This has to be satire right?

    https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/lifes...stirs-backlash

In Japan, call to ban women marrying after 25 stirs backlash

Naoki Hyakuta, founder of the Conservative Party of Japan, also angered many when he proposed uterus removal for women at the age of 30

Naoki Hyakuta, a writer and founder of the Conservative Party of Japan, also said that women should not be permitted to attend university from the age of 18, apparently so they could focus their efforts on producing more babies.

I was seriously wondering. I wasn't familiar with the website.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/asia/j...-b2644795.html

The leader of a minor Japanese opposition party apologised on Sunday for mentioning a hypothetical idea that women have their uteruses removed after turning 30 so they feel they have a "time limit" on childbirth.
    Omg.

OK we're done. Humanity isn't going to make it. We can't come back from the direction we've gone too far in. There are too many rape-y authoritarian men. Japan and South Korea are going to die first obviously.

"Remove your uterus to reverse the declining birth rate."

    Lol.

It's stupid before you even get into the ethics of forced surgery.

When Kaori Arimoto, a senior member of Mr Hyakuta's party who was with him on the programme, suggested that his comments were inappropriate, even as a "science fiction" scenario, he replied, "I was explaining about the time limitation (faced by women in giving birth) in a plain way".

Ms Arimoto said that social values were rapidly changing and many people no longer equated happiness with having children. She asked Mr Hyakuta for his views on restoring these values.

Mr Hyakuta responded that reversing this trend would require changes to the social structure and suggested, hypothetically, that if women felt a "time limit" on childbirth, they might choose to have children earlier.

Women already have an insane time limit to do everything that doesn't work with current society, reducing it won't help.

The truth is men also aren't ready at all when they are younger (not just financially but emotionally,) and then just date younger women when they are when they hit their 40s (by that point women their own age are basically done with their reproductive life.) But most don't date younger women due to a lack of resources/too much competition. Younger women aren't really attracted to older guys unless they're high status etc and even then might be a bit wary these days. The average age gap in relationships is like 4 years top I think in either direction. Really big age gaps are for teachers who are about to go to prison, famous people (was going to say men but I'm pretty sure famous women can do this when they want as well look at Cher,) and really rich people. This leads to lots of single people and couples without kids. 'DINK'

"DINK" is an acronym that stands for "double income, no kids" or "dual income, no kids", referring to couples who are voluntarily childless. It describes a couple without children living together while both partners are receiving an income; because both of their wages are coming into the same household, they are able to live more comfortable economically than couples who live together and spend their money on raising their children. The term was coined at the height of yuppie culture in the 1980s. The Great Recession solidified this social trend, as more couples waited longer to have children or chose not to have children at all.[1]

I think some wealthy attractive women in their 30s are dating younger guys like shoeonhead with her husband who is 5 years younger and conservative (so ready to have kids at a younger age than liberal men.) But that's not an approach most can take. She'd made lots of money from YouTube I'm sure. + It's not really a big age gap.

Obviously this kind of dynamic won't result in kids most of the time because most younger guys don't want to have kids and they also want long term relationships with women their own age and younger. Being unable to get that they settle for something more short term with an older woman.

Also the above is something that can only really work in the West. Japanese culture is stuck in the mindset of 'woman stays home with family after marriage and never works.' And so most women literally have to choose between family and career to an even greater extent than in the West and so lots of couples are like 'well we'll just both work then no one has to sacrifice anything.' Working from home as a YouTuber is also atypical and incredibly flexible.

Also hilarious that they don't think women will just choose to never get married if you do that. It's like the people who complain about no fault divorce. I actually think getting married young is a very bad move. For the minority it really works for it works well, but for a lot of people it works terribly. My parents definitely shouldn't have gotten married in their early 20s it seems my dad didn't really want to. He also didn't want kids until we were born. There are more issues with my family but I hate writing about it.

The Institute for Family Studies reports that those who tie the knot at 30 years old are less likely to end their marriage than those who do so at a younger age (except for religious individuals)

"Everyone seems to be really risk averse so I think increasing the risk will help."

Btw what they are doing above is the female version of what's happening here:

    The impulse is pure
    Sometimes our circuits get shorted
    By external interference

    Signals get crossed
    And the balance distorted
    By internal incoherence

    A tired mind become a shape-shifter
    Everybody need a mood lifter
    Everybody need reverse polarity

    Everybody got mixed feelings
About the function and the form
    Everybody got to deviate
    From the norm

Look at the creepy kids drawing at 2:56 into this video:

    "Nobody cares work harder!"

Wtf is that about? Reminds me of the time someone posted an urban exploration photoshoot of this abandoned mental asylum and there were kids drawings and one of them said something like 'they took my brain' or something like that (can't remember exactly now but it was super creepy.) I think sometimes people plant that kind of thing though.

That kid probably needs help especially if it's an actual kid and not a teenager but the real question is why did they put that up in the background?

Also the woman who's like 'I can do this, I can do that' really does just sound like this she's doing a remix of this song (and the message of this song also kind of fits lol.)

the sub hundred pound five foot AAP waif who put me in my first dress married a feeder a couple years later and now my brain thinks feederism is getting cucked by food
Lol the things people post now. Imagine trying to explain any of this to a Victorian child. I mean you wouldn't want to explain this to a child obviously.

But you didn't have to specify five foot. All 'AAP's' are sub five foot three.

No not literally all but yes.

like 70% of people who say 'i like masculine women and feminine men' actually just like masculine women and feminine women
60% of the time in practice its "i like masculine women and pre-ordering women" possibly by people not even realizing it
gender nonconformity in "men" is so often a subversion of manhood itself. is a man feminine because that is his preferred expression? or is she feminine because she?s aware that it disqualifies her from manhood and revels in that?
"i feel most punk rock when i put on eyeliner in the men's truck stop bathroom because i know they hate me, i know i piss them off, and that separation from other men feels *good*" says the woman who doesn?t know it yet
    Nope.

I always thought I'd be more into wearing makeup if I had more masculine facial features. In an alternative kind of way. In reality I'd probably be just as lazy about everything as I have been since I became a hermit. I've never really worn makeup (maybe 5 occasions ever,) but I did used to put more effort into aesthetics in general. It seems like an expensive habit too though buying stuff buying clothes/makeup/accesories. I've been procrastinating on buying sword/dagger earings for actual years now. They are no longer in fashion I think but that's ideal. They seemed to be several years ago.

I'm not really attracted to femininity but androgynous men are hot 10/10
I am but I also really like this genre:

Although I am also attracted to him as a girl since he posted a genderswapped image to Porcupine Tree's twitter:

And then I was also attracted to someone who looked a bit like him (which was how I got into his music,) and that person much later came out as non-binary.

    So basically this means nothing.

    But [BEEP] you.

He apparently has a trans cousin actually. Mentioned in autobiography.

I would like this genre but this guy is some far right Nick Fuentes supporter it seems. Along with half the guys and sometimes trans people who look like this now. Though with everyone just being ironic and insincere all the time if not government agents it's hard to say wtf that means. So it puts me off a lot and this video is somewhere between performance art and a mental breakdown as I said yesterday in the post I removed. The vibes (not just in this video,) are just terrible and intimidating at the same time to the point where it basically ruins everything but physically he's cute:

He screams in random parts of the video.

"Whoever you are I probably won't like you and if you found out enough about me you probably wouldn't like me either so we're on even ground right now. But I am cute. You can't lie I am cute."

    Yeah.

This guy is trans/queer though as he keeps talking about monster energy drinks.

    No I'm joking. It's a joke. He's not trans. He's a government agent/psyop.

I'm sure he knows because he points out at one point in the video that a lot of hot girls drink white monster energy drinks.

I keep seeing memes about how much transgender people like Monster? Why? Is it just an absurdist joke or is there something deeper to it?
It's just a subculture thing. A lot of younger trans girls (especially the ones who spend a lot of time online) are into gaming, anime, programming, and other stuff. Some things just catch on.

It's kinda like how musicals are part of gay culture, but less engrained than that.
monster energy drinks are pretty much a general [BEEP] thing, very popular with trans men and women, enbies and lesbians in particular
I don't know why but that stereotype totally holds up ime
So every one who isn't a cis man? Lol.

I drank a monster energy drink once while in uni so I could see if it helped staying up to get work done in 2009/2010 (and in that kind of subcultural group actually I guess. I was studying a game dev related degree.) Didn't care for it.

Futch guys are my favorite kind of guys
That's one of my favourite genders. They have to have long hair though. Otherwise it won't work at all.

They don't really like masc women either they just like muscular women
    No it's the opposite.

I think I watched on episode of this show maybe? Can't remember. I watched a bunch of the show that this show is a spin off of but I could tell this was going to be worse and not my thing. Didn't know she was on the show though.

But I know the people they're talking about and yeah they're just into muscles lol.

Tbf I'm not into masculine women either if you mean physical appearence, just androgynous and not very often.

I think what is recognized less is that when these types say "masculine women" they absolutely do not mean it. They want somewhat muscular women and will freak out at anything beyond that.
    biphobia but woke
    Kinda.

Okay but in my case I like masculine women and feminine men and women.

And conventionally masculine guys if they fit the pathetic quota. If you have this tendency as a bisexual woman date women please!
    ???

Tfw your ex liked feminine men but apparently did not like masculine women, or any women at all... and you had thought you being her girlfriend was on preorder but she canceled before the preorder got filled 😭
Even if you're into both you might not be attracted to your partner after they transistion for various reasons.

Can we get an Arcane but yaoi I feel there's not enough yaoi in the world
I don't know why people are so pissed about this tweet. He obviously wasn't saying he wanted Arcane to change just wants something else similar but with yaoi. I also say this as someone who keeps trying to find fanfics for various pairings and failing miserably. Including Samantha/Charlotte from Sex and the City not long ago... The older I get the less common what I'm looking for is lol.

notice how the fujoshi is described creating their sustenance while the himejoshi only seeks it out and puts in no work. even in their writing the himejoshi cannot imagine creating anything
My people are foolish and must gain the light of knowledge
it is imperative you teach your people to pick up the pen. for the good of all
Hey look I agree. There's just always less people involved (except for JJ/Prentiss fanfiction. Everyone seems to have written fanfic for that pairing.) I wrote this earlier lol (the last line being most relevant):

I go through two or three audiobooks a week at my job and when I take a break from scfi and thrillers, I love a romcom.

But I can't find any that are like my relationship. My wife is trans and I'm cis and I can't find a darn thing.

I found books with transfemme leads who end up with either a cis guy or a trans guy. I found books with nb/f relationships. And lots of f/f books with two cis women.

But I want one like my relationship. Just one.

    Any recommendations?

I think I looked for one with a trans woman and a non-binary person a few years ago and couldn't find anything, and also looked for that combination and couldn't. So it seems very rare.

This is extremely rare. I won't share my thoughts on why here, but yeah.

    Anyway, I'm writing one!

    Lol you should.

I read a ton of sapphic fiction, as a reviewer and a writer, and I don't think you will find a sapphic trans woman-centred novel within traditional publishing. Maybe there are some obscure self-published works, I dunno
    Strange.

Been trying to find the same and it's honestly so depressing. My bestie and I both love romance novels. She is a cishet woman and she has a million books to choose from that includes her romantic preferences, and for me, a sapphic trans woman, I can barely find anything. It's really sad because we like going to the bookstore together and she often leaves with a romance novel and I never do. Have to do hours of research online, finding niche authors and while I have found a few it's still just sad to see how few there are and how difficult they are to find. Most of the time I just read lesbian romance novels were they never specify that they are cis and just headcanon them to be trans, but idk it's still not the same and inconsistencies often pop up because it becomes clear that the author only had cis women in mind. Shouldn't really be surprised tbh, being trans is being an eternally neglected outsider in so many ways, this sadly being one of them. Most people don't really think about us and those that do usually wants us dead

I wonder if there is stuff with two trans women? I've not stumbled on that either.

(I do mean romance. Obviously there is random erotica I could probably find on literotica or something, and audio porn stuff and visual porn that I don't watch.)

The closest thing is like fanfiction about two crossdressing anime characters from Fruits Basket I read as a teenager. Actually only one crossdressed all the time and passed as a woman (until the end in the cannon work where he gained the confidence to stop crossdressing which has to be my least favourite trope,) the other was just very androgynous and flamboyant with very long hair but I guess also crossdressed just less often.

And Princess Jellyfish where you have to squint (at least in the anime,) and again crossdressing guy who passes as a woman.

there are fanfics with female Loki I guess (not many) with female partners (very rare compared to m/m slash again,) my OTP is Loki/Darcy and was always looking for fem Loki stuff but finding very little also one thing isnt a romance really just a one chapter erotic fic where they have sex in a club bathroom which was pretty hot. But anyway Loki is a shape-shifting genderfluid alien who the rules of Human sex/etc dont apply to and kind of just written like a cis woman often anyway, or an androgynous guy or normie guy mostly depending on the fanfic.

I once read a Cloud/Sephiroth fanfic as a teenager where Cloud had a [BEEP] but wasn't explicitly said to be a trans guy. Lots of vague stuff like that back then. Still is probably.

I kind of headcannon Cloud as a trans guy. I think more people headcannon him as a transwoman. Obviously he's a cis guy but I just think his storyline of idolising other male characters, not living up to that and failing, and losing his identity and having to piece that together himself fits a certain trans masc experience well. Cloud is a very non-binary name though lol.

Anyway I'm sure sapphic stuff with trans characters must exist in manga or anime? I don't read/watch any these days so dunno though.

I've never sought out stuff with trans guy characters because erotic stuff I've stumbled on didn't work for me and I just assume it won't work well. I'm way pickier about m/m stuff these days too (for romance at least, I still read or listen to porn that includes that,) even though that made up most of what I read as a teenager. Like the only thing I've enjoyed recently was Spencer Reid/Langly fanfics. If one guy is really masculine in a stereotypical sense it won't work for me. I could never get into Loki/iron man or Loki/Thor I mean I also don't care for Loki/Thor because I prefer them to be brothers tbf.

There are no other Bishie characters to ship Loki with lol..... I saw some videos that shipped him with Thranduil from The Hobbit lmfao.

I did read some Doctor Strange/Loki fanfics for a bit because of that one scene in the 2017 film where he's like 'handle me?' I like that they both use magic as well. It makes it more gay no lol but maybe.

I'm joking but also kind of not the best Loki/Darcy stuff was also where they are friends and there's 'less of a gap' ? It's less heteronornative in some ways basically but also not common. I read one series like that and Loki's also female occasionally.

Yep now I'm just talking about unrelated fanfiction. Can't believe I couldn't find more Charlotte/Samantha fanfiction from Sex and The City. Nothing I like exists.

I should look for fiction with nerdy characters though sometime while being less lazy. Good idea universe.

Obviously I wanted to find Isha/Slaanesh fanfiction too. I've said so many times. I headcannon Slaanesh as non-binary though. Couldn't find that either. Fml. I mean prob for the best it would be a very fucked up pairing but in a world where there are fanfics about Freddy Krueger why can't a chaos God absorb almost an entire species and abduct an eldar goddess for weird sex games? Has to be more fun than what she's doing with Nurgle. 🙄

Pfft Nurgle. He's no fun at all.

Slaanesh would be fun to roleplay as yes.

Ohh I think I found something from this year. Its not a pairing fic though just a fic about the fall of the Aeldari called 'The Fall' on AO3. I assume this will be more or less cannonical with no relationship/sexual stuff.

the shadow coalesced and solidified into a great serpent, the scales of its enormous head dripping with the sins of the Eldar as it rose from the Sea of Souls to loom over the dying Isle. It was long enough to wrap around worlds, with scales glittering like amethyst and enormous golden eyes with slitted pupils.

    That's so aesthetic.

    Nurgle.

Isha swallowed as Nurgle landed on the rubble, leering her at her.

"Beloved," The crow crooned. "Come with me. Let us go away from here. I will keep you safe in my garden."

"I would rather die." Isha spat.

"You will die if you don't come with me, beloved" Nurgle answered in what would have been a patient way if his voice wasn?t like acid pouring into her veins. "I-"

    "NO !"

For the first time the serpent spoke, all its heads roaring as one.

    "SHE IS MINE!"

The crow cawed back, displeased. "Quiet, brat. I've had a claim on my beloved since before you were the echo of an idea.
    "Now, where is Mother?"

Isha, who had been trying to use the distraction to slip away, froze as the attention of all four Chaos Gods turned to her, even as a shudder of revulsion and rage went through her at the abomination referring to her as mother.

Nurgle made a noise of disappointment. "Beloved, please. Come with me, it?s for your good. I can protect you from this foolish child of yours."
Morphing back into her Aeldari form, Isha sprinted towards the sun, Isha let the remnants of her power flow out behind her, creating a massive forest with each step, wild and massive and fey, full of dangers that might halt the horde chasing after her for just a moment.
    Thats cool too.

I guess this sort of thing is probably as close as I'm going to get lol. I feel like Slaanesh is not too far removed from Marvel Loki conceptually who is much more popular. There are also fanfics about cenobites, Pinhead etc. People are sleeping on this. Then again people only really like Tom Hiddleston's Loki.

I should write something myself but I'm not that familiar at all with the source material so would have to read a bunch more.

