant that she would be able to build a sustainable career. A year later, she seems less sure. Zooming from her bedroom in Pittsburgh, perched on a desk chair in a forest green hoodie, in front of a window that's been blacked-out with a blanket, she says that she "would really love to have a much smaller fanbase, and kind of go back to where I was aiming for ahead of time" instead of the intense scrutiny positive and negative she faces now.
I know. It's so fucking besides the point of music.Pop fans treat artists like fantasy football teams, using streams, stats and followers like Pokemon to fight each other
And this weird social media thing happens in general now. I make video game videos it's hardly important and I've still had someone comment on some of my videos pointing out how I shouldn't upload certain types of videos because viewers were less interested in those (as though I didn't notice lol,) and then comparing my channel to another similar channel which is gaining more subscribers right now and they were like 'I've been subscribed for a while so I just want your channel to grow.' 'Well the algorithm will-' I know lol. Unfortunately if you don't cater to whatever the most popular micro niche of your channel ends up being (unless you're lucky you'll get stuck with something,) YouTube will [BEEP] you over. I'm trying not to view it as a competition. It's not very healthy for community building and it's not exactly something that needs to be a competition. Ah they mean well though but it's not great.
Mm and she's not very pop-like. Just start making even weirder, less accessible music. It will probably be better too creatively.Part of the problem, Anhedonia thinks, is the fact that she is often classed as a pop artist, and therefore becomes part of the stan economy, wherein teens treat female artists "like fantasy football teams", arguing "about streams and stats and followers and almost using them as like Pokemon to fight each other."
I'm intrigued.Right now, aside from an impending tour, Anhedonia is living the quiet life in Pittsburgh "I just sit in my cave all day and write or embroider, watch a movie, play a game. My friends and I will go to the woods or a river, anywhere there's not a lot of people" and working on the follow-up to Preacher's Daughter. "I'm trying to push my own envelope a bit. I'm trying to be super intentional about it and careful and dedicated and meticulous. Some of the songs I'm proudest of are on this project."
She has this life + aesthetic/vibe that's very easy to romanticise as a socially anxious introvert lol. Like what if my life but less bad habits and more creativity + motivation + friends/financial independence?
Yeah I think being super famous on the level of Britney Spears would be an absolute nightmare personally.Still, she is conscious of where her music goes, and says "no to most opportunities ? I've been asked to share some stages with some artists, I've been asked to sing on some songs with some big artists, and I just had to say no, because I don't want to be up there with them, I really don't," she says. "I really do want to reiterate how grateful I am for everyone who's ever said a nice word about my music. But I really think there can be too much of a good thing there's just some levels of success that I really don't want for myself."
Part of Anhedonia?s popularity - she has nearly 300,000 Instagram followers, and was the face of recent Givenchy, Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs campaigns - can be attributed to the fact that she is extremely internet literate, and became known online for a sharp Twitter feed on which she participated in jokes and memes about her public image. It soon began to feel as if she was "a dancing monkey in a circus. It's very like, 'h, she's so funny on Twitter, she's so relatable? and then it becomes this big weird joke cycle," she says. Although she stresses that she loves the support and adoration of her fans, she says it can become demoralising to not have her art met on the level she'd like it to be: "Don't get me wrong, laughter and memes and jokes are always really fun. But when you want to post something to be consumed seriously, people are still joking - and then you get like, thousands of comments that are like, 'silly goose'. All of a sudden, you start to feel like you can't turn off the memeable internet personality thing."Looks like she still has a tumblr? And honestly she's responding to people a lot on there and posting in general. Just seems like shade to twitter and I can't blame her at all xD it's so much better on tumblr.Earlier this month, she deleted her Twitter, leaving fans aghast. "I always kind of conflated openness with honesty and I thought that if I was completely transparent and bared every aspect of my soul that people would think I was relatable and kinda cool," she says. "Then I was like, I don't want to know you. I don't want to be friends with you. I don't want to have all of my personal business and every innermost thought just out there on the internet for the world to see."
Also why am I not following her account.
It helps but there's still a lot of crap I can't stop focussing on.why dont you try making up a delusion or private world and go live in it and maybe you'll calm down.
lucille sharpe skulking around her decrepit mansion that sinks every day a little deeper into the blood red clay mines underneath it wearing the absolute cuntiest outfits you?ve ever seen and wanting absolutely nobody to bother her and her brother who she?s madly in love with to the point of killing anyone who comes near? yeah?. yeah:')i have this one pinterest board called super dark times that i tell myself is for 80s/90s horror movie nostalgia but it's actually just a bunch of pictures of rory culkin

i've been reading the akira manga finally and listening to sega sunset by lorn on repeat while i do so that's been consuming quite a bit of my headspace lately. it's so good. also i bought myself a copy of wisconsin death trip and that's quite a wild read.
I like this track too:
Ohh did she get into Akira via synthwave? I still haven't watched that film and that's not how I discovered it but lots of synthwave videos have been made with Akira. Love this:
Perturbator are prob my favourite synthwave band also interesting goth-ish + synthwave album they released some time in the last couple of years:
And I know what Xanadu is now haha since I listened to Rush:
I love this:
and Retrogenesis:
And this (I had an avatar that was sort of like this music video years ago as well lol. I like pixel art a lot I was doing pixel dailies on twitter at one point but then stopped because well I stop everything):
Edit: Uh for some reason I forgot certain details of the uncensored video I feel like there was another version before that was a bit less sexual lol so edited this.
I need to dial down the parasocial relationship about 5 degrees. (There is no official unit of measurement.)

Oh that's a screenshot from one of my videos lmfao.
But yeah that moment was hilarious.
Why did YouTube autogenerate a playlist for me called punk rock where the first video in the playlist is Porcupine Tree lmfao:
Also this playlist is a lot of AFI which is mostly pop-punk/post-hardcore (nitpicking there,) Alkaline Trio (again pop-punk, emoish etc, nitpicking) but also! Somehow Grimes and Cocteau Twins and Coil. I love it.
^ yeah that bit from 1:05 onwards is still the best thing she's done probably aside from Genesis.
It updated a bit so it's now including the punk rock bands Nine Inch Nails and Coheed and Cambria. Yup.
But also some My Chemical Romance.
The prog rock tracks are particularly funny to me because there's some kind of lore there with a supposed rivalry/animosity.
Political and social trends of the late 1970s shifted away from the early 1970s hippie attitudes that had led to the genre's development and popularity. The rise in punk cynicism made the utopian ideals expressed in progressive rock lyrics unfashionable.[113] Virtuosity was rejected, as the expense of purchasing quality instruments and the time investment of learning to play them were seen as barriers to rock's energy and immediacy.[114] There were also changes in the music industry, as record companies disappeared and merged into large media conglomerates. Promoting and developing experimental music was not part of the marketing strategy for these large corporations, who focused their attention on identifying and targeting profitable market niches.[115]I think people view the genres as complete opposites but some punk rock bands like The Stranglers had baroque pop/psychedelic pop/new wave tracks:Progressive Rock and Punk Rock have both been around for several decades. In fact, the origins of both genres trace back to around 1967. Because these genres are polar opposites, fans hardly get along. Punk is scrappy and amateur, while Prog is tight-knit and complicated. So is it impossible for fans to appreciate both? I love Prog Rock, more so than punk, but I can respect and acknowledge Punk Rock's triumphs. What are your thoughts?
I really love those tracks.
I don't know why but I was reminded of this song (Golden Brown doesn't sound like it but it reminded me anyway lol):
That's my favourite song about a sadomasochistic novel. (Also I like how he laughs on the track after singing Bleed For Me.) The other song I've heard being Nine Inch Nails Happiness in Slavery which was inspired by The Torture Garden. It has an interesting (messed up,) music video that I actually watched on YouTube back when YouTube censored very little lol. Also The Torture Garden is kind of interesting. I didn't read it properly I skimmed through it, but I liked the nature themes. It falls into predictable/old patterns though.