Me when I just have bad taste: Clearly everyone is sleeping on this. LOL.

edit: Parts of this fanfic I started skimreading are now the closest:

Slaanesh was delighted to see Isha. So much time lost between them. After Sanguinius's apotheosis, she intended to try and convince him to let her have the eldar goddess as a plaything. For now however, she had to soulbind Isha. As she pounced on the struggling goddess, Nurgle entered his home. She considered grabbing Sanguinius and running, until the angel's voice rang out "Keep doing what your doing, and finish the process." He said, forcing her to continue trying to bind the struggling goddess. Eventually she had her arms pinned at her sides straddling her, and began the process of soul binding, which took far longer with the target resisting.
After that the fanfic got very gross for a bit lol because of Nurgle attacking Sanguinius.

Sanguinius stepped through onto the sands of Baal dragging the two goddesses. He then picked them up underneath his arms and flew off towards his fortress monastery. On the way there Sanguinius said to Slaanesh "Do not try to corrupt anyone. Do not do anything corruptive. You can torture any eldar we find however you want, but beyond that, do nothing untoward."

Isha tensed as he spoke. Sanguinius then said "Isha is the exception. Do nothing to her specifically unless you are told to by me or the Empress or given permission by her."

    Slaanesh slumped in disappointment.
    aww lol.

Walking up to her companion, Slaanesh said "As powerful as we are, you don't really need armor."

Isha groaned with disgust. "Unlike you, I have some semblance of modesty." She said venomously.

Slaanesh recoiled in mock hurt. "How cruel, I thought we were becoming friends." She said with false sadness.

I saw this video of an elephant pretending to eat a guy's hat:

Apparently a bunch will do that:

Elephant has a sense of humor. It's incredible!
As cool as that would be it's more likely training. The deer in nara will bow for crackers:

Oh I forgot about this track. I listened to it bunch a long time ago (maybe a decade or more ago.) Pretty sure this isn't about the deer lol. It's part of the soundtrack of something I forget what though:

Oh no it is about the city lol. OK.

In keeping with the theme of "all things past", each of the thirteen tracks on the album is named after an ancient city, most of which have been abandoned or destroyed, though Cuzco, Nara, Isfahan, and Estremoz still survive to this day.
Probably should have been obvious because of the flute part but yeah.

Well it's still not about the deer though.

It's used on Cold Case right. I never watched that show. I just knew for some reason lol.

There was another track I liked by them too. This one:

Was looking for this song (it actually does reference the deer lol):

Today in "I rarely bother to watch new TV shows/films/play video games and I'm too lazy to put more effort into searching so I can't find a new ship to get into now that I'm old (tm)"

I started reading this reddit discussion about why yuri so unpopular.

I have been binging quite a handful of Yuri shows that do not have a clear intended demographic, unlike male homosexual romances(BL) that are targeted toward women. Even after checking Myanimelist statistics on the number of Yuri anime that have been made, it has the lowest out of any genre in anime.
This is because there is a big gap between BL that is aimed at straight women vs aimed at gay men, which doesn't exist in GL. The biggest Yuri manga magazine, Comic Yuri Hime, had two magazines for men and women (Seinen and Shoujo) until they merged into one magazine because both of the magazines had the same readership.
Sorta? Or rather, manga specifically targeted at gay men isn't "BL," it's geikomi. Meanwhile, gay men do read BL as well. (Also, many women who read BL are not heterosexual.)
I don't really like the hyper neotenous art style of a lot of what I've seen in yuri (I always joke that anime guys look like teenagers, maybe young adult males and anime girls look like children....)

This seems like a typical example of the art style of yuri that I stumble on:

It's also not just about the appearence it's the issue where I assume these female characters are going to sound like this:

Instead of this (yes the limbs are ridiculous):

I haven't watched this anime but why does this adult sorceress have what appears to be two pre-puberty girls working as her assistants?

    Lol:

I'm really not into extremes. Goldilocks sexuality.

I saw people bring up this anime 'Bloom Into You' a bunch in this thread and that was the first image I saw (which was offputting but it's possible it works better animated):

I think people (who are not lesbians) just assume it is not aimed at them so they won't watch it. I know I used to think like that until I read Otherside Picnic and absolutely loved it (including the romance part) and then started watching or reading other yuri anime or light novels like Adachi and Shimamura, Lycoris Recoil, Gundam Witch, Birdie Wing, and Magical Revolution. But yuri seems to be getting pretty popular in Japan since the mainstream success of Bloom into You. However, that is still not the case in the West.
My opinion is because Yuri is generally bad. Except for "Bloom into you" no show I tried was able to deliver "girls in love" experience I longed for. Most of the shows just normalized it: e.g. "I am in love with villainess" is entertaining, but empty romance-wise.
Bloom Into You (Japanese: やがて君になる, Hepburn: Yagate Kimi ni Naru, lit. Eventually, Becoming You)[3] is a Japanese yuri manga series written and illustrated by Nio Nakatani.[4] The manga began serialization in the Japanese monthly shōnen manga magazine Dengeki Daioh[5] on April 27, 2015,[6] and ended on September 27, 2019.[7] The story follows two female high school students, Yuu Koito and Touko Nanami, and the relationship that develops between them as they learn more about themselves through their experiences together.
(This bolded part here is going to be a recurring issue for me in this post lol.)

But on that note this is quite weird because in the West at least there are notably distinct differences between the preferences of [BEEP] women and men - with a bunch of overlap.

It doesn't really make much sense that BL would be distinct but GL isn't in terms of consumers. Its also weird that the splitting of the audience and existence of heterosexual romance still doesn't result in BL being less popular.

In Western fanfiction I would actually say gay male (slash) ships in romance are more popular than heterosexual stuff in most fandoms.

And having thought about this I think part of it is that BL has become more of a bisexual female thing at least among Western fans just like the fanfic writers on AO3, so they cater to the androgyny preference a lot (though I've heard this is changing a bit in newer works. I don't watch/read any. I have done a small amount but it's been a really long time now like well over a decade.) In a lot of surveys on Westerners at least, bisexual (and non-heterosexual in general,) women seem to be overrepresented compared to in society in general, and then I read somewhere once that a lot of the guys who watch/read BL stuff ID as straight lol. Might have just been one survey though.

Here's a variety of people's experiences in a thread I found so you see how diverse it gets:

ive found there's a small but noticeable amount of bl fans that are trans women (like myself, and my girlfriend)- the majority of which are bi or lesbian.
A local BL bookstore opened where I'm from. I spoke to the owner and she said that straight girls AND gay guys come to the shop, and the proportion is about 50/50. It is definitely not exclusively for straight women.
I think it's different from country to country. My impression is that in Asian countries it's mostly straight women while in the western world it's also some [BEEP] people.
Ok in answering this, I chose female who likes men, because I'm a late 40's married woman.

HOWEVER, and this is a discussion my husband and I have on the reg, because he knows my obsession with BL shows / comics... I low key wish I could snap my fingers and be a man for a while, so I could top some little bottoms. Is that weird? Is it just me? Like, I legit wish I could have a penis of my own so I could see what it's like. So, I guess I still fit the female who likes men category, I'm just a woman who is married to one who also sort of wishes she was one so she could like men in a whole different way. I don't think I'm trans or have proper gender identity issues, it's just a big time fantasy. Ladies, tell me is it just me?!
I am exactly like you. Female 41 married. My husband knows I like BLs. I too sometimes wish I could have a penis and make love to these beautiful bottoms.
Are you me? Because I've definitely gone through all that mental back and forth and landed on the same dreams.

The only difference is I'm bi. And if I was a guy for a while, I'd want to still be bi. I want to experience all the people's while having a penis.
I'm nonbinary is this is partly why. I definitely fantasize about being a male top with my own penis. I can achieve some of that, but sadly, I haven't gained the magical ability to grow a real penis.
I think that's pretty common for women who consume slash/BL etc though not always talked about. Most people assume that women who consume BL stuff self insert as the bottom when actually a lot self insert as both, neither (voyeurism,) or the top more often. I've noticed recently that there's been a very tiny increase in heterosexual fanfics with strap on sex from non existant when I was younger in the 2000s to 'appearing now and then' (like I recently was looking up Wuthering Heights fanfics and one of those fanfics had strap on sex it was unsuprisingly not fanfic of the actual book though but some Japanese video game with characters based on the book, same thing with Hannibal fanfics a while ago with Clarise and Hannibal when I was looking there was one with strap on sex, and Loki is genderfluid but there was a fanfic where he was basically a crossdressing guy having relationships with male characters but also Darcy a female character and that included strap on sex. I read that in maybe 2017 or so,) which is probably a good development ultimately though it's still rare.

I got twig and berries. 🙋🏽*♂️

My core group of friends who watch BL (7 people including me)

    3 girls 4 guys

The 3 girls identify as straight

1 guy is straight, 1 gay guy 2 bi guys including me

Based on how BL is marketed, the product promotions, the fan service and how they present the males through imagery I think they know their audience is dominated by females. Regardless of orientation.
    Rant ahead:

I think the "by straight women for straight women" mantra of BL is a myth. It looks good as a catch phrase in shallow articles exploring BL as a trend, which is why it gets repeated to this day. But BL has been written and enjoyed by a lot of people who aren't straight from the inception to this day. And the visibility of LGBTQ+ creators and consumers has been growing rapidly as LGBTQ+ people gain more acceptance. It's high time to throw that outdated and simply incorrect mantra in the garbage can where it belongs.

Among all the BL loving people I've met during the last 20 years or so, there's a noticeably larger than usual amount of bisexual and lesbian women, gay and bisexual men, trans men, trans women, nonbinary and genderfluid people, etc etc. I've had several instances of female friends who cosplay their favourite shipping couples or write fanfic together and then fall in love with each other. BL made us friends because it spoke to us on a personal level, with stories that actually had a strong connection to our lives.

I've been asked so many, many times - mostly by (presumably) straight men why I enjoy watching BL and LGBTQ+ stories, as if I'm some kind of curiosity. I've been interviewed by a researcher about it. I've been laughed at because of it behind my back and told about it afterwards. Honestly, I can't even count many time I've just wanted to just tell those people that I'm not f*cking straight so why is it so hilarious that I'd be into the idea of a same-sex romance? I didn't, because I don't owe these people any explanation. So I don't blame any BL fan who keeps their LGBTQ+ status under wraps.

Anyways, straight cis women are always going to be a major part of BL fandom and I love that we all love the same thing, but I think it's time to throw away the notion that LGBTQ+ people are a recent addition or a tiny percentage of the fandom.
A small minority of BL and slash fanfiction (Western stuff) fans also seem to identify as lesbians. Date women irl.

One issue with reddit polls is you can only include 6 options (twitter is even worse with just 4,) means you can't seperate both gender and sexuality properly:

I guess bisexuals don?t exist lol
    Invisible as always
I don't know why they're being downvoted for pointing out the invisibility. This poll is almost useless for my current purposes except to show that there really is for whatever reason a sizeable minority of women who aren't attracted to men at all who consume this.

(Also not sure what's going on with that teacher since the stereotype is that it's mostly straight women into BL not gay men lol.)

And as revealed in a recent post I created the fact that straight and bisexual women don't have identical preferences in men on average (though there is overlap,) is creating issues as some men assume all women are into very feminine guys who look like women and that all women are into trans women and 'feminine gay men.' I put that in scare quotes because I'm sure most of the time it's not important for them to be gay in an orientation/identity sense. In fact that would be undesireable as they wouldn't date them. I think they're just looking for certain personality and physical traits and sexual activities.

    Also:

    I mean, I'm a woman who likes men...but I don't like men.
I think using the word 'like' there might have been less than ideal lol.

The number of writers and readers is only an estimate but a 2022 survey of 5,000 users of AO3 found that m/m slash was the most popular story focus, with 26% of respondents reading slashfic. The majority of these readers and writers were cis women: Of the survey's 5,000 respondents, 53.77% were cisgender women, 13.43% were nonbinary people and 8.94% were transgender (cis men made up just 5.39% of respondents). Fans and creators of slash are also, like many slash ships, often white: 77.9% of survey respondents who answered the question identified as such. (Slash pairings from popular properties in English can be overwhelmingly white, a phenomenon known as Two White Guys; other cultures have different but slash-like fiction such as yaoi, also known as Boys' Love or BL, in Japanese manga and anime.)
But while cis women are, as Stanfill puts it, "a significant center of gravity in the slash population," a notable proportion of respondents to that same 2022 survey were queer: only 13.92% identified as straight or heterosexual, with the highest percentage of respondents identifying as bisexual (24.83%).
Suzuki notes that "demographic analyses of BL media are underdeveloped and thus much needed in yaoi/BL studies,"[204] but acknowledges that "the overwhelming majority of BL readers are women."[204] 80% of the BL audience is female,[205][206] while the membership of Yaoi-Con, a now-defunct American yaoi convention, was 85% female.[207] It is usually assumed that all female fans are heterosexual, but in Japan there is a presence of lesbian manga authors[18] and lesbian, bisexual or questioning female readers.[208] A 2008 survey of English-speaking readers of BL indicated that 50-60% of female readers self-identify as heterosexual.[209]
Shihomi Sakakibara (1998) argued that yaoi fans, including himself, were homosexually oriented female-to-male transgender people.[44]
Patrick Galbraith suggests that androgynous beautiful boys contribute to the appeal of yaoi amongst women who are heterosexual, lesbian or transgender.[45]
I know there are some bisexual trans women who have read similar stuff or watched it before coming out but anecdotally their tastes tend to run more feminine and neotenic than the norm when I look at the art work they retweet.

Of course there's a big difference between Western slash and BL too stylistically and in terms of gender roles for the most part. Then the overlap in fanfiction. So these are sort of distinct but overlapping.

Although the English-speaking online yaoi fandom is observed to increasingly overlap with online slash fandom,[61] slash fiction has portrayed adult males, whereas yaoi follows the aesthetic of the beautiful boy, often highlighting their youth. Mark McLelland describes this aesthetic as being seen as problematic in recent Western society.[21] Yaoi fans tend to be younger than slash fans, and so are less shocked about depictions of underage sexuality.[17] Jessica Bauwens-Sugimoto detects a tendency in both yaoi and slash fandoms to disparage the others' heteronormativity, potential for subversiveness or even the potential for enjoyment.[33]
Bolded is relevant to a lot of what I discuss later in this post too.

Another aspect is that for whatever reason guys who find femboys or even in some cases androgyny attractive and prefer to top identify as straight a lot of the time and others consider them to be too and 'not real bisexuals.' This is only true of cis men though. If a woman or trans guy is attracted to femboys she's also straight/gay (depending on whether the trans guy is considered a guy or not.) And everyone incorrectly assumes trans guys (afab people in general,) are bottoms because of femininity/androgyny/genitals. Only very masculine cis men can be tops.

    *chucks phone out of window*

    MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

Yuri stuff tends to on average have a fairly even readership. Most of the big yuri mags report a 50/50 male/female readership. It depends a lot on the series, though.

For instance, despite how people talk about it, Citrus had branded tampons, so I'm gonna assume that one was a majority female fanbase.

As for why it isn't like BL, where the fanbase is mostly women, I think it's kind of about gendered stereotypes. The main market for romance series is stereotypically women, and as genres defined by the specific romance taking place, both BL and yuri tend to attract women. You can have a yuri or BL series with a plot going on besides the romance, but the romance is still going to be a main focus. You can't really have a Yuri series with no romance at all, because otherwise what's making it yuri, you know?

Combine that with the fact that both the yuri and BL genres grew out of shoujo and josei manga, so stylistically they tend to have shoujo trappings, both in terms of art and subject matter.

Despite that, there's still some yuri series that do have a more seinen flavor to them, like Murcielago. That said, given that series' very dark humor, it's unlikely to ever get an anime.
Why is it 50/50 if it mostly attracts women though? Bit weird.

Is this new data too I wonder.

When I think about the kind of dynamics I like its never cannon, popular or there's something else blocking me... Like this:

I don't want to read fanfiction about this pairing because they are high school students (albeit played by actors in their 20s once again,) and I'm 33 but I like the dark/light dynamic a lot.

They're not cannon. A lot of people just ship them I noticed and I think its been acknowledged by cast members. A lot of people also find that annoying and don't get it. As with anything really.

There's also a whole genre of people especially men who get pissed off by the 'sexualisation if friends' though honestly Wednesday and Enid aren't even friends exactly. Hahaha they're literally roomates.

I think their dynamic is cute though and I somewhat can identify with Wednesday because of my own avoidance and interest in dark stuff. And being compared to her in an insulting way when I was in school... (She was not cool back then I guess.)

    I also read this:

The thing is, and this is conjecture based on interviews, it's both.

For the writers it was accidental subtext. They really wanted to have a love triangle between Wednesday, Xavier, and Tyler. They wanted that to be the romantic focus.

But Jenna Ortega hated that idea, and she actively worked to sabotage it in her performance.

On top of that, she and Emma Myers seem to have decided very early (and I mean VERY early on) that they wanted to play up romantic tension between the two roommates. Look at Enid's wink in episode two ("or just stand on the sidelines, glaring"). That's flirty as fuck.

The actresses were working overtime to make it text.

It seems like at a certain point at least one of the writers/directors just gave up and decided to run with it, but I don't think everyone in control is on board.

So at the end of the day, it comes down to whose competing idea you want to consider valid, and what your metric for that is.
I don't think they were playing that up afaik, but I do remember her saying I think that she wasn't keen on the love triangle thing and thought it didn't work for Wednesday's character.