I prefer angel of decomposition and decay because it's alliterative (I'm guessing there are multiple translations):fairy of the charnel-house, angel of decomposition and rot,
fairy of mass graves, angel of decomposition and decaycalyx of her skirts,"women are far more specialized and complete than you think. Incomparable virtuosi and great artists in grief that they are, they prefer the sight of suffering to that of death, and tears to blood. And it’s a wonderfully ambiguous business in which each finds what he is looking for; since everyone draws quite different conclusions. We exalt woman's compassion or curse her cruelty for equally irrefutable reasons, according to whether we are momentarily disposed to owe her gratitude or hatred. So what good are all these fruitless discussions; for in the eternal battle of the sexes, we are always conquered—and we can do nothing about it--and none of us as yet, be he misogynist or feminist, has found a more perfect instrument of pleasure, or any other means of reproduction, than woman."
But the man with the ravaged face made violent gestures of denial:
"Listen to me," he said. "The hazards of existence and what a life I’ve had have placed me in the presence of--not a woman--but woman. I have seen her, stripped of the artifices and hypocrisies with which civilization veils her real soul. I have seen her abandoned to her single whim, or, if you prefer, to her sole driving instincts, in an environment where nothing, it is true, can restrain them and, on the contrary, everything conspires to excite themThis song has nothing to do with the book but it also reminds me of it lol:It was her true self I saw, in her original, nudity, among gardens and tortures--blood and flowers!
It was inspired by this:
The song was inspired by the artwork of the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch, who felt that he had produced good art when he felt that "a bloodflower popped out from his heart." Robert Smith added: "As a coincidence, about the same time, I was reading a poetry book about World War I, and one of the poems described how a wound in one of the soldiers, hit by a bullet, opened a blood flower in his body. I liked this analogy, between pain and art." (Folha de Sao Paulo, 2000).Woman possesses the cosmic force of an element, an invincible force of destruction, like nature's. She is, in herself alone, all nature! Being the matrix
of life, she is by that very fact the matrix of death--since it is from death that life is perpetually reborn, and since to annihilate death would be to kill life at its only fertile source."hermaphroditic divinities gave themselves to each other or straddled impassioned monsters.I like this because it kind of shows how sadism can be a form of masochism. This is probably more true when it's voyeuristic it's like a kind of morbid curiosity."I'm sure you think me wicked, because I enjoy things that make you grow pale and tremble. You think me wicked and heartless, don’t you?" Without waiting for a reply, she confessed:
"But I grow pale too, and I also tremble. Otherwise I wouldn’t enjoy myself. Well, do you think me wicked?"
I think there are multiple sadisms there's the morbid curiosity sadism where you're like fascinated/horrified/aroused, then there's the psychopathic sadism where it's essentially like a form of domination where you use other's fear as a way to empower yourself especially if it's something that doesn't freak you out as much (I think this is the form that most psychopathic killers have to an extreme degree, though almost always it's coupled with poor impulse control or drug use and obviously a lack of shame/guilt,) then there's the enjoyment of people's fear/disgust etc which probably ties into the last one but seems to also have some additional unique motivation that I'm still puzzling out (because I find it amusing when people are scared/freaked out etc up to a point. Maybe this is just the last thing but more subconscious not sure,) some kind of weird admiration/fascination again for people who are masochistic (that loops into the first point I mentioned but more focussed on the individual.) 'Oh you can be aroused by this? How fascinating.' It's kind of romantically appealing. Weirdly think it provokes protective feelings as well sometimes. (Actually I guess that's the appeal of the hurt/comfort genre.) There's a kind of self destructive element to sadism sometimes too I think. There's a specific moment from my past I'm thinking about. I think it's similar to the thought process behind intrusive thoughts 'what if I did this.'
Technically speaking sadism emphasises enjoyment of inflicting pain and/or humiliation on others not fear but I think it should probably be connected.
I don't know Sadism seems to be the theme of my week (again.) Lol..........

"When I know that I am nothing, that is wisdom. When I know that I am everything, that is love. Between the two my life moves." - Nisargadatta Maharaj
He's repeating the same talking points with most people he talks to at this point. I'm not going to watch the whole of this but lol the left are the fascists supposedly but Jordan Peterson seems to want to build a case that the left are parasitic psychopaths and nothing more (with added dark feminine evil other thrown into the mix,) as he doesn't often bother to draw distinction between what he sees as authoritarians and the left in general, meanwhile Gad Saad is talking about how exciting it is that they're finding connections between morphology and ideology. So some kind of neo phrenology. Fun lol!
But the science doesn't have to be used that way and is interesting. Oh sure but they absolutely will use it this way for political purposes. Because they're both assholes.
And then they go back to the 'sneaky fucker theory' of male social justice activists. This is something Jordan Peterson has brought up a few times always with contempt for 'guys like that.'
I despise the way these talking heads apply this theory to Humans like 'stealing mating opportunities' who's opportunities you entitled pricks?
Overly masculine asshole males don't have a shot with me lol. And people aren't stupid (or fish,) so they put in a lot of effort to discern the actual androgynous guys from narcissists and then destroy the fakes:Gad Saad
Oh god Jordan's talking about the orangutans again shoot me lol.
Jordan you are a really sensitive guy so if you're making the case that that type is prone to rape you're telling on yourself. He seems to have left that part out this time lol but he goes into it here in more detail:
I have a 'funny' story too Jordan. When male bonobos get too aggressive sometimes females will bite their penis off. At least in captivity, but we're all living in captivity and they are some of our closest genetic relatives. So I don't think you have to worry too much. Or pretend to worry too much.
A male bonobo has a lifelong relationship with his mother: nursing until age 4, riding her piggyback to age 6, hanging out with her for life in a coed group and drawing her into his battles. If she dies, he can lose rank.
"Some human males would call them crybabies," quips De Waal. "Male bonobos really don’t fit the human male ideal. It is possible we can redeem them. . . . There is some vague indication that males have some effect over which way the group travels."Three of the males escaped, but the females cornered and grabbed the fourth one -- the resident alpha male. He was healthy, muscular and about 18 pounds heavier than any of his captors. But no matter.
The females bit into him as he howled and struggled to pull free. Finally, "he dropped from the tree and ran away, and he didn’t appear again for about three weeks," said Nahoko Tokuyama, of the Primate Research Institute at Kyoto University in Japan, who witnessed the encounter. When the male returned, he kept to himself. Dr. Tokuyama noticed that the tip of one of his toes was gone.
"Being hated by females," she said in an email interview, "is a big matter for male bonobos."
The toe-trimming incident was extreme but not unique. Describing results from their long-term field work in the September issue of Animal Behaviour, Dr. Tokuyama and her colleague Takeshi Furuichi reported that the female bonobos of Wamba often banded together to fend off male aggression, and in patterns that defied the standard primate rule book.Another female that had constantly attacked a male at the Stuttgart Zoo in Germany was believed to be the culprit responsible for biting his penis almost in half (vets were able to reattach it). A high rate of physical abnormalities in males in the wild at Wamba, Congo, may also partially stem from female aggression.Female bonobos are, however, known to attack males, swatting, gouging, smacking, and biting those that cross or merely annoy them. Parish described a male bonobo in Frankfurt with only eight digits intact, and another male that had had its penis nearly severed. Intrigued, Parish looked at zoo veterinary records and discovered that more than 95 percent of serious injuries were inflicted on males by females. Bonobos, Parish realized, are a female-dominant species."And if you can't understand that from a Human perspective than you're not bloody well thinking."Why is it that male bonobos are unable to stand up for each other? Maybe they get something out of it . . . or they actually enjoy themselves."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hikikomori
Severe social withdrawal in Japan appears to affect men and women equally. However, because of differing social expectations for maturing boys and girls, the most widely reported cases of hikikomori are from middle- and upper-middle-class families; sons, typically their eldest, refuse to leave the home, often after experiencing one or more traumatic episodes of social or academic failure.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Anatomy_of_DependenceIn The Anatomy of Dependence, Takeo Doi identifies the symptoms of hikikomori, and explains its prevalence as originating in the Japanese psychological construct of amae (in Freudian terms, "passive object love", typically of the kind between mother and infant).