I do like the Sherlock Holmes thing as well.

Anyway there seems to be a similar 'issue' with GL too - the prevalance of high school romance. I mean it's not an issue really if there's an alternative medium aimed at you. Someone commented this:

I'm a lesbian, so I can't speak for why men don't love GLs, but I would love for their to be more and better GLs out there.

An issue I have with many of the ones that exist, is that they are often stuck in the adolescent phase of "is it even okay to like girls?" It's so innocent that it feels like it's for children (which, I know some are for children but it's hard to find any for adults). I want women who know what they want - like Vi from arcane.

To this end, I would love to see more yuri with adult women, grappling with the relationship issues of adults. What about commitment issues, or dealing with past hang ups and traumas, or living into yourself outside of safe [BEEP] spaces?

The gays I know want to feel powerful. They want to live into being unencumbered and unashamed of their wants and desires. Many women in yuris seem, to my eye, to be portrayed more for the male gaze than for the lesbian gaze. By this I mean, the women and girls feel childlike. Many are afraid to be themselves. Even the more "forward" one who is making all the advances will devolve into a timid girl when the object of their interest reciprocates.

It's like the people creating the GLs have never been around lesbians.
Well remember they're lesbian stories in Japan. Japan is nowhere near as progressive as the west for LGBT. The reason why "is this okay" is such a big part of the stories is cause it's something LGBT Japanese still have to deal with.

The stories reflect the culture they're coming from.
Yeah, and I'm aware of that fact. But that being said, it could still be more adult (by which I mean mature and not sexual). Plenty of older women question their sexuality too. If we are already making GLs then it doesn't have to be exclusively girls and teenagers questioning.
Because you know you hit a certain age and it just feels weird and creepy to be reading it. I'm a very creepy and weird person it's sort of unavoidable for me but it seems like this could be avoidable if there were just older characters with similar dynamics in more stuff...

It can be hard enough getting straight anime romances that aren't about teenagers.
Yeah seems to be an anime thing in general really.

I liked Princess Jellyfish though I started watching it in my early 20s and then finally decided to finish it a few years ago. Cause at least they have left high school lol and the NEET hermit thing was naturally relatable for me too. All the characters are either unemployed, underemployed, or 'don't have real jobs.' Not much like this in the West. Also the main character being kind of attracted to this crossdressing androgynous guy (or it's easy to project that, I think it's more of a thing in the manga.) Again relatable.

I wasn't super keen on how, like in lots of Western stuff, they forced the characters to get makeovers to be hyperfemme. I appreciate that they at least gave a reason for this though most of the time so it was more like Cloud crossdressing in FFVII than just "every girl must look this way because it is said so." Comparing it at one point to armour you use to achieve specific goals. And it was more ambivalent about this than seen as just 'a good thing.' It's also balanced out more by there being a 'regular guy' character who pops up a bunch and obviously the main male character you see also being a crossdresser and Spoiler: becoming a model for another character who designs Jellyfish clothing. Like the female characters aren't really treated as visual objects as much as in Western stuff.

And I am quite allergic to this trope lol:

So it wasn't ideal, but I think it's handled better than in eg: The Breakfast Club movie, or The Princess Diaries.

I don't know if I posted about this before (don't think I did) but I can't believe he got to interview Tori Amos on his channel. That's a huge deal. Also interviewed Steven Wilson before twice I think which is really cool. I still need to watch most of this though:

I listened to the first song ("Baker Baker") a month ago and started crying after like 30 seconds haha.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIsXdEw1hIU

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmk0AVNRBIY

I was reading this Wolf Alice interview and thought about her:

Recently, she was invited back to her old school to judge a Battle of the Bands competition. Judging by the frown on her face as she relates this, she wasn't much impressed. "There was a lot of singing at the piano, the occasional ukelele. I wanted to go up to these girls and say: why don't you pick up the guitar? Give it a try, you might enjoy it."

And so why does she feel that girls gravitate more towards pop than rock? She shrugs. "I really don't know. Not enough role models, perhaps? Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly comfortable in the company of men, but it would be good if there were more of us around."
Were they good at playing the piano? Or the ukelele? We just don't know. Because they weren't playing the guitar.

She's playing a piano and a keyboard at the same time:

I find this attitude pretty frustrating because it's sort of like well how she was also complaining about women playing bass:

"I often wonder why girls who do get into music tend to be just singers, or else play the piano," she says. "And if they do pull on a guitar, why is it more likely to be the bass? Why not lead?"
"Men don't do this as often therefor it's bad/worthless. Everyone must do what men do." It's very toxic. Like some of the most insufferable people known to mankind... Middle aged male Rush fans:

The vast majority of chicks don't have good taste in music.
The last Rush Concert I went to, I can remember if it was Clockwork Angels or R40, I think R40, but anyway, there were about 38-42% females, including my beautiful wife.

It's just kind of become an inside joke with the band, especially in the early years, when their song themes were things like Dystopian Priest holding a world hostage or a man seeking immortality, only to find living forever sucks and he wishes for an end, or a Necromancer holding three men of Willowddale hostage in labyrinth with magic prism eyes..

These are really:not the kind of themes most women go for in music, so their female crowd was very thin back then. As Rush broadened their themes and dealt with relationships and not just men and women, but other human condition relationships, the female audience has grown.

Unfortunately, there is no more Rush or their female audience may have reached 50%? We'll never know?

It just an inside joke for many years, so don't take it too seriously. I've seen comments from a lot of women saying, "Hey, I like Rush and have gone to concerts for years.".

Then I tell them they're in a minority, just like women that like Monty Python comedy. Had one woman keep arguing that just as many women like Monty Python, which isn't really true, maybe just where she lived, but Monty Python has also been an inside joke for years that most women don't get the humor at all.

I've seen it. My wife loves MP, but we watched her sister through the entire Holy Grail movie and she not only didn't laugh, she actually thought it was in poor taste, like the Black Knight, who cracked my wife up, so she was excited to show her sister, but her sister thought it gross and n bad taste.

She certainly has a different sense of humors than my wife. In reality, her sister has a normal female sense of humor, (when looking at popularity) my wife is in a more rare female comedy audience and likes male humor,.

There is a difference, between men and women's taste in comedy and music. More men like Metal, but more women like Pop music. Not so many men there, at least over 18-20.

He had to die because he was making the bass guitar seem too cool.

I really like the bass during the chorus of this song:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auLBLk4ibAk

    Oh no look!

We're going to have to steal her bass now. You can't play that sorry. The council has decided there are too many female bassists now.

    You know what I mean?

I don't know if anyone bothers to keep track of what instruments men are choosing to play except to note which one has the least women - because that instrument is automatically the best. No one seems to care that there aren't more male nurses either.

    Or more importantly !!!

Guys with really long hair and glasses who have a pet rabbit and hang out or work in the library. They could just work in a garden centre or doing something else with plants but hang out in the library too. I'm flexible. Probably need to be poetic.

Another explanation connects to supply and demand. It would seem that there would be more bass players available because it?s an "easy" instrument to play. However, Clawson found that bass players were in high demand but short supply. One player confirmed this, telling her that "the day I got my bass, I was in two bands."

Moreover, the lead guitar is usually seen as the star of the show, while the bass only lends support, another reason why it has been feminized, Clawson notes.
    Wow I wonder why.

So when I was a teenager I started teaching myself to play guitar, and then this girl at school heard that I was teaching myself to play guitar and asked me to teach her so for a while we'd sometimes play together and then with this boy who lived near by who she started dating later who well guess what instrument he was playing.... Guitar.

    Too many cooks.

A 2018 study found that women make up 50 percent of "beginner and aspirational guitar players." And while that might have seemed surprising at the time, maybe it was really a return to roots, to a time when the guitar was seen as a women's instrument. Though there may be a rise in the number of women buying and playing guitar today, there's a history of a disproportionate number of women bass guitar players, specifically in rock. As music historian Steve Waksman noted in a 2020 essay, "Much more so than either the drums or the electric guitar, women have filled the bass player's role in rock."
So basically, in other words, there are a lot. They just don't continue with it over time to a professional level.

Clawson found that many saw the bass as requiring less skill than other instruments.

"At least one male guitarist expressed a view of the bass as 'the easiest to play well,'" she notes. And many of those she interviewed "assumed that ease of learning would be especially important for women."
I think this is probably bs. If it was easy to play well there would be more stand out bassists. I think it's just a forgiving instrument to play at a basic level. That doesn't mean it's easy to play well. The bass on this track is great:

Flea is a pretty great bassist but you see what he's up against:

It seems like an absolutely toxic way of viewing music and probably one of the many reasons why there are no bands anymore.

And I like some Wolf Alice songs but honestly I'd take Tori over her anyday. In terms of being a role model for playing guitar she didn't really make it obvious in music videos that she even plays guitar so I honestly didn't even know until seeing live footage and some live footage I saw of them was not the best unfortunately vocally from what I remember. When I think of female guitarists I'd think of like Kaki King, or Marissa Paternoster.

There are also of course women who play piano in rock bands like Amanda Palmer, and Amy Lee. So that's not mutually exclusive either.

A stray cat I've never seen before just walked over and sat by me while I cry, maybe the universe is telling me it will be okay
She's cute so my brain was lowkey trying to find a way to dislike her cause of my current mood but that is cute.

I eat my gfs pussy, I'm lesbian, I don't have a pussy, she's still lesbian, eating [BEEP] is usually a lesbian activity, even tho the occasional straight guy does and and it can happen to trans men, holy [BEEP] that person is dense
    That's very sweet of you.

    "Thank you for your service."

    Lol no.

I'm non-binary and not a lesbian or straight but I'm not giving or recieving anyway lol. I hear some non-binary and bisexual people take part in 'lesbian activities.'

i want a girl that gets turned on by how stupid i am, like gets all hot and bothered while im thinking through 13 + 19
jesus christ STOP LIKING THIS IF UR NOT GONNA FIND ME MY GIRL!!!!!
I'd suggest looking for someone with a bimbo kink.

80% of tweets I see now are basically just trans women who sometimes post cute/hot stuff and really annoying right wing male accounts.

It's basically a form of conversion therapy at this point ahahaha (a very weird kind.) Oh my god the [BEEP] basically every man on that site says. It's insane.

I predict we'll see a rise of right-wing cancellation mobs over the next five years
Maybe. But I'm very right wing and if it happens I and others like me will fight against that with every fiber of our being. You underestimate the love of the right for free speech.
This might make sense if there was some kind of equivalence between the right and left but there isn't. Unchecked leftism ultimately destroys the West and many explicitly state this as their goal. The right wants the very opposite. Let them be cancelled

Unchecked right wing ideology leads to genocidal behaviour where the weak are systemically purged from society. The group being purged will increase in size, demographic and traits over time as nothing but the best are allowed to remain and the standards will keep being set higher. Since it's unchecked nothing will ever be good enough or stop it until there's just one person left alive who will perhaps kill himself (will be a him because only hypermasculinity will remain at that point obviously.)

I do believe it could hypothetically get that far, but we've never gotten close to it before because of how civilisation and Human personalities work combined with the fact that the bias that stops most people killing women which is evolutionarily beneficial kind of conflicts somewhat with the direction this ideology moves in.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with what I'm using it for here but it really fits especially with the title 'A Smart Kid' as they are all obsessed with intelligence.

Find it annoying the people shouting out for Halo and Trains at the start. They are more than likely going to play those songs anyway. I would be thrilled to hear A Smart Kid.
Yeah. Well I've seen the best performance of Trains ever since it was next to literal trains that went by during the song during an outdoor concert. So at this point I'd prefer all kinds of songs as nothing will top that haha.

Additionally unchecked right wing ideology is simultaneously motivated by fear - and this is the part that can sometimes appeal to women more - but not just fear in general since both the left and right are motivated by fear (it's a common misconception that the right is more motivated by fear than the left and the left is actually more neurotic on average.) Specifically heightened threat sensitivity towards crime and violence and wanting spaces free from that and restricting freedom of people to get it. I stumbled on a guy like this just now and it seemed to be a trauma response in part for him. Though I don't consider this an excuse I think it's trauma + personality too not everyone responds the same.

And uh this song prob works well for this side of things maybe:

every System of a Down song is like--

i'm the mushroom man, i'm the mushroom man. oh ho! oh! oh! In June 2003, Amnesty International published reports of human rights abuses by the U.S. military and its coalition partners at detention centers and prisons in Iraq.[26] These inclu-
I think about this every time lol.

This is the most mushroom man song I think:

Europeans killed a lot of psychopathic people throughout history and they consider it a tradition they want to uphold in one form or another (right wing people that is.) While simultaneously often arguing in favour of psychopathic leadership. "Our psychopaths are good psychopaths." No I read a quote not unlike that hours ago lol. (It's debateable if anyone knows what psychopath means or if it means anything consistently.)

Witches are the exception to the rule about women too.

    That's why:

women who are proudly and openly right wing are messed up. It's like dating a dude.
Best are the witchy chicks that come to the right wing conclusions via a female thought process
Nope true witches are always liberals. It's a personality type.
    Stolen valour.

    Oxymoronic.

(yes it's funny that they can't handle themselves. That tweet was from a right wing guy and I often see right wing guys agreeing because they view politics as masculine and those women get lots of attention too which they dislike.)

This makes a lot more sense viewed through that lens:

Unironically agree, it's insane to me that conservative men want this.
They don't. They want a liberal woman they can break down and control.

    That's why they're so angry.
    "control"
    protect*
I also tend to percieve protection as control as often that's the form it comes in. Attempts to stop behaviour, discourage certain things. It's not that they want a relationship with a liberal woman though (that seems like some kind of ego flattering rationalisation lol.) I think this is more or less how liberal women are viewed. Edward Dutton (right wing,) came up with this story about witches himself:

"These new witches lived out in the open and were even celebrated. So many women were taken in by their spells: they behaved like men; they cared about careers more than children; they raised boys as girls. Even men listened to the witches. Our societies were feminized, though that didn't mean they became kinder and gentler. The persecuted became the persecutors, the judged became judges, the last came first. Everything was out of joint."
The archetype of the witch is burnt deep into the European psyche, recurring again and again in folklore and fairytales. But is the witch merely the stuff of fantasy? [...]

In witches, feminism and the fall of the west, Edward Dutton examines the history of witches and witch-hunting in light of evolutionary psychology. Throughout the centuries, witches were ostracized across Europe and often condemned and executed for sorcery and harming children. They generally adhered to a type: witches were low-status, anti-social and childless, and their very presence was viewed as poisonous to the community. Dutton demonstrates that witches did, in their way, represent a maladaptive mentality and behavior which undermined Europe's patriarchal system. When times got tough - that is when Europe got poorer or colder - the witches were persecuted with a vengence.
Of course there's just so many so they're attempting to rationalise that a minority are genetic witches and a lot of women were just 'brainwashed into being witches.'

But of course without context the extreme degree of distrust might seem over dramatic. But it might be almost akin to a genetic trauma response. Like how you can condition mice to be afraid of cherry blossoms:

Study finds that fear can travel quickly through generations of mice DNA

In the experiment, researchers taught male mice to fear the smell of cherry blossoms by associating the scent with mild foot shocks. Two weeks later, they bred with females. The resulting pups were raised to adulthood having never been exposed to the smell.

Yet when the critters caught a whiff of it for the first time, they suddenly became anxious and fearful. They were even born with more cherry-blossom-detecting neurons in their noses and more brain space devoted to cherry-blossom-smelling.

It also makes sense that Aella would be concerned as should she have been low status with her personality type she would very much have been burnt.

Oh some people might have individiual bad experiences with eg: men too but I think something else is going on that transcends that.

You know instead of just writing 423424 words before I should have just done this lol. Warning cause this first tweet I'm quoting is like a dark evo-psych theory for why a lot of women are turned on by male aggression. Also there are various other theories for that. I think the fact that fear/arousal are closely linked in the brain in the first place makes more sense. Lots of fetishes that have no evo-psych story like balloon and clown fetishes but do have corresponding phobias.

this is my top theory for why women are so sexually aroused by male aggression,Spoiler: violence, overpowering, rapeplay, etc. Women who weren't sexually and emotionally responsive to being kidnapped by violent raiders were less likely to survive and reproduce

I often feel like you can see ancient grief of our ancestors in the way gender and sex presents in our bodies. Men are bigger and stronger, because the men who weren't, died in ways that women didn't. Women are submissive and responsive because they had to be to survive.

you can make fun of women for being into 'bad boys' all you want, but keep in mind this is cause the women who were into 'nice boys' all fucking died
    Wow that's crazy.

I eat my gfs pussy, I'm lesbian, I don't have a pussy, she's still lesbian, eating [BEEP] is usually a lesbian activity, even tho the occasional straight guy does and and it can happen to trans men, holy [BEEP] that person is dense
Mother nature is not an abusive tyrant or a freewheeling hippie girl. Shes your fujo older sister forcing you to dress in her clothes and taking lots of embarrassing pictures to show everyone. But remember, she loves you

sacred motherhood? everyone knows mother nature's favorite is me. my awkward eunuch body, shoulders too wide fr a girl, hips like a bathhouse twink. im rolling over and exposing my tummy and panting eagerly, her little abomination of gender. im licking jouissance off her fingers
im a good boygirl loser for mommy nature and i have no shame. I cant even conceive of myself as beautiful or ugly theyre like foreign concepts in my childlike eunuch brain... deprived of dimorphic neuroticism .. pure puppy
Unfortunately I started reading something else. Someone posted this link to a site in response with a long essay about valkyries or whatever. I'm only skimreading it...

Indeed the definition of "Valkyrie" is "Chooser of the Slain".

You read that a lot researching this stuff. Amongst the flying variety this means picking the bravest and carrying off the souls of the fallen to Valhalla? but one can only read enough stories and long genealogies where very real living kings, with very real historical children, marry ?Valkyrie?, and they?re still said to "choose the dead" to suspect there?s a double meaning at play.

They killed the wounded. They tended the wounded and nursed them back to health? if they wanted them to live.

But men who crawled about and asked mercy like cowards? Men who shamed themselves? Men who just didn?t quite measure up? Enemies who didn?t do anything impressive to make them want to save them? Men who gave them "The Ick"!?

Well the British discovered in Afghanistan, you don?t want to fall into a foes hands, but you REALLY don?t want to fall into the hands of their women.

The Valkyrie fulfilled many roles in Germanic societies? most immediate was almost certainly Executioner.
I was reading a paper on female sadism earlier (before I stumbled on all the twitter stuff,) in criminal populations comparing them to male sadists and a few things stood out.

The researchers found that these female offenders engaged in acts characterized by severe pain and torture, a distinctive blend of psychological torture coupled with nurturing behaviors.
Furthermore, they observed that unlike typical profiles of sadistic offenders, these women displayed no cognitive distortions; instead, they maintained a belief that their victims were deserving of the inflicted suffering (Pflugradt & Allen, 2012).
It reminds me of hurt/comfort (a genre of fanfiction.) It seemed obvious to me that this was associated with sadism and I think. Personally I thought the comfort aspect to some extent is a kind of guilt/shame response because women care more about how they are seen and it goes against the female gender role more (also have stronger empathy response so it could be a way of coping with sadistic urges by having both together.) I actually think this genre is less common now? A lot of the quotes below are from the 80s but I remember this genre being around a bunch in the 2000s. Probably due to cultural changes over the past 20 years which made BDSM more common among other things but it was also way more common in slash fanfiction which I read less now anyway:

    https://fanlore.org/wiki/Hurt/Comfort

I can't say I want to tear men apart just to hurt them -- I want to pick their characters apart and see what makes them tick, of course; the tearing and slicing is just a dispassionate side effect. Really. I swear. [1]
In my opinion, H/C, after all, is just socially acceptable S&M. [17]
To the dismay of fans who feel it is poor characterization, over time in many slash pairings the 'smaller guy' (usually the more popular character in a pairing) becomes more and more likely to be the one hurt, to the point that he actually seems to be shrinking in the descriptions used for him in fanfic.[15] H/C written in a well-established slash fandom often goes to one of two extremes: either the littler character is routinely getting hurt over and over in ways that would kill normal people, or perhaps worse, he overreacts to the application of paper cuts, and must be saved/cured by his all powerful partner.[16] This dynamic is larger than hurt/comfort, but is definitely related to it.
    Yeah definitely transcends that.

They also found in the study that Spoiler: violence in female offending seemed to be connected to a desire to humiliate or damage the victim socially and emotionally while in males it was more often the primary motivation in itself. Another interesting finding was offenders using gratuituous violence, inserting foreign objects, keeping trophies were more likely to be females, and those exercising power/control/domination and/or display 'acts of ritualism' were more likely to be male.

Female offenders seem to score higher on the Severe Sexual Sadism Scale too:

Finally, results show that females are more likely to present a higher average score on the SeSaS than males (Mann-Whitney U = 627, ω2 = .11, p < .001).
This might be kind of similar to how (for a long time anyway,) women with an autism diagnosis were more impaired than males though it was less common for women to be diagnosed in the first place.

Valkyrie weren't executing thieves and ordinary killers - Those were the Alpha men they were trying to marry.

    They were executing everyone else.
I don't know about them but they're giving me the ick.

This is strange! Remember the Aztecs with their eternally warring conquering polygamists? The genetic record shows that at various points almost all people went through a Aztec-esque phase around the advent of agriculture. There are periods where the average number of male ancestors drops to 1 for every 17 female ancestors. Not only did this select men to be vastly more warlike and cooperative for the purposes of waging war (this was winner take all) it selected women to be vastly more submissive and optimized to sexual slavery.

    [... disgusting stuff]

So how were these tribes able to consistently produce women who'd resist slavery to the last? How were the Teutons, later Germanic tribes, Vikings, Anatolians, and probably dozens of other peoples (notably Japan had elaborate cultural practices around male and female suicide I do not understand the significance and selection effect of)? how were they able to produce women who'd not only kill themselves and their children before accepting slavery, but also cut down their own men for cowardice?

Well we've already seen how. Ibn Fadlan told us how. Germanic and Viking men bred with the slaves they captured (why capture slaves otherwise) but at nearly every warriors death they were sacrificing women.
Now think of the girl who would NEVER volunteer. One who despised her captor even after years together. One who finds the prospect of such a sexual submission and humiliation disgusting. One who would sooner send her friends and family to die than endure such an insult to her dignity. One who would endure any hardship or suffering, and take any punishment, just so long as she might preserve her dignity. Who'd fight tooth and nail against such an assault on her person.

These are all HORRIBLE traits to have in a slave. This entire process indeed is selecting for the absolute most disobedient, frigid, spiteful, prudish, unsubmissive, unfeminine girl possible. They were destroying the quality of these girls for slaves? but they were selecting for girls who?d be ideal to hold a spear in the rear and run through her own father if he retreated and tried to leave her.

They were breeding and culling out female masochism, submission, and Stockholm Syndrome. Trying to create a perfect Germanic women who would always choose death over dishonor. And by the accounts of Amazons from Homer , or Xenophon's Taochi in the Anabasis, or tales of the Boudica rebellion in Britain, this selection effect has been created more than once in the people affected by the Indo-Aryan migrations, possibly as far as Japan given their history of extreme selection via ritual suicide.

Lol this is just another story. But funny I did think of her. She certainly would be a "lot of hassle." To the point where Nero supposedly almost considered withdrawing from Britain entirely. She was also Celtic though.

Am I going to post this every time she gets brought up? Yeah probably it's a good track:

Now you might wonder: why did the Viking and Germanic men put up with this? A ritual, to be carried out every time one of them died? In which the GOOD slave girls were executed and they were left with fewer girls of increasingly shrewish and prudish demeanors? Why did they suffer their harem of chattel women to be slowly reduced to the frigid stuck-up ancestors of the modern protestant school-marm?
The Valkyrie executing the girl? They're taking out a romantic rival and reifying their dominance over matters of life and death, sex and killing. And they get to do this every time a warrior dies. Notably it was the "angel's daughters guiding the slave girl to the knife, and the crone herself wielding it. The crone's daughters marriage prospects just got way better with that killing, and the crone's future grandchildren will have far fewer rivals for their father's resources.
I'm not sure how my bimbo kink fits into this..

    But more seriously?

I think this is why sexual politics in the modern west is so Schizophrenic.

The culture of the modern west Simultaneously presumes women are these proud, supremely competent, Kween, Girlboss, Amazons, Warriors, unconquerable? And then also that they're eternally set upon victims and the slightest sexism or insult from a man will make them wilt up into "70 cents on the dollar" and a "pink collar" ghetto of "women?s work". Somehow simultaneously just as capable and jut as good, and yet also in desperate need of "empowerment" and crippled by "imposter syndrome".

And of course it's all immediately understandable as soon as you realize we?re talking about vastly different women from vastly different populations, selected in the exact opposite manners.
If the very idea of western womanhood seems schizophrenic, somehow eternally liberated and oppressed, empowered and victimized, sexually liberated and sexually violated? The source of this schizophrenic feedback loop is almost certainly that "woman" is several entirely separate things across peoples and cultures, and [...]
So you get points for being one of very few men (edit: nope not a man, should have known lol,) to not conclude all women are a homogenous blob but I'm not sure there's much backing up your hereditarian view on this topic.

But this is who western woman is, or atleast who she is supposed to be: Proud, noble, dignified, competent, austere, frigid, cruel, shockingly violent, and foremostly beautiful and free. And this is who they were bred to be across thousands of years, before Abrahamism and then Egalitarianism tried to equate submission with liberty.

But if you stare closely enough at the edges of Western culture, you can see her creeping back into the world.
In Conclusion: Blonde Women are Bioweapons

(And some brunettes, I presume, are good people)

So ya, Basically we just need all the hot competent women to ritualistically slaughter the HR blob

Oh the guy who wrote this is a woman that makes sense I guess since someone on the far right wouldn't generally write something that was that positive about women (and it's not really, but that's how low the opinion of far right men is.) It's actually mostly an argument in favour of women like herself as opposed to most women globally which makes a lot of sense actually for someone who is 1. female 2. has that personality type.

What is she saying on twitter.

Documents the struggles😿 of CatGirls😻 past, present & future
    So you're an e-girl.

I told all you guys the Lesbians wanted you to hit on them

All my evopsych theories, confirmed in one place
I'd suggest you live out your lesbian fantasies yourself or vicariously through women, instead of vicariously through men.

The decline of the "lesbian" tag is a core metric of the decline of western manhood.

In the 2000s men couldn't stand to see even a single dick. They wanted multiple women waiting alone for them

The rise of group and "femboy" shows the rising male/female trendline to 100% gay
As I was saying lol. Tbh a lot of guys who watch lesbian porn actually self insert as one of the women so not sure how related to manhood it is. Plus both lesbian sex and group sex were listed as some of the top genres for women on pornhub.

Apparently she found a subreddit for women with some kind of sexual kink for MAGA guys (as they find them so disgusting they fetishise sex with them which shouldn't really be all that flattering to them but whatever.) Actually about half the responses are like 'that's a man' from men which is unusual. Usually it would be 'of course all women want to [BEEP] us.' Kind of thing. (And there was one incredibly gross comment along those lines.) But I think it's the way that particular post is written. Speaking of right wing/reactionary etc internet women. It's a shame right wing guys are you know. Not entirely r*tarded:

women who are proudly and openly right wing are messed up. It's like dating a dude.
he's referring to women who are loudly rw

being cantankerously political (esp rw) is one of the most malebrained traits one can have
I didn't realise people used 'malebrained' outside of /tttt/ and it's diasapora. This has been illuminating.

Trans women are always using that to insult one another and themselves.

I'm trying to think of a single left wing woman who isn't cantankerously political
    They're male brained too
A lot of women act like men, or what they think men are like these days
Most of these figures are just contrarians looking to post ragebait/get engagement anyways.

She made it pretty clear she won't [BEEP] them either lol with that whole valkyrie piece (and yes she is a blond.)

being a transbian isnt about becoming a c1s lesbian to me its literally just "what if gay stuff between boys wasnt disgusting and hairy and nasty and ugly and misogynistic and grindr hookup meth bullshit and instead it was soft and romantic and cute and like my bl manga"

transbians and gay ftms are my favorite flavors of gayboy
I get what she's saying. Also congrats on escaping the twink death lifestyle. I mean it's fine if you want that lifestyle and you just want casual sex.

(I think it's partly a dysphoria cope based on other things she's tweeted including very recently, but I also understand transmogrifying stuff via fluidity to avoid that as much as possible.)

I dislike that a lot of this stuff has been hyper categorized. It feels so impossibly hard to explain how our emotions feel sometimes and the insistence that you need to have some logical coherent hierarchy behind it or you're a jerk sucks.
    No I ultimately agree yeah.

unironically i think ur onto something here
it's about proving all the yaoi critics ("ummm real gay people aren't like that :/) wrong
Lol well ftm's can't do that. How contrarion of you all.

    political lesbianism for f4gs
I basically think nasty, ugly, hair grindr hookup meth bullshit is the socially irresponsible modality of AMAB desire that our society venerates because it disavows social responsibility and responsibility to the other's Desire, focusing instead on immediate "want"

Because enjoying being an imaginary castrated "failed male" is different from enjoying being a Phallic "real man" which is what grind meth hookup culture is about (even if youre a bottom).
They're very different cultures for sure.

if one more 🏳️*⚧️ puts this on my timeline im banishing her to the bara dimension

[photo of two women kissing in graffiti bathroom]
The trans flag emoji doesn't really work off twitter evidently.

    These could easily be transbians.

The one on the left could be a young shit, the one on the right could be a twink hon like us- which is basically C4T.
Well they are making out in the toilet I guess... Terfs really have destroyed everything.

I'm never going to get over this:

Thinking about it this might have been the long game of Camille Paglia:

I was a lesbian before gay lib. I was openly lesbian in college, I went to college in '64 to '68, and the gay lib thing broke out in '69. At Yale graduate school, I was the only open lesbian from '68 to '72. The only one. And I took the career price for that. I shoved my lesbianism down people's throats when I wasn't getting any pleasure from it; I couldn't find anyone to be with! There is the irony, I took all the negatives without any of the positives! I tried. I tried to pick up women, I tried. In 1969 I traveled Europe with the handbook, the gay guide to Europe. I went from place to place, every city, and I thought, "What is the problem here?" All the gay men are finding contacts everywhere! You can't avoid it! Bus terminals, toilets, diners, everywhere! Finally I had to conclude, after so many decades of frustration, that lesbians are not looking for sex. It's not about sex. They think it's about sex. It's about mommy! It's about mommy is what it's about!
Paglia and the terfs manifesting lesbian bathroom makeout sessions. 🙏

Who took the photo? Also why am I being shown this I like chubby furry men?
    I don't know but I bet it's Paglia's fault.

You have mental issues and you need dick immediately
Well that's very rude. Going to have to banish you to the bara dimenson (male toilets.)

I don't think I need dick immediately myself. Maybe if they invent a time machine and I can meet young Geddy Lee but it's probably one of those things that works better in fantasy and he's been with his wife so long I don't want to mess that up you know?

Seems a bit unfair to reduce him to just dick too considering his hair and body and facial expressions and cute vibes and cute high pitched voice are doing most of the work.

Honestly can't believe you did this random homophobic guy. Now I'll have to banish you to the bara dimension for even longer.

Also I just noticed Contrapoints follows the toilet photo page haha. As does Sigma female not surprised. I should say they post other things. It's a page for wlw/sapphic stuff.

Hey uh anyone wanna kiss me in a dive bar bathroom
I think I will try and do this with my Sims later. Not the position that would require modding of some sort.

Context: I am an androgynous woman in a small, conservative and mostly catholic country. So I guess when people see me with a shaved head they assume I?m a man.

I was about to take a major test (9 hours long) and before it started, the examiner said "everyone who needs to use the toilet, do so now because you wouldn't be able to for a while".

Understandably, a lot of us stood up to go to the toilet and there was a line. So I fell in line. The woman behind me told me "Mister, the line for the men?s toilet is over there". I simply told her ?I am a woman? to which she profusely apologized and said "I'm sorry I didn't know I'm sorry I'm sorry". I don't take offense when this happens so I said nothing and continued facing forward, my back towards this woman. There was about 5 seconds of silence before I felt her hand touching my back and feeling me up while she was saying "are you really a girl?" Over and over until she felt my bra strap and she finally said "oh right you are a girl sorry again!"

I just stood there and froze while it was all happening because it's not like I could go anywhere; I was in a narrow public toilet hallway and there was someone directly in front of me plus I'm super non-confrontational. But I'm not gonna lie, this happened almost 2 months ago and it still bothers me and keeps me awake at night how cishet people seem to think queers are making public toilets unsafe when THEY are the ones being perverts and touching people without their consent just to. Idk what their point was but it's definitely not to make the toilets safer because I sure as [BEEP] didn't feel safe at all.
Some women (and girls,) are very creepy. I had that happen when I was a teenager but back then they just did it so they could laugh at you not wearing a bra while they tried to ping your bra strap through your t-shirt. Which of course I was not at the time since I didn't want to but ended up wearing one during days where I had PE after that to avoid a repeat.

I feel like there's a lot of really weird and creepy and intrusive gender policing that gender conforming cis girls will do....

Where I live, that's considered sexual assault in the second degree (without consent but without force).
That should be the case anywhere in the world with decent laws against sexual harassment. Regardless of the situation in which it occurred.

You live in an excellent place, I wish everywhere were like that.
I doubt it would be here especially with teenage girls.

It's absolutely nobodies buisness and if she wasn't a fucking moron she'd know wearing a bra doesnt reveal anything about your gender or sex anyway.

Askgaybros is a toxic shithole lol. Avoid at all costs cuz it?s ☢️☢️☢️
Oh yeah I wouldn't go there if I was you. I try to avoid that sub and I clearly don't avoid much lol.

When Ive stumbled there while searching other stuff I've found they have amazing discussions like "trans men are women" but also at the same time "there's a name for a guy who wants to date a cis man wearing nail polish - straight."

Its a very masc4masc kind of space I think where they contradict their own transphobic logic when it suits them.

I'm too non-binary + attracted to androgyny for that nonsense anyway.

Some perspective from an older trans woman who has been close to the gay community for decades

Both gay and trans people do not conform to societal pressure to fulfill the gender role for their assigned gender. This is why we are grouped together.