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1854883/The Anatomy of Dependence (甘えの構造, Amae no Kōzō) is a 1971 book by Japanese psychoanalyst Takeo Doi, discussing at length Doi's concept of amae, which he describes as a uniquely Japanese need to be in good favor with, and be able to depend on, the people around oneself. He likens this to behaving childishly in the assumption that parents will indulge you (Doi 2001:16), and claims that the ideal relationship is that of the parent–child, and all other relationships should strive for this degree of closeness (Doi 2001:39).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women-...nderful_effectAlmost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7% ) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15491274/The women-are-wonderful effect is the phenomenon found in psychological and sociological research which suggests that people associate more positive attributes with women when compared to men. This bias reflects an emotional bias toward women as a general case. The phrase was coined by Alice Eagly and Antonio Mladinic in 1994 after finding that both male and female participants tend to assign positive traits to women, with female participants showing a far more pronounced bias. Positive traits were assigned to men by participants of both genders, but to a far lesser degree.
Lol.Four experiments confirmed that women's automatic in-group bias is remarkably stronger than men's and investigated explanations for this sex difference, derived from potential sources of implicit attitudes (L. A. Rudman, 2004). In Experiment 1, only women (not men) showed cognitive balance among in-group bias, identity, and self-esteem (A. G. Greenwald et al., 2002), revealing that men lack a mechanism that bolsters automatic own group preference.
Humans get a lot of behaviour from chimpanzees too of course like cannibalism, infanticide, male gangs etc lower proactive aggression than chimpanzees, but I think higher than bonobos. That's in everyday life. If chimpanzee society was scaled up they'd probably have war or something similar but as it's not that's uniquely Human. In general kind of in-between I think. Men tend to be leaders but groups of women will overthrow incompetent male leaders like what happened during the Liberian civil war. After that that country gained a female leader so although they were technically working together to end the war they were also gaining power. Actually though infanticide in Humans is more commonly carried out by women. Men tend to kill older children. Female chimpanzees also engage in infanticide including coalitions of females killing babies which is unusual from a Human perspective. Often female infanticide in Humans consists of women killing their own children but you do get cases where they do it for sexual competition reasons like this very peculiar case from the Victorian Era in London (this woman is also a potential suspect in the Jack the Ripper case I recently learnt):
Even after Hogg wed Styles, he continued to have a sexual relationship with Mary Pearcey. But when Styles gave birth, Pearcey snapped and lured the new mother and her baby over for tea on October 24.
Shortly after Styles arrived, Pearcey slashed her throat then smothered her baby and threw it out onto the street.omg bonobo unicorn hunters. That actually is hilarious.Notably, bonobo females approached by a female and a male simultaneously for sex (it happens) tend to choose girl-on-girl action.
The Human bonobos tend to avoid posting pictures of the guy on online dating sites and make the girl approach but it still often doesn't work out.