Our struggle is and has always been the same, and we have gone through it together. Trans people have ALWAYS been part of the gay community.

Trans people fought, bled, and died with gay people for decades.

Cis het people widely saw/see us all as grades of the same perversion.

Also, a large portion of us are gay too 😂.

Keep in mind. The transphobic gays are a minority in the gay community. They are just an extra hurtful minority.
A lot of the guys on that sub are more interested in trying to fit in with conservative straight men which fair enough but I wouldn't say there's much overlap given the frequent contempt for less masculine gay men. (There are of course feminine gay men who are transphobic too but yeah.)

It's an attitude that annoys me in men in general. So as I say I try to avoid that sub. I get enough bs from the right wing straight guys online but there's something that feels kind of self hating about it with a lot of gay men (I know some are actually masculine and just look down on femininity, but I know a bunch also had feminine childhoods or other traits that clearly make then stand out from straight guys and instead of accepting that they complain about feminine guys being 'stereotypical' and try to distance themselves. Some trans guys will do this for a bit too to fit in but most grow out of it,) so yeah it's just not a vibe.

I think a lot of them are just like straight men. They are just gay. Doesn't stop them from being transpbobic
Pretty much. Liberal straight men are often more open minded actually than conservative gay men.

Sometimes gay men get mad at trans girls for stealing all the str8 🍆 ... It's happened to me a few times at the adult theaters... Then they get double mad when I'm not interested in them.. So they perceive me as both competition and someone who rejected them. (I'm a trans girl who likes straight guys)
Cisgender gay men aren't into trans women anyway. There are research papers documenting this lol:

    https://www.researchgate.net/publica...nsgender_women

A 2016 study that used the penile plethysmograph demonstrated that the arousal patterns, genital and subjective, of cisgender men who report attraction to transgender women who have "female-typical physical characteristics (e.g. breasts) while retaining a penis" are similar to those of straight men and different from those of gay men. The study showed that these men are much more aroused to female than to male stimuli. They differed from both the groups of straight and gay men, however, in also displaying strong arousal to stimuli featuring trans women, to which they responded as much as to the cisgender female stimuli. Of the men attracted to trans women, 41.7% identified as bisexual, with the remainder identifying as straight. The bisexuals among them did not display significantly more arousal to male stimuli than their heterosexual counterparts, though they did report a higher number of male sex partners.[6]
Basically in cis men attraction to trans women is a variant of male heterosexuality not homosexuality. (I think in afab people things get way more complicated and there's less research on some things like trans men, non-binary people and attraction to trans people in any group of afab people or maybe anyone who isn't a cis guy.)

    https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-79870-2

The present study examined heterosexual and gay men's self-reported sexual attraction and visual fixations to images of cisgender men, cisgender women, feminine trans individuals with breasts, feminine trans individuals without breasts, and bonobos. In terms of heterosexual men's self-reported sexual attraction, models? sex and gender appeared to be relevant. Heterosexual men were most sexually attracted to cisgender women and least sexually attracted to cisgender men. They were more sexually attracted to feminine trans individuals than to cisgender men. They were also more sexually attracted to feminine trans individuals with breasts than to those without breasts. In contrast, gay men reported being most sexually attracted to cisgender men and less sexually attracted to all categories of feminine individuals.
I think if they are they're probably more sexually fluid, bisexual, or have a different sexological profile.

Yes, gay folks made some strides but in the process they threw GNC gays to the back of the bus, trans women under the bus, and trans men into the void.

That's such a great way of putting it lol.

Maybe its because I'm non-binary but trans masc people have our own subcultures tbh online + overlap with sapphic and bisexual culture + tumblr + [BEEP] and trans culture etc and I'm OK with that.

I honestly always felt closer to straight gamer culture and obviously alternative culture and I can relate to individual cis gay men from the UK and that's fine too.

I've never felt a need to be part of the log cabin republican thing and the masc4masc thing obviously was never going to be my thing either even if I medically transitioned as I'm mostly attracted to androgyny.

"So I found this trans woman who makes femdom audio porn guys. She has a really hot voice."

"Look at this bimbo audio porn I found."

"This princess woman is being turned into a bimbo from the waist up with a dick by her evil step mother who suggests maybe she'll be able to get her pregnant like her now dead father couldn't. It's kinda hot right?"

"I listen to this one femdom's audios where she feminises guys or turns them bisexual and it's just her talking. I know I don't self insert as the guys but it's still hot voyeuristically and I find her voice kind of hot."

"So in this mind control erotica this straight guy is being turned gay by a guy..." *momentarily interested* ... "And now he's a feminine bottom =D"

"There's a straight guy in this femdom thing but he's a femboy bottom~"

*death glaring me for having the audacity to be into topping without being a cis guy in their desert of masculine bottoms who want cis often straight men.*

"We all like the same stuff."

You know what I mean lol? Kind of the opposite of their entire thing in almost every way.

Today in the West is sexually broken (the world perhaps.)

Edit: Just quoting something I said later in the post as a summary lol:

(I've been studying this because of my special interest in sexology coupled with my bad habit of engaging/reading ragebait political discourse.)
We ended up having sex for a few hours

    Seems about right 👍🏽
[Some comment by a straight guy I assume that got downvoted into Oblivion and removed]
If you have sex with women you could absolutely 100% have many many hours long sex. If I could give every straight man sex advice it would probably just be 2 things.

You don't have to use your penis every time.

Sex doesn't have to end after your orgasm.

That's it! May every man go forth and [BEEP] like a lesbian lol.

If you sleep with men, errr, can't help ya. Way outside my scope of practice. Despite my blood bank asking me 3 times per year for 21 years, I have never been a man who has sex with men nor have I ever had sex with a man who has sex with men. 😩

as a bi woman i second this. i've had hours-long intimacy with guys because they just wanted to make me feel good and there was no PIV. so it just went on as long as i still enjoyed it.. game-changer
Lol I can imagine what he's saying in the removed comment. Believable though. I mean I masturbate for hours sometimes so why wouldn't you?

dude im a trans woman and i feel like i dont belong here so why the [BEEP] are you browsing a lesbian subreddit
The OP had satisfying sex which made him grumpy. She was talking about topping a pillow princess and not wanting to bottom at all which is the opposite of what most straight women want because they expect something in return mostly because the guys who don't reciprocate are assholes in various ways and entitled like Myron from Fresh and Fit and Andrew Tate:

They'd never feel this way about it:

I love this for you! As a pillow princess I so often feel guilty about not being able to give in the same way but I am super. responsive. I hope that someday I meet a top who enjoys it as much as you do.
Consequently guys being into eg: giving head is a pre-election criteria that isn't just related to the sex act.

I honestly think those guys are low key disgusted by the sex act and/or sex in general (I mean I've already forgotten which one said this because these manosphere guys all kind of blur together but someone in the video said that they find vaginas disgusting,) which is relatable since I don't know how I'd feel about doing that with someone who has either set of genitals myself (there's also a bunch of stuff I'm only into when very aroused and not all the time even then like big breasts,) but that makes them feel less masculine or gay and vulnerable and deficient so they have to spin everything to justify themselves in a sexist hierarchical way while also universalising their experience.

Very masculine/externalising way of coping = very huge turn off.

I like when autistic (or neurodivergent,) guys are just like 'yeah I don't actually enjoy giving head' or that they don't enjoy intercourse or x,y, z stuff (many such cases I've noticed,) but without turning it into a competition where they are superior and doing anything else makes you weak. Makes them seem more self confident honestly lol.

dude im a trans woman and i feel like i dont belong here so why the [BEEP] are you browsing a lesbian subreddit
I'm always thinking about the confidence of some guys that do really dumb unattractive stuff while others feel like perverts yeah. It's the low neuroticism crossed with delusional self confidence for evolutionary reasons I'm guessing.

Fascinating but terrible in most cases.

Even when they're massochists like this one guy I stumbled on recently on twitter was into raceplay. This happened days ago so on my mind. So he (white guy of course, this may confuse people who are unaware but black guys basically never do this,) was responding to tons of accounts all white or East Asian women of course asking those women to have sex with black guys and other related things. Often they had nothing in their profile suggesting they were into raceplay (when I say raceplay I don't just mean interracial stuff there's a whole 'thing' going on here,) and some responded in a very confused way. A lot of these accounts were posting 18+ stuff but one was just a Japanese cosplayer... He posted that tweet in Japanese and she was like what? And he said he didn't speak Japanese and then responded in English and I was thinking dude [BEEP] off. There was another woman who was confused and he was like 'if you checked my profile you'd realise it's a fetish thing' um that isn't the problem asshole. Why are you responding to random women with this?

One woman tweeted she was getting rid of any black sex toys because 'the raceplay guys were too weird.'

getting fed up with all the annoying [BEEP] raceplay ppl im considering getting rid of the black dildos n never posting with them again. yall brought dis on yourself by being fucking weirdos 💀
its always white bois with BBC fetishes 💀 I don't get it
When you untangle it all it makes a lot of sense that it's white guys but more on that in a bit.

There are some videos about this but a little graphic obviously (not as much as they could be considering the subject matter but nevertheless):

"This woman got a tattoo of a spade."

"Now this same person is a huge Trump supporter. Anti BLM posts. All of her and her husbands posts are about finding and fucking black men. But they're also these huge Trump supporters, covid deniers."

    Many such cases lol.

Very much not my thing full disclosure so bit biased. When you become aware of what I'm about to say it will change how you view the culture war and politics in general. So I have an aversion to any fetishes that involve a gender hierarchy where normative masculinity is being described as superior which is why about 50% of guys are into it, the other 50% are doing some corruption/disgust thing. The former 50% think black guys are more masculine and dominant sexually at least and a lot of these guys are also into sissy stuff and as mentioned cuck stuff, and like feeling insecure. This gets a bit much for some people too:

Is anyone else just super over seeing BNWO stuff. I really like sissy content but it's starting to get to be a bit much.
It's very disheartening. I just wanna see cute bois and gurls and it gets to be to much sometimes.
I know. All I want is to enjoy imagining I'm a cute sissy [...] But all this raceplay stuff ruins he mood so much, it's not sexy or hot at all, all it is, is annoying a bit gross.
Some take it further and have a collective racial kink where the point is racial genocide (of white people,) because their fetish depends on great replacement stuff.

I have the opposite thing almost? Where I like it when people are dominant with opposite traits skinny/nerdy guys, femdom, bimbos who are topping etc, though I like stuff where people are dominant and submissive and I like massochists a lot (not these guys,) so more switchy. Some parts of Tumblr have that to an extreme degree with like being into femboy incels and stuff, 'trans women supremacy' they have their own version of what a hot guy is lol (though technically there are a few types of 'tumblr sexymen') and often being submissive in that dynamic. I joked yesterday it's like 'Christian slave morality' sexuality about some of the stuff I like as the point is treating anything society sees as being either weak, feminine, unpopular etc as being superior to win some competition (since I fit a lot of the criteria too in my case lol.) It's also like being contrarian I guess but only in specific contexts as most (any?) groups aren't seen as universally inferior or superior or dominant or submissive in our culture in the first place I would say. It all depends on context.

I prefer not to think about how far that extends though. Like I don't conciously think this when I'm just thinking about someone I think is cute and I like to think that's seperate from kink stuff. It also kind of kills romance/romantic attraction thinking about stuff in a competitive way so I don't like that, it's ego-dystonic. Reminds me of this again too:

Meanwhile a lot of the raceplay guys are right wing too (like the woman in the Kat Blaque video who was a Trump supporter,) its like their version of liberal women who post about wanting to have sex with MAGA guys on that one subreddit but that's more about it being disgusting to them than hierarchical - corruption again. Some people are into raceplay for disgust/corruption based reasons too. Or it's like trans guys who are into being misgendered or feminised and having sex with men. There are varying degrees of it ranging from feminisation to full on detransistion stuff.

Tumblr couldn't even do that kink in a normal way and just had the misgender thing become trans women turning into femboy incel gamers and then being dominant and then the trans masc person would be a woman so mutual detrans, which honestly killed me because of course. Sometimes a trans masc person or cis woman in general would also pretend to be a terf and every blog was like 'cis men don't interact.'

do people on here know about the microfetish culture that basically is like cis lesbians and cafabs w a 'misogyny fetish' but the person dominating them is basically like a parody vision of an incel gamer trans woman
i've seen the normal version of this a lot but never where the cnc guy who turns you straight/cis is trans themself
i've seen "normal" versions of that which isn't this [BEEP] either tbf 😭
Some people vote politically based on fetishes.. Lots of toilet sex stuff too (that's another example I just thought of.) This has all happened because politics and the culture war has become one of the most sacred things and therefor taboo things in our culture. (I've been studying this because of my special interest in sexology coupled with my bad habit of engaging/reading ragebait political discourse.)

This comment was posted on Kat Blaque's channel:

As someone that has seen a lot of weird traits on historical events i would argue this to be the first step into what in the future would be a black supremacists movement that very likely would be as genocidal and evil as other supremacist groups in the past such as either white, mongolian or arabian supremacists movements.

For example before the reunification of germany there was some very weird sexually motivated literature aiming at the idea of the Aryan supremacy amd how Germanic men were conquerors of this and that, and eveyone else were silly weaklings.

Whats funny is thay during that period germans were considered "inferiors" both in intelligence and body shapes by either french or britons.

Similar stuff could be found about the rise of arabic islamist against Christian arabs in the middle east.

Supremacy seems to be a counter movement for a percieved sense of inferiority towards someone and always seems to start with sexual themes.
I can see a lot of white nationalist types are concerned about this but I don't think so honestly. Purely because (and there are exceptions, some she references in this video like liberal women who fetishise black guys,) the vast majority of people I come across who are into this particular kink (and especially more extreme flavours of it that reference genocide,) have politics that are the opposite of their sexual kink. They have racist and right wing political beliefs and oppose any movements that support black people outside of their kink larping whether they are supremacist or not. It's basically a taboo/masochism thing for them and my impression is that black people (guys usually,) who go along with it from a dominant position are fewer and often not into the kink itself but just using it as an easy way to get sex.

I don't think they'd really have the numbers for that basically. Even considering demographic replacement where white people don't have many kids, the future of the US is going to be more Latino people mostly (who are mostly not black,) and mixed race people. Even then not a majority any time soon:

Over 1 in 4 Americans will be Latino by 2060, census projects. Hispanics are now 19.1% of the U.S. population but are projected to make up 26.9% of the population in nearly four decades.
In other white majority countries black people make up even smaller minorities and there will probably be more South Asian or Middle Eastern people.

But then again seeing as Richard Spencer recently voted for the democrats (and I thought some other racist guy did too but might have misread/remembered cause I can't find anything now,) perhaps they have noticed some things about this and Trump supporters lol. (I have no idea what Richard Spencer is doing in general honestly he's another one of those guys who seems like a psyop/contrarian/makes no sense. Hey maybe voting for Kamala is his kink who knows.)

I do think that supremacy movements involve envy (not necessarily sexual,) the Nazis and a lot of cultures historically have been very envious of Jewish people specifically but this cuts too many ways atm, and like I said it's not actually black people pushing this kink for the most part in the same way.

There are 35325252 videos about this guy at this point and I spoke about him before but just saw this and it's yet another weird 'it's personal' political guy....:

He's been dressing up daily multiple times in feminine 'female clothing' for months now to 'own the libs'.

    It's been surreal.

Actually watching this video I think he might be a pathological liar. There are just too many lies it doesn't seem to be for any other purpose at this point. It reminds me of Oli London a lot too. Some of these people also have BPD so switch political opinions etc rapidly.

So this is interesting to me (and nobody else lol) but thinking about this again:

    Quote Nyctophilia View Post
Cisgender gay men aren't into trans women anyway. There are research papers documenting this lol:

    https://www.researchgate.net/publica...nsgender_women

A 2016 study that used the penile plethysmograph demonstrated that the arousal patterns, genital and subjective, of cisgender men who report attraction to transgender women who have "female-typical physical characteristics (e.g. breasts) while retaining a penis" are similar to those of straight men and different from those of gay men. The present study examined heterosexual and gay men's self-reported sexual attraction and visual fixations to images of cisgender men, cisgender women, feminine trans individuals with breasts, feminine trans individuals without breasts, and bonobos. In terms of heterosexual men's self-reported sexual attraction, models sex and gender appeared to be relevant. In contrast, gay men reported being most sexually attracted to cisgender men and less sexually attracted to all categories of feminine individuals.
I think if they are they're probably more sexually fluid, bisexual, or have a different sexological profile.
So (regarding the boded parts) it's interesting that straight men who are into trans women are more turned on if they have breasts then those who don't. I'm thinking also about the comparitive lack of research on cis women. I suspect that in terms of arousal they'd just find what they find with most afab people with cis men and cis women that they're like turned on physiologically by everyone. But that's boring so if you consider subjective arousal like they do with the cis guys (who also report being more into breasts subjectively.) Then this paper on the Nisu subculture seems interesting:

    https://www.researchgate.net/publica...021_Case_Study

According to the research, there are four main forms of nisu in Chinese fan culture, including names with feminine color, re-created idol photos, fan fictions, fan videos and short fan texts posted on social platforms.

First, most nisu fans design feminine names for their male idols. The first type is the words that are only used to address women in traditional Chinese culture, such as wife, sister, princess, fairy, etc. Second, they also use a common female name that sounds the same as the male idol's original name. For example, some nisu fans call Zhehan (哲瀚) Zhehan (折菡). Han (瀚) is a common character used for male names in Chinese, while Han ( 菡) is usually seen in female names. Nisu fans give the idol a new personality by giving him a new name. The third is the change of the third-person reference. Nisu fans often refer to the male celebrity as "she" or "her". The following is a WeChat chatting transcript of a nisu fan (A) and a zhengsu fan (G):

A: When I saw this picture this morning, I just thought it looked little bit pretty. I didn't expect to see it so beautiful next to her (the male idol) face.
    G:"His" (face).

    (pers. comm., April 30th, 2021)

Second, nisu fans recreate pictures of the male celebrity to highlight his femininity. They usually use software such as Photoshop to soften the facial lines, lighten the skin tone, and add makeup and stickers to hint the femininity. Below shows that a fan added the princess's crown to Zhehan Zhang.

^ zhengsu fans seem to be those who are into the idols masculinity btw so the two groups argue online I guess?

In this case, much of the masculinity of the original image remains. However, some pictures contain more genderswap elements, in which masculinity was almost completely cut down. Such images often involve lengthening his hair and changing into feminine outfits. In addition, nisu fans also use AI face-changing software to feminize male celebrities more intuitively. Take the picture below as an example:

[photo of idol who just looks female, too lazy to reupload and link here]

However, manga works, which have been one of the most common forms of fan works, are rarely used by nisu fans. The reason may be that this format usually has obscured the gender characteristics of the character to a certain extent. As a result, nisu fans cannot enjoy the visual shock from the comparison of the pre and post sexual transition.

It is worth noting that nisu in fan fictions are not completely equal to sexual change. Nisu fan fictions pay more attention to the social gender roles than the biological characteristics. For example, the nisu fan fiction Xiazhui, which is the trigger of the 227 incident, sets its main character as a gender identity disorder person. In this case, while retaining the characters' biological gender characteristics, the social gender of the character is blurred to explain his deviation from the traditional male characteristics. This study did not find any nisu fan fiction that directly depicts the transformation of biological sex, which may be due to the limitations of the survey sample. However, it can be seen that nisu fans enjoy the resetting of social gender relations more than the biological gender in fan fictions. In addition, some nisu fans also like to fantasize about male celebrities getting pregnant and giving birth to a child. It was observed that nisu fans often borrowed the ABO setting from Western fan culture to satisfy these fantasies.
However, nisu is a minority cultural circle and has been rejected by the mainstream fan culture for a long time due to its special erotic attributes. As a result, it is difficult for the researcher to get in touch with the core members and contributors in a short period of time and gain the full trust of all the respondents. Therefore, this study is more exposed to the part of nisu culture that has been or is being recognized and accepted by mainstream culture. The parts that are hard to be revealed still need to be explored further. In addition, this study also noted that the nisu fan fiction focuses more on social gender change, but rarely directly depicts the biological gender change. However, due to the limitations of samples and time, this conjecture needs more data and research to support in the future
Cause I've said before a few times including my last post that I'm not very into breasts (besides maybe very small ones which can be cute,) except when I'm very turned on and on random occasions but most of the time no and likewise with the above subculture they also don't appear to be into physical transformation much but we can break that down further. Because they are into mpreg, and impregnation stuff and they're also often into using faceapp to feminise male idols faces as mentioned. Obviously there is probably a lot of variation in preferences here too in this subculture but it seems like essentially - they are just not that into breasts.

There's also the status aspect (which is a bigger part of female sexuality,) like they find someone they're already attracted to who is famous and who they find physically attractive, and then just switch that guy's gender traits to varying degrees. It's quite fascinating.

I also see a lot of people do this with male rock stars in the West on Tumblr. Usually they are androgynous looking to start with, but not always. They use female language/pronouns, talk about them resembling lesbian women and basically try to highlight femininity but they don't use faceapp for people who aren't fictional characters as far as I can see but some have created comic strips (contrary to what the author above says about manga being rare in the Chinese subculture,) where there is a character who is based on a musician but female (like I stumbled on someone doing that with Steven Wilson before.) I think because of the culture here people feel worse about doing that because it's misgendering people - so avoid it more with real people but not entirely.

Here is something I found before (I guess I'll just post how I got from A to B and the entire thing lol. It started on twitter and ended on Tumblr):

Ah yes the very lesbian trait of *checks notes* flirting with a man?

how to design a character so that you can immediately tell shes a lesbian

    So is she bisexual?

Oh I was looking into the anime a while back but it seem liked a het romcom?
yeah I only stuck with it cause my wife told me I have to get into this 😭
I know it doesn't make it any easier to be interested in an m/f pairing but they are both bisexual and it's actually relevant to the plot there's lesbian characters that get a lot of focus too
I can see why this would annoy people.

She immediately starts flirting with a teenager boy lol

Is that something you think lesbians do?
Anime strikes again. But if the lesbian is Camilla Paglia who sometimes identifies as bisexual and kept banging on about teenage boys in ancient rome or whatever then yeah. There's a lot of Paglia in this post.

Why does she have to be weird? Just cause she looks like femcel Riddler? Racism.

A cool looking fictional woman with boyish mannerisms can say "I love the cock and hate the pussy" and these desperate shitheads would still think "OMG!!!! SHE SO GAY!!!".
    I think she's bi apparently.

Oh no you haven't seen desperation if you haven't been on tumblr (well desperation, being a chaser either/or) every guy is a woman and/or a lesbian:

that old man rockstar is a beautiful woman to me in a way that the general public could not understand
#wives! both of them!#they look like sexy lesbian aunts!!
#john lennon was a beautiful woman tag
    #ogre?
    #gerard?
#this had to be written about bruce springsteen
    Lots of Bruce Springsteen's.

    #thom yorke!#seriously you guys don't understand?
    #peter murphy#and andrew <3
    #AMENNNN#brian molko <3333#rb
Geddy Lee recieved several mentions of course.

    #YOU GET IT
There's kind of no one to stop them and I'm not going to say I don't get it.

The internet was a clear mistake but we're all stuck here now so it is what it is.
I realise this isn't the same thing as being attracted to trans women and I would imagine that cis lesbian women into trans women are an entirely different sexuality group again that probably resembles how straight men are attracted (as exclusively lesbian women tend to have sexualities that are closer to straight men though not 100%) but this is like interesting to me because it neither fits the gay male nor straight male pattern and the preference seems to also overlap with a desire to have a dick sexually much like in straight cis men where the attraction to trans women often overlaps with a desire to be a trans or cis woman - it was like 42% in one paper of guys who are attracted to trans women but this gets brought up anecdotally a lot by trans women dating men):

Actually I call Zhou "laopo" for Wen. I want to [BEEP]
him but I don't have a penis. I hope Wen can do those
what I cannot do for me.

(Tushounangua, pers. comm., April 29th, 2021)
Obviously this wouldn't apply to everyone. I think it is like with BL where a bunch of women want a dick and to top guys (not everyone who is into it again.) It's just.. Further in that direction? (Because a lot of BL contains feminising components tbh. It's the number one thing cis gay men complain about, it's just less explicit mostly.)

Why don't Aspies Realize that I'm not interested?

The special interest is all-consuming. Young aspies don't realize that you're not interested - it sounds very interesting to them. Older aspies do realize and often they'll try not to discuss them. The trouble is, that aspies tend to think out loud and often talk to themselves, particularly about their interests.

They will often talk incessantly about things knowing that the other person has no interest. This will either be because they want to hear about it - even if it is only their own words out loud or because they feel that it's important for other people to know about the subject.
This quote will haunt me. (I'm not diagnosed because I never took this one professional's advice to seek a private assesment. It doesn't matter though because a minority of neurotypical people have special interests too. I think 20% from what I remember but could be wrong, and some autistic people don't. Outside of discussions about ASD and discussions about hyperfixations in ADHD (which aren't exactly the same thing, more short term over a few months,) you won't find discussion of this kind of thing though so.)

I'm actually doing this cause like there have been periods of my life where I'll literally talk to myself aloud in real life and have entire conversations with myself. This started in childhood but back then I'd only talk to myself specifically when I went to the toilet. Then later starting in early adulthood from what I remember I'd sometimes on/off over the years have conversations with myself - like out loud in real life again. It's been a while now. Probably in part because of these posts.

I frequently tell my poor wife about what's coming up in the movies, who a particular writer or director is and where they get their inspiration. She's not interested and will often talk over me. This makes me annoyed and resentful but I do understand that she's long-suffering and has little patience. Luckily for me, aspies tend to attract aspie friends or friends with similar interests.
Reminds me of this post again (I don't really know why you'd marry someone if you have this reaction to it. I can get how it would be annoying but like the contempt is another thing):

The consequences of society treating nerds as a funny affectation and not a serious mode of being is women marrying nerdy men who they have no real interest in sharing lives with.
I think it's more that there's an idea you are supposed to change both to be more sociable and to stop being obsessive. I think it would actually be very difficult for a lot of people because personality isn't that flexible but our entire culture is built around the idea that people should fit into narrow moulds and the idea that people are very flexible and capable of change so here we are.

One of the reasons men get married is so that we can have our nerdy and socially awkward hobbies without judgment.
Tbh... I've never understood that logic. Probably because the people around me irl have not really been people I can discuss these things with. I don't think most women in particular are very forgiving of that either.

She is cowardly, a weak minded worm of a woman. She sought the protection, the social acceptance, and the stability. And now, she grows bored. After swearing an oath in front of all, essentially faking her sacred vows, she wants something more 'exciting.' There is none worse than a women who lies, who marries in immaturity. She is destined for loneliness and depravity.
Possibly. This is why I think irreligious + liberal people shouldn't marry young. It only works in traditional cultures where your family are overly involved and good at matchmaking (even then the lower rate of divorce could be due to unhappy people staying together for religious reasons.) In liberal irreligious cultures marrying young just means you marry the first-second person who is entirely wrong for you unless you wait till you're older and have more self knowledge. That's if you're going to get married and not just stay together without that.

According to research in the US the best age to marry there atm is 30-32~ (the risk of divorce decreases until 32 then starts to increase again,) but this has changed a bunch over the decades. The primary goal obviously shouldn't be 'don't get divorced' either it should be compatibility.

He shouldn't have married her either but neurodivergent people tend to be less socially skilled and have less awareness of things like body language.

Open Discussion about Non-Binary Parenting! [...]

I think people should talk about enby parents more. There's a shocking amount of people who can't fathom a non-binary parent, nor do they even care to learn or ask questions. I've always loved learning about people different than me--it's a huge reason why I love college.

All this to say if anyone is curious what it's like for me as a transmasc enby to be pregnant, give birth and raise children, please do ask. I enjoy speaking about my unique experiences and I think it can be beneficial for everyone.

Also feel free to share your own experiences or add onto the conversation in the comments! 🖤
It is basically impossible to find discussions about this. I look from time to time.

**decided to share this here as well, the only response I've had on the transgender subreddit is a downvote :(
omg why were ppl downvoting over there?
Not really sure. The only comment on there as of right now is saying it's "not the right subreddit" to post it on because it centers non-binary people and not binary people (although I absolutely welcome binary trans people to discuss and ask questions too, maybe that should be more clear).

I am a little annoyed at the insinuation that enby perspectives aren't welcome in a sub that's supposedly for all trans people, though
    That's disheartning.

Looking to see what happened there..

Probably wrong sub. If only because a lot of binary trans people get dysphoria over NOT being able to be function of parent they want to be (eg, have a working womb)
That seems stupid there are various ways to become a parent... Also I don't want to be pregnant myself and was looking for discussions.

I can definitely understand why that can be hard to discuss for binary trans people. I guess I thought it would be fine since non-binary people are also transgender, and this group doesn't seem to specify an exclusion of enbies 🤷🏻 anyone who doesn't want to interact, doesn't have to you know
Yeah, nonbinary people are fine here. We don't tend to do AMA-type threads, though.
Of course we are. It's just strange to post essentially "I'm trans, ama" on this sub
Not really sure what ama means. Trans people can have kids, so I really just don't understand what the issue is to want to discuss this topic. This thread also isn't meant to be exclusive to non binary people, any trans person is welcome to interject their experiences (I may not have been clear enough on this)

Edit: ama means "ask me anything" I assume, I get why that style of post might not be common here. I would just delete it, but I don't think I can without deleting the other threads?
I'm probably just paranoid and cynical but I often feel like there's a concerted effort in [BEEP] spaces to shut down or avoid discussions like this.

Seems like this hasn't happened with other discussions there with people asking questions about non-binary people...

My trans/non-binary child chose a name that has negative connotations for me. Please help.

My child is turning 16 in a few months. They have been questioning their gender for several years and my husband and I truly are supportive of that. We don't have any problem with them changing their name to align with their gender identity either.

The issue is the name they chose isn't really a name, it's a word- totally ok, except this word has a negative meaning. My child has been using it with friends for about a year, and had been using it for several months before they told us. They did experiment during that time with other names also.

    [...]

I am NOT saying I don't accept my child or that it's a bad name or that my opinion matters at all. I am asking for help reconciling this name with my child in my mind, and helping my husband, other children, and extended family do that too. I am asking for help advocating for my child and defending them (including to myself).

The name is ZERO. I have long term negative experiences with this word being used repeatedly as an insult. This is why I'm struggling. I realize this is selfish and I'm not trying to be selfish. I'm trying to get help to do the best thing to support my child. I know that I need to "get over it" and I'm here for advice specifically to help me get over it. Because I love my child no matter what their name is and TO BE CLEAR I fully intend on calling them Zero!!!
Well, I just had to look up synonyms of "nothing" and "worthless" and very quickly I guessed it. Reading the comments confirmed it.

I don't think zero is a negative word necessarily. It has a cool ring to it.

But my name means "that damn cat" so maybe I'm not the best person to take advice from.
Huh Nothing is the name of a vampire character in Billy Martin's (pen name: Poppy Z Brite,) vamprie series I think? Zero I think is a Final Fantasy character. Not the one I thought either lol I just assumed and was correct. It definitely had a 'Final Fantasy character name' quality. I have to say though that's such a non-binary coded name lol. Female character though. Also voidpunk vibes lol.

    Dark-robed Voidsent:

Then call me what you will. I care not.
    Y'shtola:

    How about..."Zero"?
    Dark-robed Voidsent:

Meaning "nothing"? A name as fitting as any.
    Y'shtola:

No, not "nothing," but rather a "beginning." For it remains to be seen what you will become to us.
    Seems about right.

Zero is a character in Final Fantasy XIV, introduced in Endwalker as the reaper avatar of Zenos Galvus before being expanded upon and named in patch 6.2 as a supporting character. She is a resident from the Thirteenth, a Memoriate who was rendered a voidsent after the Flood of Darkness consumed her world. Her name from her past life is unknown, so the name "Zero" was given to her by Y'shtola Rhul.
The voidsent [ˈvɔɪdˌsɛnt, ˈvɔɪd.sənt] are beings in Final Fantasy XIV. Consumed in primordial darkness, the voidsent are the distorted aether-starved remainders of the original lifeforms within the realm of the void. Starved of life energy, they seek to feed on the aether of other realms. Voidsent exist due the excess of dark aether shattering the aetheric harmony of living creatures, altering their natural forms and turning them into undying monstrosities driven by their unrestrained excesses and desires.
    Many such cases.

Me: Oh this other character looks cool- oh he's the villain. That tracks.

Zero was designed by Ayumi Namae, with her concept being based on the idea of "genderless" character with beautiful androgynous features, which she based on material featuring androgynous actors and characters collected over the years.
I'm like 70% sure this is where they got the name from lol.

Zero was born in the Thirteenth during a war that came to be known as the Contramemoria. While still being carried in her mother's womb, her mother came in contact with the Darkness that was consuming the world, with the unborn child being influenced by it, being born half-Hyur, half-voidsent. [...]

Thousands of years later, when the disgraced Garlean prince Zenos Galvus of the Source took up the discipline of the Reaper, he reached into the void and forged a pact with the voidsent, using her as his avatar. Zenos's unusual strength allowed him to force a lopsided pact, taking of her power without offering anything in return, as well as further twisting the voidsent's appearance with excess Darkness. The voidsent hated this but could not resist Zenos.
This sort of vaguely reminds me of my writing from my early 20s (back when I actually started writing something for national novel writing month lol,) in that it's doing the thing where you're unconciously uniting an androgynous female character with some kind of masculine warrior principle. I say this like this is a 'thing' and not just some trope I'm inventing myself now ahaha.

I have an insane amount of notes and writing for that, wondering if I can find something that briefly breaks it down lol. I'm sure I've posted about this before...

More notes (these notes are vaguely related to two main characters from that story but the plotline changed a bunch. I'm also removing all character names because I like to keep those to myself. Not mentioned but there is a war or some kind of rebellion going on in another realm which is a part of the story. One character was bound to the other as punishment):

    19, first year university student
lives in a large town/small city near the sea
She's a little bit of a tomboy, not much of a girly girl, never wears skirts or dresses.
    [...]
Her mum died, due to complications with her birth (no doubt as a result of the fact that the soul had been bound to her.)?
    [...]
There was no particular reason why she was chosen to be the person who would have the spirit's soul bound to her body. It had to be a baby who was still in the womb and the mother had to be in the early stages of pregnancy, but beyond that it was a random descision. A cult member who was posing as a doctor, picked one of his pregnant patients who was still in her first trimester, and took the blood sample from her needed for the ritual.