How most females feel after receiving messages from an adventurous couple that made a joint online dating account to spice their life up with a "third"And the account is always in the girls name, with 5/6 of the pictures being selfies of her, with the last photo of the two of them like... I'll passTo the extent this works out at all generally speaking it's because the woman got together with another woman on online dating, then later tried to introduce her boyfriend at which point she just leaves. I'd imagine it works only when the guy is hot enough to get casual sex alone. Even then this dynamic has such a bad reputation it rarely would work.Extra points if the woman speaks to you one-on-one first and then reveals it’s actually a couple you’ve been talking to. Or: "I have my boyfriend's permission and he doesn’t have to be involved but he CAN be involved later if you want OMG doesn’t this immediately make this sound more approachable and less creepy aren’t we clever hahaha".
Also crying over Bridget Jones' diary is probably preferable to this manipulative shit:
Not long after this there's a timestamp called 'why is Dr Peterson so polarizing'
I WONDER.
I just have no patience for this at this point lol. And yeah his general thesis is 'everyone who disagrees with me politically is a psychopath or narcissist' but also because he wants to shame men who disagree with him just a little more he implies they are worse than female activists who he sees as irritating harpies. But those guys 'make my blood run cold.' I thought you said everyone was a psychopath and/or narcissist though Jordan? I'm certainly not perfect lol and I am somewhat sexually sadistic. So we can just prey on each other I guess while you sit and cry about Elliot Page. (Hypothetically of course I'm not dating anyone these days lol.)
Going to make sure I let him know if I ever see him irl that I don't agree with him. Just walk around with notes until I find him. Start reading him an essay. 'I've transcended the aether and now I'm in your world. A non-anonymous troll demon' Anyway didn't students at his university start yelling at him? Didn't that trigger his ongoing meltdown in the first place? So it hasn't just been online lol. I actually probably wouldn't though because he has the energy of someone who is barely holding on not least because he refers to his critics as troll demons and is in several videos very transparently trying to reassure himself about the separation between the internet (fantasy,) and reality, so that might push him over the edge. And I'm not even saying that to be shitty at this point he's been schizotypal-adj for years (that's why his talks are somewhat interesting,) and it seems to have gotten worse.
And he comes out with these incendiary statements, is misinformed on numerous topics but he has a high pitched voice and he cries a lot and acts sensitive. Which triggers my empathy. Unlike someone like Andrew Tate. And it's annoying. And it's manipulative. And that's why I think everything he's saying is very ironic.
I remember thinking this song seemed harsh somehow but then Jordan Peterson just kept crying and talking:
Speaking of online breaking into reality. I went to see The Dresden Dolls live in 2018 and this was when Amanda Palmer was still with Neil Gaiman and he was at the concert it was a bit like Tumblr was suddenly irl.
I'm done. Triggered. I can't believe no one's uploaded that part of the video as a reaction lol 5:20 in the video:
edit: So obvious that she has ADHD lol. When she said in another video (or somewhere can't remember where,) she'd been diagnosed with ADHD I was like 'yep.' Lol. Not even a question. The internet is a nightmare if you have any of these traits at at all. I don't have ADHD (I've not been diagnosed/examined,) but issues with obsession/addictive personality and anger seem to run in my family. Also the thing where she just grabs stuff mid-rant and the pen haha I'm always doing this. I have to constantly move around and fidget with this pen etc. Chuck it across the room, have to find the pen again. My brother was wondering what this sound he kept hearing was and it was me drumming the table with the pen apparently it was loud (I've been using wireless headphones so it drowns out a lot of sound and I didn't realise.) He thought I was hammering something. Like doing some DIY :') nah just hitting this table with a pen while listening to music.
'Why don't you exercise more?'
Yeah I know. It's not a knowledge problem.
I just want to mention again that the first books the Nazi's burnt were on transgender research btw. Even modern day Nazi's will admit that and praise that. While protesting drag queen story hour events.
I actually can't watch Bridget Jones Diary it's got those two British actors in who are like the British equivalent of Tom Cruise in that I avoid anything they're in. Hugh Grant is like painfully English and yes I'm saying this as an English person I don't know what's going on there. The other guy I don't know what it is about him that's off putting but something.