The spirit who shares her body:

    Dark sense of humour
Spontaneous and unpredictable, likes to take risks, and experiment, curious in nature.
Enjoys draining people of their energy as it gives him a rush.
given his choice, will kill anyone who threatens the body he lives in in an instant, therefor he unintentially protects the main character as well.
He has all of the main characters memories, and so recognizes people that she knows, and he knows where they are from, though he does not share her emotional responses to them, just the knowledge of who they are.
although he has no gender, and admits to that much, the voice he uses inside of her head is male, and he identifies as a 'him' not wanting to be referred to as an it.
    [...]
There was a small part of him that found it hilarious. Though an even larger part found it infuriating. He had once been an adept warrior that had suffered worse wounds by simply training, and now here he was; almost flawed by a small graze on his knee. It was pathetic and if he ever got the chance he would kill every last person who had been involved with his transference.
[name 1] thought she heard the words, 'Oh I'm real, unfortunately.' In her mind but it was overlaid with a thousand other thoughts both hers and not. She was beginning to have difficulty figuring out which was which. As memories and thoughts were mixed together and transformed into something new that was neither truth nor false.
I'm not a figment of your imagination. You're not nearly intelligent enough to create me.

[name] scoffed a self deprecating voice, typical.
    lol.

Remember that time when you were still in the children's home? You were nine years old.

[name] knew where this conversation was going, but she did not want to hear it.

[name] watched the scene play out in her mind, but it was not her memory. Her memory stopped just as she grabbed the boy and was hazy until she was being pulled off him. The other children who had gathered around to watch at the time had said she had been snarling and screaming, but she had not remembered. Now she saw though.

She watched as she pinned the larger boy to the wall by the neck, fingers around his throat as she thrust her foot into his stomach winding him with a kick that looked far too expert for her even as she watched herself do it firsthand.

It is not really possible is it? They just lied about all that. He was so much bigger, it is not physically possible.
You really should stop beating yourself up over this, of course it was not you. I am not you. I have just had the unfortunate experience of sharing your head since you were born.
"Yes [name] the voice in your head is not you. I'm not sure how much he'll have told you already, or how much you've been able to pick up from the mesh of thoughts, but it is someone else. His name is [name 2] and
his essence was bound to your body, using powerful dark magic, when you were most susceptible to it; just before your birth."

Anger flooded [name]'s senses, but she knew it was not her own, it was his.
I'm just skipping through random parts of this (I've forgotten most of this cause I was writing it when I was 22 lol. So it's been... 11 years. Should have tried to do Nano last year really. Would have been the 10 year aniversary of the one year I attempted it. I didn't get ti 50k words though I got to like 38k and that was after removing contractions.)

This isn't either of the main characters but another I came up with who is described in notes as often wearing blazers so I see my love of those has crept in haha.

When [name 3] had first mentioned the 'Institute' he had pictured forests and lakes and a castle like structure with towers, hidden by some grand illusion spell. He had not imagined a large abandoned looking warehouse in the centre of Manchester. Perhaps he did read too much fiction.
    Of course lol.

    #liminal

(video mostly unrelated except it was recorded in an abandoned factory on the outskirts of Berlin.)

Think this might have been filmed in the same place (he bought it at some point. Maybe not though it was a couple of years before and might be a different place):

When I was a kid I read the Pied Piper story and felt really bad for the kid that got left behind and my mum had to explain to me that that was actually a good thing since he was abducting all the kids. And I feel like that kid has been a great metaphor for my life tbh lol. I'm still not fully convinced the world didn't end in 2012.

When people talk about how strange people are these days, do they ever think about this?

Some theories have linked the disappearance of the children to mass psychogenic illness in the form of dancing mania. Dancing mania outbreaks occurred during the 13th century, including one in 1237 in which a large group of children travelled from Erfurt to Arnstadt (about 20 km (12 mi)), jumping and dancing all the way,[41] in marked similarity to the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, which originated at around the same time.[42]
The stairs were made of metal which clanked and echoed as he made his way down, the stone walls were plastered with old posters and stickers and cut outs from newspapers and magazines.
Then he pushed through the door and into the institute. It definitely did not look like the inside of an abandoned warehouse anymore. The hallway was decorated in calm, neutral colours, there were sliding paper doors that overlooked gardens with a mixture of alien and not so alien looking plants. There were a number of initiates in green robes digging in the soil. It seemed more like some kind of nature retreat then the sinister headquarters of a cult.
A voice like butterfly wings made of glass.
    That's such a thing I would write.

Their reaction times and training is unparalleled. A couple of Terran's and a bunch of carnival rejects are not going to cut it.
    More notes:

[name 3] is trying to keep [name 1] away from them (his cousin the nymph and the other members of her travelling musical protest group), believing it a foolish task and not wanting to get [name 1] in any more danger. He feels bad for not doing anything when they bound the creatures mind to [name 1's] In so doing killing the mother in child birth with the magic, and forever locking their minds as one. As far as he knew at least...
Based and travelling musical protest group pilled.

Well time to write 50,000 words in 6 days (no lol.)

    Anyway....

This wouldn't bother me exactly because I understand the aesthetic:

You walked right into the web
You could never talk with silence like this
    (It's the emptiness, the emptiness)
You could never stop the violence like this
    (When sentience is sensing it)
You could never walk with mileage like this
    (It's your willingness to ignorance)

Listen to the noise of the void
There's a message in it for you

The opening of this live performance reminds me of part of the music in Terokkar Forest I think (kind of need to know if that inspired it.)

It's really great. I think that's what it's reminding me of anyway.

    Speaking of the void:

WoW has such an amazing soundtrack.

Zero is powerful. When you multiply it with other numbers, those numbers have no choice but to become zero as well. It sounds like Nero. It's a cool sound. If you use and practice it, it will become second nature.
Oh yeah there's loads of directions you can go with this. Intuitively if you're into programming it'd make sense too. Nyx plays with this in the gender accelerationist blackpaper, but I don't subscribe to that vision obviously or see it as ideal. It's a kind of cyber nihilist manifesto I would say that incorporates Sadie Plant, Solanas and Nick Land.

The Acephallus is a rejection of the reproduction of God through heterosexual human reproduction. The Acephallus reproduces itself by reproducing the void, in a lesbian and also virus-like fashion. "Let a thousand sexes bloom" -- but of all the mutations of the virus, woman is the strain that it begins and ends with. Woman, the occulted non-gender, the zero -- her time has come.
The Acephallus is the anti-phallus or castrated phallus, the decapitated phallus, the Crown of the Tree of Life thrown asunder. Superficially, a hermaphroditic mixing of feminine and masculine attributes, but more accurately described as a feminine imitation of masculinity. A mockery, even. In figures such as Baphomet which are often treated as symbolic or synonymous with Satan and the Left-Hand Path, there famously is a mixing of male and female attributes.[9] But the supposed hermaphrodism of Baphomet et. al. is merely an ignorant and archaic understanding of both gender and Satanism. As has already been at length drawn out, the vampire queen Lilith gives birth only to monsters and demons; she rejects the primordial male creative energies and can only therefore birth [BEEP] imitations of God. Baphomet, therefore, is all woman; her appearance is inconsequential to this fact.
    Boo. Lol.

The androgyny flattening is rustling my jimmies.

I'm Israeli, calling people "zero" was quite the insult when I was in primary school.

Idk if it helps, but zero is just a number. A really cool number! Maybe you and your child can watch maths videos about how cool 0 is as a number? That way, you could focus on the mathematical properties, rather than cultural background.
Think you're all missing the obvious here though. The Final Fantasy character.

The awkward thing hypothetically is when people use it/it's pronouns and then you have a conversation with someone else or post something and you basically have to clarify that you're not trying to insult them.

Zero is actually a pretty cool name, with the way you were talking about it, I thought it was Adolf or something 😭
No you're giving me flashbacks to the Jewish trans guy from tiktok who said he was Adolt Hitler reincarnated. What was his name? Felix Cipher. Kinda stereotypical name too.

    Non-Binary characters in Final Fantasy

It can feel like every character is binary in the sense that they are all either perfectly good or perfectly evil, especially Final Fantasy XVI. What a coincidence that all the bad guy characters are ultra evil and all the good guy characters are ultra good with no grey area. Which characters in other entries don't fall into this neat divide?
Yeah feels like OP just walked out of a sleeping pod and missed the past 10 years of discourse surrounding what "non-binary" refers to nowadays.

That's a perfect description of what has happened here.

Edit: Wait that thing I said before earlier in the post:

Oh yeah there's loads of directions you can go with this. Intuitively if you're into programming it'd make sense too.
How did I not make this joke before? It's very ironic to be a non-binary person and call yourself Zero.

Attention to be who married older women. I am a 20m dating a 29F, does any man regret marrying an older women and loosing physical attraction?

I have found myself in love with an amazing beautiful woman, whom also happens to be 9 years older than myself. We are so good together, we are each others best friend, find joy in making eachother happy, we both have similar hobbies and love Fittness. We are on the same page with what we want in the future. But recently, my dad told me something that I can’t seem to shake.

My dad doesn’t support our relationship and thinks I should date someone younger because he says she only has 5 "good" years left.

Now im worried that since she is older I'm going to loose physical attraction sooner than someone my own age. Has any man experienced this? If so would you still continue with a loving relationship? I feel so strongly that she would be an amazing wife, but I don't want a husband for her that doesn't have physical attraction for her.
If you want kids that's going to be an issue and is more important to consider than her potentially and mysteriously losing her looks in 5 years (which for a lot of people won't happen especially if she works out etc.) His dad sounds very divorced though.

No she is the most beautiful person I have ever met because of who she is as a whole. But I do value physical attraction as a man does and fear I'll have fobo later in life.
He sounds very immature. Which makes sense because 20 is young and 20 is also the new 12. I can't see this working. I would just have fun and see where it goes though because she'll probably end it in 3-5 years if she decides she wants kids. Unless she doesn't want any.

Your dad is a misogynistic pig. 9 years is quite the age gap, but if you two are happy, why let anyone else ruin it for you? Unless you believe women expire at 35? Then you might want to seek therapy.
I think divorced is more fun and the vibe he's putting out there, but sure that works too.

    Waking up and choosing:

I'm getting a lot of use out of this random screenshot of a tweet.

Started reading this reddit thread and then eventually I just descended into shitposting again honestly.

i'm tired of being on this subreddit, just being a bigender lesbian on T. i cannot fucking imagine the exhaustion of our intersex and/or trans lesbian sisters.

any time a trans woman speaks out in even the smallest ways about her discomfort or mistrestment within the community, it's like everyone and their aunt has to pull out transmisogyny's greatest hits, speak over her, completely misinterpret what she said, and obligatorily mention that you would never have sex with a trans woman, btw, who as everyone knows, can only ever have PIV sex, and any lesbian who dates one is actually bisexual.

Never noticed that on that subreddit at all and I browse a lot and end up there while searching things (like bigender haha, how I stumbled on this.) If you don't like that one you won't like the others. I forget the name of one sub but it's much more exclusive and often dunking on bisexual women and sometimes trans and non-binary people.

They all have like the same name in different combinations like 'lesbianactually' and 'actuallylesbians' etc. Apparently the lesbian subreddit was full of porn.

They complain a lot partly because of the dating pool situation - they don't want to date a non-binary person and sometimes everyone they know is non-binary. There's also the usual complaints about bisexual women who end up with cis men. Complaints about bisexual women in general. Complaints about straight women flirting with them.

I'm in no position to talk but I thought I'm basically only into trans women because of social media posts and the way they communicate online.

Other stuff on social media from cis women is usually complaining and they hate being sexualised. I get it tbh but also what a terrible vibe to have everywhere online.

Plenty of trans women are the same online but a minority aren't (most of the ones who aren't often hate non-binary people specifically anyway though so it doesn't matter LOL.) I also realised some cis bisexual women are more open and post hot stuff like Aella. That might just be because she has a background as a sex worker and also enjoys casual sex a lot though. She's also more androgynous in some ways psychologically. She gives off high openness nerd vibes.

    Still a top 10 tweet:

I'm sure we could argue about all kinds of things and get divorced.

But I feel like the church sex and the access to lsd I definitely shouldn't take because of the cousin who has a psychotic illness would make up for that you know?

I wouldn't date a lesbian woman anyway because I'm also bigender (I know a bunch will like the OP evidently but part of my identity is male and they have requirements against that as a rule,) some trans women who are lesbians are attractive though and presumably cis women too. One is sort of cute. Posted about her recently.

It's the common opinion that bisexual people 'prey on' homosexual people. Not very interested in being part of that dynamic:

    Edit:
Lol "Bisexuality is a militantly anti-lesbian wing of heterosexuality" is actually a hilarious thing to say.

When examining sexual orientation differences, the researchers found notable patterns, particularly among females. Mostly heterosexual and bisexual females demonstrated elevated levels of sociosexuality and sexual excitation compared to their exclusively heterosexual counterparts. They also scored higher in psychopathy.

"There are now several replications showing that mostly heterosexual women are higher in trait psychopathy than other sexual orientation groups," Semenyna noted. "Psychopathy in this context just means being less concerned with other people's feelings, social expectations, and having lower impulse control. Mostly heterosexual women score more like heterosexual men on this trait, but it's not clear why. It could just be that these women are less concerned about what others think of them, and less constrained by social mores that would view same-sex attraction or behavior negatively."
"Some may worry that people with mostly heterosexual or bisexual attractions are being portrayed negatively in this research, since these individuals tend to be more interested in casual sexual behavior or show higher trait psychopathy (in the case of females)," Semenyna added. "It's important to keep in mind that we're measuring normal human variation in these traits. A more positive interpretation of the data is that these individuals are bravely embracing their sexual attractions in the face of social pressures to conform to heterosexual ideals, and certain personality traits protect them from feeling this pressure as acutely."
Yeah. That helps a lot. /s

A detransistioner who had previously transistioned mtf medically (so I guess was living as a trans woman at one point, I don't know his entire history.) I guess is a straight man told me this most recently on twitter (well not me specifically. I found his tweet):

Personally and ideologically, I have nothing against gay people. But I do think it tends to work less well. I'll explain:

To be truly, orientationally gay is to be cross-sex shifted. For a variety of reasons, including hormonal issues during prenatal development, some people are born with physical and mental traits shifted towards the average of the opposite sex. This often includes being attracted to members of their own sex, and wanting to fulfill an essentially opposite-sex role in relationships. The problem, of course, is that the members of their desired sex (their own) that are attracted to them are also like this. Hence the infamous "top shortage" in the gay male community.

What about the gay tops and lesbian bottoms that do exist? Generally, their homosexual behavior has a different cause, and they are not actually exclusively same-sex attracted. "Gay male tops" are often just high-openness hedonists who have realized that it's easier to convince men than women to engage in same-day commitment-free sex. "Lesbian bottoms" are generally women who, often due to personal experiences of abuse, feel unsafe around men.

Some of this is admittedly anecdotal, based on my time spent in the LGBT community before I detransitioned. If you visit LGBT forums or know many of them in person, you hear the same complaints over and over. Many lesbians have a strong aversion to dating bisexual women because they so often choose to leave and marry a man. Gay men often want masculine male partners who rarely want them, and even when they can get sex from these men, they can rarely secure a durable relationship.

On the subject of bisexuality, the available research indicates that orientational bisexuality is exceedingly rare among men. Most men who engage in bisexual behavior are either the type I described above or they're autogynephiles who aren't genuinely attracted to men and use men to fulfill a fantasy of themselves in a feminine role. In women, we observe much less sexual target specificity in general, EXCEPT among masculinized orientational lesbians. The strongest predictors of behavioral bisexuality are psychopathology and high trait openness.

One might cite low divorce rates among homosexual male couples as a counterargument, but very few gay men marry to begin with, so this is probably a selection effect. Also, many of these marriages are open, so it's a rather different thing than traditional heterosexual marriage. And lesbian divorce rates are higher than those of heterosexual couples.

All of this paints a rather tragic picture. True homosexuals struggle to find a partner who they are both attracted to and psychologically/sexually compatible with. I wish them the best, and would love to be wrong. Perhaps some, who are less cross-sex shifted, can form androgynous pairs that are stable. But the idea that homosexual and heterosexual relationships are comparable is false. It implies no hate to say that homosexuality is an abnormal condition, a result of biological misfiring, and that homosexuals often struggle as a result. Rather, it is a reason to feel sympathy for them.
10/10 response to his tweet below:

Q: why does your face still have that effemimate/gay glossiness? Have you made progress against it?
Maybe a residual effect of hormones, or the result of my facial feminization surgery. 🤷 doesn't bother me.
I probably would have liked you better as a woman. No but he is the worst - super into eugenics and everything. Not joking. Has an East Asian fiance, thinks white women are too agreeable. Obsessed with IQ and wanting safety from people he sees as predatory and/or parasitic. Sort of like what liberal women do (stereotypically,) but with people instead of ideas. in spite of that thinks leaders should be psychopaths (but good ones!) Browsed his twitter recently. He's (not) dealing with trauma too though.

I'm surprised by the implication that there is a bottom shortage among lesbians. This is not my impression. I've heard people mention top shortages in sapphic contexts. I thought there was kind of a top shortage in the [BEEP] community at large
There is not a shortage of female bottoms, there is a shortage of bottoms who won't leave you for a man eventually. "Top/bottom" track human sexuality more closely than "gay/straight", though still imperfectly.
    I've heard this too ftr.

I think that partly explains why many gay men chose to marry a woman to have kids while having sex (secretly) with gay men. Many people call these gay men immoral. Sad.

What is not convincingly explained in your post, I think, is the masculine gay (top). In my experiences, many extremely masculine gay men are not those with high openness and hedonism character. They simply seem to be fully and purely attracted to other men.
I would say it's immoral if you're doing that and not being open about it (and I have an idiosyncratic reason for why that probably nobody else on the planet has ever thought lol, or at least posted about,) because it's like the alpha/beta thing that incels complain about right? It forces women to compete with men especially if the men he is having sex with are tops and masculine. It can trigger envy and gender dysphoria and weird mateguarding behaviour you usually only see among straight men with women, in women with men, in women who are susceptible/vunlerable to that who might have otherwise avoided it. It's a really horrible thing that feels a lot worse than competing with women (that might be because I never gave much of a [BEEP] about that competition comparatively though,) I mean just look at lesbian women discussing this online and you'll find most care more if their partner leaves them for a man than a woman. So I don't wish it on them. Some afab people are already screwed before that point or by other circumstances, but there's no need to add to it. Especially when we don't know how any of this works.

You know I've seen guys on the bisexual subreddit who are like "I'm married but I want to have sex with men because I want animalistic sex, but I like the monogamy/emotional stuff I get from my wife." Sometimes they don't even want the guy to commit - their sexuality is just set up that way where they look for romantic connection from women, and want sex from men. And above all it's still cheating! Which is a painful experience for anyone with the super common emotion called jealousy that you can't just easily turn on/off.

Edit: Imagine this guy who is everywhere on certain subreddits but it's like someone you're in a meaningful relationship with (bit graphic so used spoiler tags):

    Spoiler:
me a "straight" guy has tried real dick in the past and it's most DEFINITELY better feeling than toys (not that toys don't feel good either.) The problem is some guys aren't as good at sex as they'd believe and the sizes of dick cam vary greatly.

Personally if I could have my way, I'd be getting fucked by dudes with big cocks on the regular and my girlfriend would be cool with that. But we don't live in a perfect world and that's probably ne er going to happen.

Some people have a super power where they don't care about this at all but a lot of people will.

I have no solid evidence for anything I just wrote but neither does anyone else responding to that post lol. What I'm describing above is something that we don't even talk about due to a complete lack of understanding/awareness of how gender/sexuality works for many afab people and invisibility.

(Also regarding that second paragraph about masculine gay tops well his post actually left out a lot more groups than just them and doesn't really explain me well at all. He described a few notable very visible groups and then ignored various others.)

I guess I'll 'prey on' men instead nobody cares about them haha. No I'm still not dating though.

I'm not having sex and have no strong urge to go do that irl but I'm sure my mind works similarly where it's harder to form emotional attatchments especially with cis women.

    Because I'm a pervert.

I have a lot of romantic thoughts though.. But only for very safe targets.

Maybe I was the bunny rabbit all along...

You know like a pervert but scared of everyone. I like Humanoid bunny people though.

There's all the creepy and evil bunnies too but they look small and cute. Just like me for real.

Edit: Lol I just remembered Anya was scared of rabbits:

"It's a higher power trying to tell me through bunnies that we're all gonna die. Oh god."

every single fucking day this subreddit discusses trans, intersex, and detrans bodies, especially focusing on genitalia, in ways that feel so deeply objectifying, dehumanizing, so plainly disgusting, so profoundly uncaring about the people beneath them.
I clearly don't spend enough time on this sub to know what they're talking about.

    Right now we're objectifying bunnies.

literally just say you hate trans women, and go. stop fucking pretending under all those nebulous words, all those scary stories about mean transes you likely never been friends with nor dated in person, and just take that fucking mask off. stop being oh so concerned about biological sex, about sacred women's spaces, about totally real completely unchangable "male" characteristic and "socialization", and just say you don't want trans women here.

with traits that trans women have, you WILL have all sorts of cis and/or intersex lesbians that have these traits as well. there are cis women who can grow full beards and might not want to shave them, there are cis women with genitals that won't meet your expectations of what a woman "should" have, there are cis women with low voices, "masculine" facial traits, so many things that you will single out trans women for specifically. when cis women have those traits and keep loving themselves it's revolutionary. when trans women do it, it's not trying to be a real woman enough.
I wouldn't want to date a man with a beard and although this never came up with my ex's you've just made me realise they could randomly decide to grow one at any point on impulse.

Oh my God. Much to think about and add to my avoidant attachment fuel.

It's OK maybe I can bribe them by offering to shave my legs which I never do. Gotta be smart (psychopathic,) and not shave for these occasions. I still wont shave my legs I end up with too many cuts on my skin - the one time I tried that and then I feel bad because I view my body in third person. Those legs didn't do anything to anyone they don't deserve that. That's not true one time I was swinging back and forth on the stairs as a kid while my brother was walking up and I accidentally kicked him in the nose and he got a nose bleed. Another time he was distracting me from my ps1 gaming so I kicked him hard in the back and then my dad ripped the console out of the wall and was like 'you could have damaged his kidneys.' So like, didn't do that again.

    Hair removal cream.

Can you imagine if I made surreal adverts like that? Existential horror shaving ads.

Gillette didn't go far enough with their trans boy shaving ad in scaring the hoes (conservatives,) we must go further.

Like when Ben Shapiro found this video about him created by surreal entertainment 8:31 into this video (it's his growing disturbance as he realises he has not seen this video before and wtf is it that really does it for me):

I jest a bit but I actually do view my breasts as though they are not mine in the mirror and my [BEEP] is like an alien entity the one time I looked. Felt like I was having a bad trip. Think it's a neurological condition some people call being trans or something.

    Unironically probably:

    https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6677918/

Although frequently discussed in terms of sex dimorphism, the neurobiology of sexual orientation and identity is unknown. We report multimodal magnetic resonance imaging data, including cortical thickness (Cth), subcortical volumes, and resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging, from 27 transgender women (TrW), 40 transgender men (TrM), and 80 heterosexual (40 men) and 60 homosexual cisgender controls (30 men). These data show that whereas homosexuality is linked to cerebral sex dimorphism, gender dysphoria primarily involves cerebral networks mediating self?body perception. Among the homosexual cisgender controls, weaker sex dimorphism was found in white matter connections and a partly reversed sex dimorphism in Cth. Similar patterns were detected in transgender persons compared with heterosexual cisgender controls, but the significant clusters disappeared when adding homosexual controls, and correcting for sexual orientation. Instead, both TrW and TrM displayed singular features, showing greater Cth as well as weaker structural and functional connections in the anterior cingulate-precuneus and right occipito-parietal cortex, regions known to process own body perception in the context of self.
    https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5738422/

Our findings suggest that the neuroanatomical signature of transgenderism is related to brain areas processing the perception of self and body ownership, whereas homosexuality seems to be associated with less cerebral sexual differentiation.
I like low voices though. Well it's all relative. Also I like lots of different voices. Voices are great.

Thats why I like audio porn so much.

Stop lecturing people to be attracted to others not only does it not work but you're doing it on behalf of a group you don't belong to - trans women - and given this is the number one negative stereotype weaponised by transphobes you may want to stop.

It's so boring and repetitive. Just like my posts.

"They're forcing lesbians to be attracted to them."

"Lesbians are asexual virgins who should never be sexualised by bisexuals or trans women. Cis conservative men may be OK though and also maybe lesbians don't even exist in the first place."

"Imagine you end up in the toilet alone with 3 cute trans women. In the UK. The horror."

Yawn. (I'm not endorsing these opninions this is how the discourse is.)

It's so dumb anyway because there are so many creepy chasers they can reject.

I think this is just OPs elaborate way of saying they want to [BEEP] a trans woman. You didnt have to go this far just talk about monster energy drinks or something:

What? That's clearly what he's saying. He likes Nick Fuentes and he said he thinks a lot of hot girls drink monster energy drinks.

So he either means shoeonhead or trans women. But he said girls (plural)...

Nevermind shoeonhead is trans I forgot:

(I'm going to steelman their argument for 5 seconds and say that a lot of Hollywood and creative people or other people in entertainment are androgynous and/or [BEEP] - this seems to happen globally outside very repressive traditional conservative Abrahamic religious cultures which attempt to repress these things - so that's what they're picking up on. It's because of associated personality traits. Doesn't mean they're all secretly trans though. It also doesn't mean Avril Lavigne is a robot/clone/dead. Maybe we should go back to when everyone was just aliens/lizards. Also on that note shoeonhead is bisexual.)

So he's a chaser. Or an egg but you know both is common I'm told. 50/50.

you people just cannot be fucking normal about any lesbians who aren't cis, perfectly abled and neurotypical, white, thin, and pretty.
If it helps I can't be normal either. And I'm not a lesbian.

I want to say I am bisexual to be extra edgy but I don't label my sexuality that lol. Especially since I couldn't make it work with men irl (why I initially questioned my sexuality,) and never tried dating women in the first place.

Yes well. Everyone told me I couldn't be anything while simultaneously insisting I have to be in the box they want me to be in. So now I'm passive aggressively going to be t̷̨̤̜̣̩̫͎̼̻͈̩̩̦̄̎͗̏̚5̸̺̄̈́͌͌̽4̷̗̖͌̍̈́̅͝3̴̈́̀͂̈͊̃̏͠ ͐̀̓ ̥̺̰͓̲̀̀͌

Missingno is just like me fr.

And then maybe passively destroy your civilisation I dunno. It always ends in that. Kind of boring.

I love messed up glitches. I'm going to have to watch this video 23.2 times before I understand what they are saying.

Lol that other lesbian subreddit is full of women complaining about bisexual women who say women are terrifying and date men but I get what they mean. Probably not for the same reasons but yeah.

Everyone is terrible though. Especially right wing men on twitter.

    Comments:

This is the most trans-friendly lesbian subreddit (not counting trans-exclusive subs). As a trans woman I've never encountered any of the transmisogyny here that people are complaining about today.
I'm quite confused and I've usually seen most of the bs people are talking about in various spaces.

    Also trans, same experience here.

Tbh, I kind of stopped frequenting this sub because it did feel more like a trans dating advice sub than a lesbian one. I appreciate that dating is difficult for trans women, and I think transphobia in lesbian communities should be called out every time it happens. This has always been such a welcoming and friendly sub in my experience though.

And sometimes even I don't want every discussion to revolve so tightly around my transness. I wanna just kind of vibe in my community of fellow gay women.
Unless you're honed in on it, it can be hard to notice. It's not people typing in all caps saying that all trans women are awful or anything. It's trans women constantly being downvoted in every thread. It's trans threads being inundated with cis people speaking over the experience of the trans people involved. It's cis people talking down to trans people and acting condescending when a trans person speaks up about something that upsets them. It's the constant "This subreddit is mostly trans women" that I see peddled by cis people every now and then. Any space that has cis people and trans people interacting will have cis people saying transphobic crap that is juuuuuust acceptable enough for the general public that nobody really questions it, unfortunately.
Anyone can downvote stuff. They might not even be lesbians. I'm not even a lesbian lol.

Also, I just saw a trans woman say the subreddit was mostly trans women coincidentally.

Thinking about it though I would expect that because a lot more trans women than cis women are lesbians:

Of the trans women respondents 27% answered gay, lesbian, or same-gender-loving, 20% answered bisexual, 19% heterosexual, 16% pansexual, 6% answered asexual, 6% queer, and 6% did not answer.
And even though trans women are a small percentage they're not on reddit ime there are quite a lot posting there. The tiny percentage of cis lesbians (isn't it like 1-2% of cis women?) Are not necessarily active posters on reddit and lesbian subreddits in particular.

Oh god I've once again overestimated just like the percentage of straight women who would be into trans women (some gay guy was like 'all straight women are interested in feminine guys and trans women these days' which I thought was ridiculous but even I overestimated the percentage who might be lol at least for trans women it was like 1.8% of straight women who were into any trans people in general):

For women 97.7% identified as heterosexual, 0.8% as lesbian and 1.4% as bisexual. Nevertheless, 8.6% of men and 15.1% of women reported either feelings of attraction to the same gender or some sexual experience with the same gender.
I think that percentage varies though. I was probably thinking of younger women or something.

    Oh that's from 2001-2002.

    2012-2013

An update on the above study; it employs the same methodology, has a larger sample (20,055 respondents),[18] and a broader respondent age range (16-69). The study found that 96.5% of the entire sample (or 96.8% of the men and 96.3% of the women) identified as heterosexual, a drop from the 2003 findings (97.5%).[19] Homosexuals accounted for 1.9% of the male population and 1.2% of the female population, a non-significant difference between the sexes. Bisexuals accounted for 1.3% of the male population and 2.2% of the female population. Women were significantly more likely than men to identify as bisexual, and less likely to report exclusively other-sex or same-sex attraction and experience. Similarly, more women reported same-sex experience and same-sex attraction. Nine percent of men and 19% of women had some history of same-sex attraction or experience. More women identified as lesbian or bisexual than in 2001-02. Homosexual/gay identity was more common among men with university education and living in cities, and much less common among men with blue-collar jobs. Both male and female bisexuality were more common among respondents under the age of 20. Male bisexuality was also overrepresented among men in their sixties.[18]
That seems closer yeah. These studies were in Australia:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demogr...al_orientation

    2016

A female-only survey found that 8% of Canadian women identify as gay or bisexual.[33]
    Interesting...

    2017

According to a nationally representative study organized by Kantar TNS, 88% of Mexican men aged 18 to 30 years identify as heterosexual, 6% as homosexual, 5% as bisexual, and 1% as other.[68]
That's actually higher than in the US which I'm told is the LGBT+ woke capital of the world.

    Czech Republic

In 2015, around 7% of men and 10% of women identified as gay, according to a survey of around 30,000 people by the Faculty of Science at Charles University in Prague.[35] However, it was a survey of sexual behaviour of Czechs and took about 90 minutes to complete, so only highly motivated people completed the survey.[35] Research on sexual behaviour continued in 2016, with some surveys of the research receiving up to 40,000 responses. According to the research, the number of non-heterosexual men in the Czech Republic is 6.7%, and 11.5% of women.[36][37] The researchers said the numbers did not seem right to them, and they verified them multiple times in other surveys with other people, but they believe the data are credible.[37]
If you base it on behaviour you can get higher results which is funny. The numbers don't seem right to them because you decided to go by behaviour.

Data scientist Seth Stephens-Davidowitz reported that the actual prevalence of gay men does not appear to vary between states in the U.S. because the percentage of Internet porn searches that are for gay male porn are nearly the same in all states, about 5 percent. Stephens-Davidowitz argues that in states where there is a social stigma against homosexuality that "many more gay men are in the closet than are out".[111][112] Less than ten years following the United States v. Windsor (2013) and Obergefell v. Hodges (2015) U.S. Supreme Court decisions,[113][114] Gallup found that nationwide public support for same-sex marriage had increased to 70% in 2021 while same-sex married couples accounted for 0.5% of all U.S. households and unmarried same-sex couples accounted for 0.4% of all U.S. households in the 2020 United States census.[115][116]
Many straight women watch lesbian porn, so you're going to get very confused if you go down that route.

    I'm super straight/gay so I don't watch lesbian porn.

Actually many women also watch gay male porn so you might want to filter that one by gender somehow too. I assume they must be otherwise that'd be a weird assumption to make. Like specifically on pornhub the most viewed category for women was lesbian porn which is how people know that (but also just the mountains of anecdotal evidence in the form of online posts.)

So yeah the percentages vary a bunch.

This subreddit feels like a microcosm of everything transfeminists on Tumblr have issues with on Tumblr.
    Love the lack of clarity.

Yeah well Reddit is mostly terrible in general so idk maybe we should all just find better places to spend our time. I'll kick my Reddit addiction someday and I will be much happier when I do.
I would not recommend ever going onto twitter lol.

Fucking for real, the number of people saying the same [BEEP] day in and day out, agonizing over whether or not it's transphobic to not want to date a trans woman, making entirely new posts for the same borderline or explicitly transphobic questions is nauseating. No, you?re not a monster for having a genital preference but I?m not trying to [BEEP] you so maybe stop bringing it up every time someone so much as asks why every smoothie has banana in it!
Why wouldn't you wonder that though? Oh nevermind I thought you said transphobic to want to date a trans woman my mistake.

I mostly concluded being attracted to trans women is generally fetishistic and transphobic, and being attracted to cis women is generally fetishistic and misogynistic and it's OK to be attracted to cis men in fetishistic ways for the most part (though I'll sometimes feel bad,) because they are evil and perverted or something.

I wasn't that into women anyway though to be clear.

The problem with cis guys is they're often from the 1970s.

    OK I will stop now.

Windows tells me it's 'evolution day' RIP to whatever happened here.

I'm a bit sad because my munchkin pumpkin (the words munchkin and pumpkin together are very funny to me yeah. It's like 'moo' only my brother understands that though,) is pretty shrivelled up and unusuable now. Have to put it outside in the terrible storm we are having here.
